I actually already had this exact mat in my cart, which is nuts since there are so many different ones listed on Amazon. So I deleted it from my cart just so I could add it via your link, which maybe you'll get something out of it, haha

Buying a plastic chair mat is SO complicated now. There used to be just ONE type of plastic chair mat and all of them were very thick and durable and they didn't sink into the carpet or leave caster indentations. I need to replace my old chair mat but have no idea what to buy anymore because most of the mats offered today are just useless garbage. GREED is the reason they do this. Years ago they didn't make this thin crap because manufacturers wanted to offer the best quality product available but that's not the business model anymore. Now it's all about maximizing PROFIT. You also used to be able to buy good, thick mats for $15-20 but today they're extortionately expensive. GREED makes me sick.
With more people working from home every cheap product is on the market
Thank the government greed for debasing your purchasing power so all the good mats are extortionately expensive. Dont blame producers, blame the actual culprit who robs you everyday (government).

One of the Amazon reviews noted the edges were sharp and needed sanding. How are the edges on yours?
I just rubbed my fingers on the edge and it did not feel like it is possible to cut me. My son has not had any problems with the edge either. Thanks for watching!
it's sharp but hasn't cut me yet. Sometimes uncomfortable. My biggest issue with this is it slides all the way to the country border. I tried lots of things to stop it from sliding but so far nothing worked. think I'll have to bolt it down to the house structure, but I'm afraid if I do that the house will go with it.
Why would someone need the spikes on the bottom, as opposed to the one you showed in the video? Does the one you have slide around the carpet due to not having spikes that dig into the carpet?
Depending on a variety of factors such as carpet type, movement, etc. will impact how much the mat moves. Some tape or grips such as these geni.us/dwwOTwm (amazon) should help as long as they won't damage the floor.

I use a piece of MDF which has a laminate floor effect on it,
What did you do on the edge?
@@peaeye3467 it's on carpet so the edge isn't that noticeable. It sinks in a little the MDF is not very thick it's about 1cm thick

Here it is, If the mat can be rolled up, it won't last on any carpets but berber and commercial grade.
Nice review but you need to put an adult in that chair to see how it works with someone who weighs more.
