Tell me who isn't proud of their people? You should pack in the infantile posturing and allow people to enjoy the video of Uyo. Or risk being responded to in the adversarial language you are so assiduously promoting and dragging the good name of your state down with you.
@@R.E.V.O.L.T That is rich coming from you, isn't it? If you knew how those whose main occupation involves toiling with soot and grime in the kitchens while dwelling in the worst slums everywhere, the offensive, pungent, rotten smell etc. generally associated with such persons, you would avoid the subject of personal hygiene studiously to avoid hurting yourself further.
Of course, yes. What did you expect from a state that could not keep the brilliance, money-spinning capacity and attractiveness of the TINAPA Resort in Calabar? The Obudu Cattle Ranch is also facing the same abandonment and poor maintenance. Successive governors of Cross River State need to be brought out in public and given 40 dirty strokes of the Saudi Arabian Whip.
We need more states to accelerate grassroot development.. if this state was still under cross rivers, these cities would never be as developed as this.. 100 states and lesser LGA..
Very nice video of a great city. This is an example of what a people can achieve when they have the right attitude, worldview and work ethics which the Annang/Ibibio people have in abundance. They have a great future in contrast to those folks idling about all day consuming ethanol and waiting for "oil compensation" or blaming their neighbours for phantom "domination".
I think it is better to say the people of Akwa Ibom state as it is comprised of several tribes who are all forward thinking and have excellent work ethics not only the Annang and Ibibio. My guess is you are not from the State and are not too familiar so an innocent oversight.
Uyo has the best roads in Nigeria after Lagos and Abuja but where it lag behind is good houses. Beautiful roads with shanties all over the city. Government has tried in putting infrastructures in place, it remains for individuals to fill the city with modern structures just like Enugu city
What do you know about Uyo? Some of you comment without any insight or knowledge of the area. Uyo has structured residential areas and estate. If you are looking for residential houses you won't find them along newly constructed highways.
Akwa Ibom is budgeting another $220 billion for road projects for the year 2025. Uyo is a futuristic city. Today, the focus is on infrastructures. That’s how to attract investors. The aluminum smelting company is being revived at the moment, Bua is building a 200,000 bpd refinery, an Indian company is coming to build a steel and power plant, landmark beach project is going on there at the moment. The list is endless. Akwa Ibom is blessed with visionary leaders. The future will tell. Y’all are only seeing today just like your corrupt leaders. Akwa Ibom is all about the future. I'm quite gutted seeing that all the time in all the roads in Nigeria d only state that tried to shift away from such it's the FCT and it's only on some specific areas.
More than ever before, the federal government should bend over backwards in their efforts to connect Nigeria ! This is why the Lagos Calabar highway is a one almighty important infrastructure for the country! Someone can leave Lagos and be in Uyo in some 4 hours travelling through the coastal highway without interference and hindrance! Every major highway should be solidly tarred to link all our developing cities to one another! They should also implement rail infrastructure to the same effect! With such infrastructure, Nigerians wouldn't travel overseas as much as they are doing now! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!!
You are correct Road connection is more feasible and less expensive than the rail connection everyone is talking about. Rail is expensive and will take us longer to execute as we don't have steel manufacturing. What we do have is cement and granite in large quantities. Let's build freeways linking all the 6 zones of the country so any one travelling can just hop on the freeways to get to where they are going.
Only lagos Abuja and porthacourt are ahead of ibadan forget about the popular acient areas even those ones have nice areas. Ibadan has been 2 stadia and flyovers since the 1970s.
