- So, I hopped on Blue Flag once again, however this time on the Red team. Under the guise of Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz, I went out with the full intent of being useful for once, by doing SEAD on the enemy airbases we were aiming for. A whole ton of things went on this round and it was a blast! So sit back and enjoy, it's a long one but entertaining at that.
We use Simple Radio (SRS) for communication.

Some of those guys had some seriously authentic sounding headsets, by which I mean they sounded like they were talking from their bathroom, but it only added to the realism haha

Yeah, that was me :D I was wondering what killed me. I thought it was one of the Gazelles which was able to stay airborne for a minute or two. It's cool to know what it actually was :D But yeah, kinda my fault too. It was risky to fly this close while seeing everything around me go boom
At least it was only accidental and not outright firing on a friendly. AXE 1-2 (your M2K escort) got splashed later on by a friendly Viggen. Who thought he was a Harrier.

I used to hate playing on Red with all the bad comms but this round was pleasant, still some unclear comms here and there but it was mostly fun. Props to our AWACS for keeping his shit together.

Hey Ralfi, I'm looking into upgrading my equipment for flight siming, which included for about a decade now a janky ST290 Pro along with other failing hardware. My question is: What kind of headset would you recommend to fit with the Track IR clips? I had a quick look on eBay and I saw lots of thick headsets with RGB (plain black pls) and crap and was wondering if the clip would actually fit.
Well if TrackIR doesn't clip in, you can always use a rubber band to hold it in place. I did that for one of my older headsets, worked just fine.
Yeah, I'll find a way regardless. Umm I guess in general, any in particular that you liked? I haven't ever had a proper headset and have literally no experience with brands and stuff, been using whatever I could get my hands on.
Senheisers 363d was mine and it was the best goddamn headset I've ever purchased. The most comfortable and the best mic, but a bit expensive. If you want it, look for the slightly upgraded version, 700 series or something. Other than that, the Sennheiser GAME ONE or GAME ZERO are also an option but I have no experience with them.

Video quality leaves much to be desired, even at 1080p60. Go to 0:40 and watch the edges of the HUD smearing around. RUclips just doesn't give 1080p video the bitrate it needs to be crisp
Ralfi, I know you've mentioned in the past that you don't want to increase your upload bitrate, but have you tried rendering at 1440p with the same bitrate? The render will take a little longer, but the upload time should stay the same, and RUclips has a higher bitrate allowance for 1440p that should make things look a good bit nicer.
