I am definitely in love with Nuvo Drops! I purchased an acrylic nail polish stand with six levels ($18.00) and have my 40 plus colors displayed. They make me smile and happy just looking at them! I don’t have any of the dream drops or vintage ones yet and am excited to get a few of those. Such a pretty finish on those dream drops!

Thank you Justine! I bought 6 Nuvo drops at a craft show but barely use them! I had trouble getting them round. Dropping them from above didn't work but your technique of putting the tip close to the paper did! I will use them more now!😀💖 Hopping over to Hedgehog Hollow!
Great tips. I am ashamed to say I have only a few colours. But I have been using them very sparingly as I already had a lot of already made embellishments. But my collection is getting bigger every month or so. Thank you for sharing!
Good video. Lots of info. I have a bunch of drops and I couldn’t tell you if they are jewel or dew or whatever.. they just look like drops in pretty colors. I have to say that the glow in the dark one is pretty cool! My favorites were the ones with the butterflies! TFS!
I love the butterfly card. How did you make the wings look darker n thicker in some areas? I know you mentioned embossing powder but can you explain a little more? Thanks
You shared some ideas I hadn’t thought of. Thank you! If I make my drops ahead, I just use a release sheet so after they are dry, I can just add them to a baggie. Then I can use a drop of glue and add them like a sequin or pearl. I’m not good at keeping them flat and I tend not to use glue dots as they don’t stay sticky here in the desert.
Hi Justine....So, I have quite a few bottles of the Nuvo drops. However, I have trouble with them flattening out on the tops...even if I let them dry untouched for a week or more before they are stored with other completed cards. They just don’t stay ‘domed’ like they should. Any ideas on why this might be happening & what I can do to remedy the situation? Doesn’t seem like they should still be pliable after a week! Thanks 😊
They shouldn’t be doing that but if it’s multiple bottles that are having issues, it could be the climate you live in unfortunately. Is it humid? Damp?
Well, I live in the Central Valley of northern CA, so humidity shouldn’t be the cause. I probably should contact the NUVO people and see what they suggest. It’s frustrating because I love how they look initially. Thanks for your help.

I am an experienced crafter but no matter what technique I use I can’t get smooth drops with Nuvo 😳 they always have a peak, I have tried so many ways! I am wondering if mine are a bit cold as my craft room is cold ? They don’t seem as liquid as these appear to be. I tried putting in my pocket for a while but they went too runny!! I love the colours but am not using them because of the peak issue 😕

I have a question? I use them and get a perfect rounded shape and I let them dry over night and then they always get flattened out when stored or sent on a card. What can I do to prevent this? I love the look of them and was so excited when they came out, but I don't like the flattened look!
It may be the environment you live in. Mine do this at times as well when it’s warm outside. Keep them in the fridge? Lol no that’s not realistic. I will chat with tonic and see if they have any suggestions
Barbara Lassiter, are you saying the drops flatten out when the card goes through the mail? I was wondering how they would withstand the mailing process. Anxious to learn if Tonic has any suggestions.
@@justinehovey I am also interested in resolving this issue. I bought several colors and have let them harden for several weeks and they still flatten out when I put the cards in a clear sleeve. I am very discouraged with this product. I live in an area that has some humidity, but not a lot and is warmish (75-80F), but not hot. I could never mail these cards.
I have been so enjoying this collaborative series!! This is a huge ask but I'm going to do it anyway. Because of your enthusiasm with the Catherine Pooler inks, I, too, have begun using them almost exclusively...the coverage, the color saturation are amazing! I own all of the Party colors, but none of the Spa colors. As I know you're familiar with both the Catherine Pooler inks and the Nuvo drops, is it possible for you 2 advise which Nuvo drop colors coordinate with the Catherine Pooler Party Collection inks? It's okay if you tell me to go jump in a lake. 😜 I will still love your videos. ❤️
Just a thought - some of your drops look a little too thick. Add a drop or two of water to your bottles. I've done this to a couple of my bottles and it works beautifully! I had two bottles that would dry with the tail on top, so I researched and found out Nuvo drops are water based, so I thought adding water would help, and sure enough, it did. I added one or two drops at a time and then shook the bottle to ensure it's mixed and tested. I add more water based on my test results, and have had not issues at all.
Thank you SO much. Most of my drops behave beautifully but there are some that always have a pointy top no matter what I’ve tried. I’m going to try this and see if I can fix that!

Anyway, i was wondering if you, or anyone else here, know of any product that’s similar to Glossy Accents - but that doesn’t dry yellow-y when applied to white cardstock? I tried Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew (clear) to cover a row of white mini bunny die cuts, as I was trying to seal in a clear sparkle spectrum noir pen and also make the bunnies high gloss, for a child’s easter card. It didn’t work out too well for me (lol) - and I think i had a hard time because it’s not self-leveling or meant for that large of an area, as well as some user error. I even tried putting it on in a thin layer to avoid possible cracking (that I’ve only heard about) but wow, i really made a mess. Any help you or anyone can give me, would be very much appreciated.

There’s not a lot of info listed but it does look like it’s clear and non-yellowing; also no little air bubbles like Glossy Accents can sometimes give me.

You're room is probably on the cool side, stick them under your armpit LOL consistant temperature is key.

I think I would have to invest in the rest of the colours to do an accurate one but I'll see what I can do

Not to sure of anything but you could buy thick clear embossing powder and give that a try?
