Illa is the king of talking like a 5 year old trying to tell you a really cool story. Regarding what I think you were trying to say lol, I agree that OP characters with mix that’s completely uninteresting or not very interactive are just kinda boring to play. I wanna feel like I earned my win by playing correctly and earning my mix.
I've been a massive fan of low tiers since Brawl. But I think it was because my brothers and I played the game casually (we didn't even know that Meta Knight was the best in the game) and didn't care too much about fighting games competitively up until Smash Ultimate's debate on Steve being legal and Labcoat 21 during The Fusion meta. I've been a massive fighting game fan since; in the past year alone, I've started playing DBFZ, Guilty Gear -Strive- & Xrd, Street Fighter (2, 4 & 5) and Tekken 7. I've come to the realisation that I like summoners and setplay characters (if they're low tier, then better lmao). So I'm pretty sure I play for the grind, in the sense that there's no excuse for me winning except that I've spent way too much time on my characters.
This is a strange comparison, but in terms of playing 1-touch characters in fighting games I felt that way playing Steve in Smash Ultimate. I started winning almost every game, getting 60% true combos off of 1 jab, but it was not that fun lol. People just kept getting hit by the same things since Steve has so much BS you have to be aware of. Recently I've had much more fun playing Kirby, a much worse character for sure but it's fun being an underdog getting sick reads instead of being a top tier pulling the same BS over and over. Hell I've had more fun playing random and just trying my best with whatever character I end up with.
Regardless of the Max BP, you should keep making DBFZ vids if you like making them. I think you provide an excellent bridge between useful tech/knowledge and players who are looking to improve so thank you for that. Also youre a safe space for the 67 sweaty gotenks (me included thanks to you) mains out there so they need ya. Also you’re just a cool dude to listen to. In case you needed a reminder, you’re doing great :)
scared the shit outta me also, the single button win button thing just removes all the interactivity of the game. I like to win, but I like to win using a vast array of tools. I like the mental aspect of FGs and a Win Button just rips that out.
I agree but there is a part of me that just wants to win. But I think the part of me that feels that way is more concerned with like hoping people think I'm cool than actually playing and enjoying a game. But like if someone did wanna play the character I'd be like "that makes sense"
On the one shot char, it depends. If it feels rewarding/difficult to do consistently, then yeah I'd be down. But if its too easy then I'd probably ignore it. But then again I play Adult Gohan so lol
You can actually play gt goku anchor I think he pairs really well with gotenks. As far as an anchor there are really a lot of choices. krillin, tien, base goku, majin 21, honestly whoever. But if you wanna win and don't mind playing a ki blast assist I think my best recommendation would be Janemba
@@illaGreenTeatried baseku, didn’t click with me tho. Might try him again in the future idk. I guess I will go with janemba. Thanks for the help I just wish there would be more anchors in general available in the game
If you mean the one after 5h I like to wait a tiny bit before I do the beam after I 5h them. I found that it makes the combo a little bit more consistent. If you mean any other one There's really nothing to it but do do it as fast and as tight as you can.
@illaGreenTea oh alr by the way the new beam change with gotenks messes up my combos so bad and it doesn't even feel like I'm holding up when I do beam

Back to back Gogeta Blue rage quits is insane 😂
i am a combo enjoyer so ofc i rather like playing the game than jus to win
I have the same team as you, but I’m not sure on playing beerus/teen gohan, is there any other anchor you would recommend me? I rly wanna play gt goku

14:32 haha that character exists there called steve
13:42 I would only play that character if the other person played them cause then it would be fair and kinda fun again
If there was a character who could press THIRTEEN buttons and win instantly I'd play them.
For like a week and then drop the game after getting bored
the title is literally me
Lets gooo I got a shout out
How do you get that Gotenks rejump so consistent (the one with the shout cancel)

@@illaGreenTea oh I meant the one where you do 2M 5M sj.M 236S SD j.M jc.M 6S 214L 5LLL
I find that 5LLL really hard to get consistent 😭
So true

Hahaha that character exists they're called labcoat 21

After max points you become the gatekeeper 😤
You're actually so right
Wait did u drop beerus ?
I thiiiiiink so I really just wanted a dp assist
@illaGreenTea oh alr by the way the new beam change with gotenks messes up my combos so bad and it doesn't even feel like I'm holding up when I do beam
