  • Hey Guy’s! Welcome back to my channel. In today’s video I show you how to make a copycat version of The Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana Soup. Also known as Sausage and Potato Soup.
I wanted to make this soup for Monty so I looked on Pinterest because I knew they would have a recipe for it. This is Monty’s favorite dish at The Olive Garden.
When he tasted it he said that it was a dead ringer of the original and that I should make it more often.
Big compliment coming from that meat and potatoes guy 😃
I hope you guys will give this recipe a try!
    Zuppa Toscana Soup:
1, 1 Pound Roll of Jimmy Deans Hot Sausage
4 Large Russet Potatoes, washed peeled and cut in whatever size you like
    1 Medium Onion, chopped
    2 Cloves Fresh Garlic, chopped
    1/2 Cup Crumbled Bacon
    2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
1, 32 Ounce Carton Chicken Broth
    1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley Flakes
1/4 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
    1 Cup Heavy Cream
1 Bunch Kale, washed, stems removed and torn into bite size pieces
In a medium size boiler pot brown sausage then remove from the pot. If you are using raw bacon add it to the boiler pot and cook it. Once done remove from the pot.
If you are using bacon pieces add them once the sausage is done and don’t remove the sausage from the pot. Let bacon bits cook a little then add the onions and let cook for 5 minutes. Add chopped garlic during the last minute. Add cornstarch and mix together so that there are no lumps.
Next add chicken broth, potatoes, red pepper flakes and parsley flakes. Once the potatoes are fork tender add heavy cream and kale. Cook until kale is wilted or done to your likeness. Enjoy!
