They were most likely making adjustments to everything, in order to march each side. There are minor differences from one car to the next due to spot welds done at the factory. The factory probably as a tolerance thats is allowed which is kinda like saying plus/minus 10% is good but for our cars its probably more like plus/minus 1-2% or less
I have a question?.. can you melt the front and rear bumper to add in a wider carbon fiber fender piece.. I wanna make my Evo x fenders wider and smooth without any lines I was thinking if I can heat up the front and rear bumper fender part and heat up my carbon fiber piece and stick them together while it's hot and after its dry I smooth it out and spray it the color of the car.. the doors I can weld the aluminum fenders on
Why were you cutting the sideskirts? Don't they fit with out modifications directly from VARIS? I ask because I plan on buying a set and thought it was a direct replacement from the stock skirts
+evolutionxrg it was cut mainly due to the fact that the tyre when turning the wheel will most likely rub against that section of the sideskirt due to meaty tyres, pretty common on going widebody + thicker tyres, check out CZeroMedia's channel as he did this to his evo as well and he also explains why as well.
@itsmaikool you're wrong. I know its two years late, but the front fenders are not cut, they are replaced with +35mm fenders. the REARS were cut due to fitment of wheels, or future wheels. #slam
nice build. coming along nicely
