This track is a slight deviation from my normal opera/Celtic/musical theatre bag! But I have always loved this melody and decided to record a version that echoed a little something of all the main characters in the Dracula movie - tender, otherworldly and lovesick.
The song was arranged for piano, cello, violin and flute but the very talented Mary McCague (violinist in Affiniti). I hope you enjoy - and Happy Halloween!!!

This is absolutely Beautifully sung, I just love the emotions she shows when singing.

(March 2 2019) I had the privilege and pleasure of meeting this angel in person in Baraboo Wisconsin during the "Songs Of Ireland" tour. Emer made it a point to give her fans a M@G after the show which featured 8 wonderful Irish vocalists. After she was done with her CD promotion, she gave me her undivided attention. Emer made me feel like I was the only person in the world. A fact- which I long expected about her- was confirmed. That Emer was a rare,special lady who is just as beautiful inside as the obvious outside. xx

This is a beautiful rendition in it's own right as a Classical take never meaning to take away from the Lennox original, & what a beautiful voice you have. Is it not strange about Dracula as opposed to other Evil inventions of books & film that with Dracula most people end up feeling sorry & a lot of sympathy for him, like they want to see him saved rather than he destroyed/ die ?! Not the intention of the Author Stoker originally but as interpretations moved on in time we see him being someone trapped yet still deep down with a loving soul that if only could be released for some final years in happiness !

Taking nothing from Annie Lenox who did a great version of this song, THIS is the version the song needed... Superlatives are too inadequate and cliche for something like this.. You know what you did... Love it.

exquisite, very Greta Garbo look I think.
Love the voice & arrangements but sounds too draggy for me, could have been perfect if it's not. Articulation is much better than the original but maybe that's what makes the original is so special
