@@SivaKumar-pm2zw I can understand your situation. But not all people go and work in foreign countries. We need to develop our own country as well. If they learn only american accent.. What if they go to another country. Finally everywhere neutral accent is easy to communicate and understand as well. Each country has its own accent, but every where neutral accent works. I am telling this with my 18 years experience.
For political aspects they are applying this formula (american accent on kids) for their political benefits which leads to tongue twist fails for the children in their initial stages.

I work in IT industry, I see lot of people having trouble speaking, some one personally telling me how funny we telugu people have English accent. Knowledge is fine but having the confident to speak is the ultimate winner. These kids are very fortunate to have this opportunity at this very young age.
Am the one working in software company suffering with lack of english fluency due to that no able to speak confidently in meeting with client still my team lead should join in meeting to help me what client asking. He team lead don't have technical skills but i have technical skills but don't have english skills
