Ty Arith, I have been wondering what a pagan ritual I could experience on this yule time. I live in a small country town in northern CA and I also believe in this info that you have shared about the ancestors holding their presence in certain places! I wonder why Americans dont connect with local First Nations rather than copy European practice? Different land obvs . Many Churches in Europe were built on pagan sites whereas in US churches were just put up in town .
@@rippedtorn2310 we have well some in the past have. My family on my mom's side comes from the Ozark Mountains, and it's the same for folk magic all across the country. It's a mix of what our families started with, in my case it's a mix of places from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and some eastern European along with later Native American. Not to mention letting our hearts lead to new ways and things. In my family we still do 12 days of Yule starting on the solstice and the last day being the first of January. But we also celebrate Christmas just not so much in the religious way, more of the secular way and going back to the old feast days as well. Then like I said mixed in with how our hearts path have lead each of us, so over time things keep changing, but beliefs just like magic as far how I believe, have never ment to be stagnant but to grow and evolve with us and sometimes that even means going full circle back to where we began so very long ago.

Hello Arith. Happy Solstice to you and yours.
It is interesting to note, that many churches, especially the old ones, do not become sacred places.
But they were built on places that were already sacred, often repurposing any stones etc. that were there, to actually build the church.
In my country, by the rites of my kin, these sacred places were often utilised by choral song by the community to a stone circle, for example. And indeed, these churches still do host communal choral singing, at more or less the same sacred days in the calendar. These are now known as carols, and hymns.
We also have a tradition of making offerings at these places. The sacred circle, as well as the church.
It is also a hang over tradition, that the dead are buried close to, or at, these sacred places, which today is known as the church graveyard. These would have as their origin - kindred crypts, or what we call tumulus.
In todays world, it is hard for us to envisualise an extended family that continued in the same place for many generations, but that is how it was, so the act of encircling these sacred areas was much closer to a kindred, or family, ancestral communion. Indeed, in ancient communities, it was extremely likely, that a person was related to their whole village, even if distantly.
As a Druid, I would like to offer some guidance on the practice to those that are interested.
It is generally adviseable to perambulate a sacred place for which you have a personal connection, or familiarity. The word association of family and familiarity is important in this context.
The number of encirclements is not set. Each rotation will increase the spiritual energy. It is important that you meditate, or pray, about a specific need for wisdom constantly while you walk. The communion will begin once you have acquired sufficient spiritual energy.. You will sense when this happens. The direction is also important. Counterclockwise if you are summoning wisdom from the past, clockwise if you require guidance for the future. Never do both.
The date is quite important. These rituals should occur on natural transpositions, which are far more powerful than a human invented day. Therefore the winter and summer solstice, and the equinoxes, are more powerful than Christmas, Easter, or any other christianised day. These days of natural renewal are not transmutable. Either in the living, or spiritual world, so are a specific focus for communion purposes.
The ancient sacred places were always on an energy line. These energies are important to powering the spiritual connection with the living, and the spiritual. But be advised, just as with the living, not all spirits are compassionate. Do not fear this. Just as you do not live in fear in the knowledge that there are some quite evil people in the world. We just avoid them, and do not associate with them, in the spiritual world as much as the living world. The only power they have over you, is the power you allow them.
I wish greetings to all people on this special day, but especially my Aryan brethren of the Celtic, Norse, Germanic, Amazigh, Abenaki, Gaunches, and Pheonician peoples.

I may just try this thank you. I am already aware of different entities being in the workplace especially since they highly associate the place with their identity in life. Churches definitely have a different energy. But lately my room in my house has had a presence that feels upset. Its been bad lately and im loosing sleep. May just have to do it at my home and church down the street
I have done this for a couple of years. This year will be the 5th year. I have experienced things during thise walks. You should not talk to or respond to weird things that happens around you when you do. Shadows, strange animals, what ever.

During a Solstice Stone Circle ceremony, I noted a chap walking counter clockwise around us.. I thought it was rude & meddling. Was I wrong?
My neighbour, who lives below me just recently came up to my steps to say hello. He was with a friend. As they were talking, he kept telling his friend, “Don’t look her in the eye! Look down, look over there! Just don’t give her eye contact.” I’m aware they may believe me to be a witch, however I’m not aware of any reason to not be allowed to share eye contact with someone of differing beliefs. Is this something I should be wary of, or am I just overthinking the exchange?

There is truth in what you say... I personally find it completely unnecessary to work with any of that... I cultivate my own raw personal power from within... Sometimes with very carefully positive clockwise movements... I am so hated by other nonmuggles that I have literally watched witches walk counter clockwise around ME when I was meditating... I intuited and telepathically annulled that ridiculous vampirism instantly... That was before I consciously looked into this.
