COVID-19: Punjab govt turns Barnala jail into quarantine center

Barnala (Punjab), Apr 17 (ANI): Punjab has turned Barnala jail into quarantine center to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic. At least 203 inmates shifted to Central Jail Bathinda from District Jail Barnala and 100 inmates shifted to New Jail Nabha. The step has been taken to avoid any possible danger of coronavirus in the jail.As per the latest state health ministry data, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Punjab raised to 186. At least 13 people lost their lives due to the deadly virus.
