I legit wanted to slap Dean in the face for saying that to Castiel. He messed up, but he was broken in a way that couldn't have been repaired if he didn't go to purgatory. It was unfair for Cas. Also look at him playing Twister, his shoes are too big for him God bless his cuteness

When Castiel said "We should play Twister..." it made me wonder.... Like, I know he's hurt from what Dean said, but is he hiding his pain or wanting to take away the feelings by playing a game? To talk it all out or something?
You can hear the emotion in cas's voice, it makes me want to cry and hug him, and tell him everything will be ok even though I know it won't because this is supernatural

Anyone else notice that both times, Sorry and Twister, Dean said something pretty insulting and rude and Cass looks like he’s going to reply but always just sighs and suggests a game? Maybe it’s his way of avoiding talking about it or he feels that he deserves the punishment of his friends not trusting him anymore.

Dean was too harsh on an Angel who probably hadn't gotten used to emotions yet, and was currently mentally unstable, and it made me hurt inside to see him being treated like a weapon that lost its usefulness. I'm heated about this, about Dean's attitude, and about how Cas just takes it.
this is 3 years late but i think what dean was trying to say instead of running away he should clean up a mess he made and while he was harsh he was only saying that because he cares. he did apologize later and it's not like Castiel doesn't understand emotions by this point and also dean is grateful for the things he's done for him but that doesn't excuse any of the things he's done wrong and how he refuses to take responsibility for a mess he made. dean was wrong for putting it that way just because he was angry but he was right on what he was saying to castiel and castiel while he should take responsibilty it's totally reasonable for him to feel the way he is feeling making him not want to but they made up and he helped in the final fight. at the end of the day they're best friends who only want the best for eachother and all dean really wanted was for castiel to help clean up the mess he made which i think is totally reasonable.

I get so mad at Dean every time I see this scene. Honestly, he yells at Castiel who is currently mentally unstable and is kind of hypocritical too. After all, Sam and Dean started the apocalypse and have now let the darkness out. And every time they do this they have dragged Castiel down with them. And calling Cas broken... well, I know this is in the past, but after seeing Castiel in season eleven where he literally is broken, not just insane, but scarred and traumatized... honestly, Metatron had it right when he said Castiel was broken. I wish he wasn't, but he is, and he won't go for help, he won't talk about his problems, and if Sam hadn't pushed him to go get his grace back in season ten, he would have let himself die. I think that whenever Castiel has a problem, whenever he's broken, he thinks back to this moment and thinks that Dean doesn't care. After all, that is what he just said in this scene. Castiel now has a belief that he has to do everything on his own and this could have played a part in why Castiel was so easily convinced that he was expendable and worthless, because while I do think the Winchesters care, Castiel doesn't know that they do. He considers himself a tool, a weapon at their disposal and that if he loses use then he is nothing to them anymore and Castiel has no one else considering Heaven hates him for everything he has done to help Sam and Dean.
+FireAngel Dragon dude, this has got nothing to do with the apocalypse.. it was about the 50,000 souls or something in the purgatory. They fought over it and Cas got a hold of it all but Novak couldn't handle all of it resulting to his death. So, if you ask me, I think Castiel brought it upon himself but it's not his fault. He only wanted to save the world.

I know exactly what season this is and that Castiel did indeed release the leviathans when he used the souls of Purgatory to kill Raphael and his his followers, preventing another apocalypse. My point wasn't so much about that, but more about how Dean has made mistakes too and hasn't really owned up to them, and I found him quite cruel in this scene, especially since at the moment, Cas was INSANE. The majority of my comment was about Castiel in season eleven, actually being broken, which we have seen plenty of evidence of. I was making a connection from Dean calling him broken here and saying no one cares and Castiel actually being broken in the future and never going to anyone with his problems. He just keeps them bottled up inside and has admitted in season eight that his mistakes in season six cause him to want to kill himself. Also, why did you call him Novak? Were you referencing his vessel? Because if so, I never mentioned Jimmy, and his death was actually caused either when Lucifer or Raphael blew them both up, something Castiel tells Claire later on in season 10, though he doesn't specify which of them is responsible.
You're right about Dean, he does that even to Sam. He always condemns Sam for his mistakes. I was actually f*ck*ng furious when Dean constantly blamed Sam for the apocalypse when Dean actually started it. To be honest, there's a thousand reasons to hate Dean if only he didn't care about Sam. I was referring to the vessel as I'm not quite sure if Cas actually died at the event. I don't recall much of it.. that sh*t happened years ago.
Have to agree! Dean loses major points here. I was like "Dude, you dragged Cas out of a nice, peaceful happy life so he could trade his own sanity for your brother's, leave him in a mental ward with a demon watching over him, coming back only to bully him into helping you again when he's hardly in any condition to do so, then you tell him nobody cares he's broken and to clean up his own mess?" Yeesh! :/
FireAngel Dragon to be honest I think the winchesters at least care more then the angels do, but not as much as I would expect them too. He seriously an amazing angel 😒 so misunderstood ❤️
I got real sick of dean always “being mr tough guy” with cas. It actually ruined his character a little bit with me. He was straight up abusive to cas when cas has done nothing but support him and save him.

This scene really ruined Destiel for me. Like, we get it, they all made mistakes, and Cas did too. But that's no right to yell at him, he's just trying to help and be nice. Then you treat him like he's trash, when you know he has feelings, and poor Cas just wants to be loved and helpful, but he's always getting so much crap.
Dean had to see him like that and don't say a word or show any emotion for a day!pulling things together and even explaining to Crowley and later telling Cas he understands but even with Cas's situation,he still rather have him than loosing him!his a little snapping out after a day destroyed it for you?how weak you are!
well that people are not stupid!they can see when Dean is angry he can say all kind of cruel things but at least he's able to control himself and not say things which can never taken back!and he took back what he said just in this episode and showed how much he cares about Cas and made him really happy!people can see that no matter how much angry Dean is,at least he shows that he cares and while he saw all kinds of betrayals he was still able to forgive and don't keep his rage for too long and that's what exactly Cas loves about Dean!he told him in(7. 17) stop defending me!but people like you are just looking for even the most pathetic excuses!

@@JJScene Dean never done any of that without reason!yes he was sometimes like a squeamish girl who likes to make fun of or be very strict because that's what he is!not even Sam heard these three words(I love you) from him!he's not good at showing his emotions and usually gets misunderstood(Cas and people like you)and the season he started to be hard on Cas was season 6 when which I gived him all the rights!when both Bobby and Sam were skeptic about Cas,he was the one who believed him unconditionally and felt guilty about lying to him and when turns out that Cas was lying!just imagine yourself on his shoes!how does that feels?especially Dean which got betrayed in the past by Sam as well!even though he didn't completely forgived him,he kept his trench coat and by every episode passed you could see how much he misses Cas!one thing is always fixed!he loves Cas and doesn't want to lose him ever!he proved it a million times!and he also proved it that he is capable of forgiveness even when he feels crushed very deeply!the sweet moments of Dean and Cas always prevents even the saddest moments as you can see in this episode.
I get why Dean’s so upset. It’s not just about the war in Heaven or the Leviathans - Cas used Sam’s sanity as a bargaining chip and it nearly killed him. Yes, Cas took Sam’s hallucinations, but as far as Dean’s concerned he deserved to, as he put Sam in that situation in the first place. Dean never apologized and it’s ableist to say he even had a right to snap at Cas do you know what would happen if one of the nurses did that? They would be reported for the abuse of a vulnerable adult. He said that to placate Cas because he still needed to use him this entire episode was a tug of war on who would get to use him first like an object that’s the issue they treat him like an object.
Tbh in Cass’a defense he’s Broken and he deservere’s a little time off from fighting, I mean he’s ALWAYS there when Dean and Sam need him, in fact that one Angel was right Dean and Sam are always calling Cass whenever they need something especially in Season 6 I think when Cass was in the middle of a war they didn’t care and continued to call him. They take him for granted so badly I mean he turned in Heaven in the earlier season FOR THEM! Poor Castiel. Dean and Sam are terrible friends. Meg’s a better caretaker and somewhat friend to Castiel than they have been. We really need to see another scene where Cass beats the shit out of Dean again because he deserves it, I mean he’s messed up JUST AS BAD AS CASTIEL DID! Him and Sam brought on the apocalypse! Castiel broke down Sam’s wall, but in the end he adsorbed Sam’s unstableness or whatever and I don’t think anyone has thanked Castiel for a damn thing. Castiel IS NOT! A WEAPON! HE IS YOUR FRIEND AND YOU HAVE DONE A TERRIBLE JOB! AT TREATING HIM LIKE ONE! I cannot he the only one who gets sick of a Dean’s attitude, he’s SUCH A HYPOCRITE! And blames other people for things! Like it doesn’t matter who did it-started it whatever! Just STOP IT! I get WHY! the funny thing is that people are hating on Dean for this scene but everything he said was true and Sam has given the same reaction to Dean and Dean to Sam but when Dean is rude to Cas everyone is butthurt. Cas fucked up and did a really bad thing and just because he is cute and funny doesn’t mean that he doesn’t deserve what Dean said to him even if he is out of his mind. Dean had a normal human reaction everyone would so please just calm the fuck down.

For one this pissed me off I almost brich slapped the TV. Cas deserved so much better, they really hurt him For two, I care that he's broken. I juts want hug him. Yeah dean was really rude to cas in this scene but there was so much anger at him built up this entire season and dean’s not the most emotionally stable person either. He trusted cas when nobody else did before and when it turned out that cas had “betrayed” them by working with crowley, dean felt that the most. Dean’s constantly betrayed by the people he loves whether it be Sam, cas or Mary (and yes, he has done some pretty bad things but he’d never betray his family). Everyone mad at Dean for what he said needs to remember that he is right. Cas had good intentions but he caused catastrophic damage and he is running away. When Cas saved Dean from Hell, which he didn't do out of the goodness of his heart, he didn't give Dean any time to heal, he told him to get in line and start doing what he was told. Dean was suffering horrible trauma and was given no time to heal. Sam was crippled with trauma after Dean died, but he did everything to try to save him. He got manipulated by Ruby and thought he was saving the world but he released Lucifer, which Cas also helped in, and he didn't get to say well I ment well and I'm really traumatized, he was expected to fix it. Sam and Dean never signed up for any of this, they are pawns of Heaven and Hell, but they take responsibility and try to fix it, even when they are by far not the only ones at fault. Cas brought this on himself, yes he meant well, he thought he was doing the right thing, but the damage was still done, taking on Sam pain was the least he could do, now he has to work to fix the rest. It is not fair what is happening to any of them but Dean has every right to be upset, he is holding Cas to the same standards as he has been held to.
Dean was very harsh in this scene but i don't neccesarily think the things he was saying was wrong and you could make the argument "but dean has made plenty of mistakes he hasn't owned up to" that doesn't mean that castiel should do that too and i honestly think dean in this scene was cruel but he wasn't really wrong here but at the end of the day they're still friends they both were wrong and dean apologised later so i think it's all good now.
Dean was just saying it like it is. Wasn’t trying to be mean. Cas just needed a reality check. He more concerned about making sandwiches and party games than saving the world from what he brought in.
The only people who need reality checks are Dean and Sam. “We”re hero’s we save save the world.” Yeah name one time when you weren’t the ones who put it in danger in the first place like Raphael wouldn’t have restarted the apocalypse by any means necessary. There are so many people here hating Dean and I get it, he shouldn’t have been that harsh but whenever Castiel tries to help in the big picture without listening to Dean, he messes up big time. I’m not saying Dean is perfect but every time he tells Sam or Castiel or anyone that they shouldn’t do something and they do it anyways-things go from bad to worse. Dean say not to listen to Ruby, he told Sam not to trust Samuel, he told Castiel to stop and listen to him (begged him), he told Castiel to stop and listen to the warning of Naomi.... the list goes on. Again, not saying Dean is perfect but the boy is usually correct. So while I understand Castiel was going through a hard time here, he caused all this and sometimes tough love is what gets a person through.

I know exactly what season this is and that Castiel did indeed release the leviathans when he used the souls of Purgatory to kill Raphael and his his followers, preventing another apocalypse. My point wasn't so much about that, but more about how Dean has made mistakes too and hasn't really owned up to them, and I found him quite cruel in this scene, especially since at the moment, Cas was INSANE. The majority of my comment was about Castiel in season eleven, actually being broken, which we have seen plenty of evidence of. I was making a connection from Dean calling him broken here and saying no one cares and Castiel actually being broken in the future and never going to anyone with his problems. He just keeps them bottled up inside and has admitted in season eight that his mistakes in season six cause him to want to kill himself. Also, why did you call him Novak? Were you referencing his vessel? Because if so, I never mentioned Jimmy, and his death was actually caused either when Lucifer or Raphael blew them both up, something Castiel tells Claire later on in season 10, though he doesn't specify which of them is responsible.
You're right about Dean, he does that even to Sam. He always condemns Sam for his mistakes. I was actually f*ck*ng furious when Dean constantly blamed Sam for the apocalypse when Dean actually started it. To be honest, there's a thousand reasons to hate Dean if only he didn't care about Sam.

This scene really ruined Destiel for me. Like, we get it, they all made mistakes, and Cas did too. But that's no right to yell at him, he's just trying to help and be nice. I get why Dean’s so upset. It’s not just about the war in Heaven or the Leviathans - Cas used Sam’s sanity as a bargaining chip and it nearly killed him. Yes, Cas took Sam’s hallucinations, but as far as Dean’s concerned he deserved to, as he put Sam in that situation in the first place. Cas is probably lucky Dean didn’t straight up kill him - messing with Sam is usually a death sentence.

Dean never apologized and it’s ableist to say he even had a right to snap at Cas do you know what would happen if one of the nurses did that? They would be reported for the abuse of a vulnerable adult. He said that to placate Cas because he still needed to use him this entire episode was a tug of war on who would get to use him first like an object that’s the issue they treat him like an object.

Tbh in Cass’a defense he’s Broken and he deservere’s a little time off from fighting, I mean he’s ALWAYS there when Dean and Sam need him, in fact that one Angel was right Dean and Sam are always calling Cass whenever they need something especially in Season 6 I think when Cass was in the middle of a war they didn’t care and continued to call him. They take him for granted so badly I mean he turned in Heaven in the earlier season FOR THEM! Poor Castiel. Dean and Sam are terrible friends. Meg’s a better caretaker and somewhat friend to Castiel than they have been. We really need to see another scene where Cass beats the shit out of Dean again because he deserves it, I mean he’s messed up JUST AS BAD AS CASTIEL DID! Him and Sam brought on the apocalypse! Castiel broke down Sam’s wall, but in the end he adsorbed Sam’s unstableness or whatever and I don’t think anyone has thanked Castiel for a damn thing. Castiel IS NOT! A WEAPON! HE IS YOUR FRIEND AND YOU HAVE DONE A TERRIBLE JOB! AT TREATING HIM LIKE ONE! I cannot he the only one who gets sick of a Dean’s attitude, he’s SUCH A HYPOCRITE! And blames other people for things! the funny thing is that people are hating on Dean for this scene but everything he said was true and Sam has given the same reaction to Dean and Dean to Sam but when Dean is rude to Cas everyone is butthurt. Cas fucked up and did a really bad thing and just because he is cute and funny doesn’t mean that he doesn’t deserve what Dean said to him even if he is out of his mind. Yeah dean was really rude to cas in this scene but there was so much anger at him built up this entire season and dean’s not the most emotionally stable person either. He trusted cas when nobody else did before and when it turned out that cas had “betrayed” them by working with crowley, dean felt that the most. Dean’s constantly betrayed by the people he loves whether it be Sam, cas or Mary (and yes, he has done some pretty bad things but he’d never betray his family). Everyone mad at Dean for what he said needs to remember that he is right. Cas had good intentions but he caused catastrophic damage and he is running away. When Cas saved Dean from Hell, which he didn't do out of the goodness of his heart, he didn't give Dean any time to heal, he told him to get in line and start doing what he was told. Dean was suffering horrible trauma and was given no time to heal. Sam was crippled with trauma after Dean died, but he did everything to try to save him. He got manipulated by Ruby and thought he was saving the world but he released Lucifer, which Cas also helped in, and he didn't get to say well I ment well and I'm really traumatized, he was expected to fix it. Sam and Dean never signed up for any of this, they are pawns of Heaven and Hell, but they take responsibility and try to fix it, even when they are by far not the only ones at fault. Cas brought this on himself, yes he meant well, he thought he was doing the right thing, but the damage was still done, taking on Sam pain was the least he could do, now he has to work to fix the rest. It is not fair what is happening to any of them but Dean has every right to be upset, he is holding Cas to the same standards as he has been held to.
Dean was very harsh in this scene but i don't neccesarily think the things he was saying was wrong and you could make the argument "but dean has made plenty of mistakes he hasn't owned up to" that doesn't mean that castiel should do that too and i honestly think dean in this scene was cruel but he wasn't really wrong here but at the end of the day they're still friends they both were wrong and dean apologised later so i think it's all good now.
Dean was just saying it like it is. Wasn’t trying to be mean. Cas just needed a reality check. He more concerned about making sandwiches and party games than saving the world from what he brought in.
The only people who need reality checks are Dean and Sam.

There are so many people here hating Dean and I get it, he shouldn’t have been that harsh but whenever Castiel tries to help in the big picture without listening to Dean, he messes up big time. I’m not saying Dean is perfect but every time he tells Sam or Castiel or anyone that they shouldn’t do something and they do it anyways-things go from bad to worse. Dean say not to listen to Ruby, he told Sam not to trust Samuel, he told Castiel to stop and listen to him (begged him), he told Castiel to stop and listen to the warning of Naomi.... the list goes on. Again, not saying Dean is perfect but the boy is usually correct. So while I understand Castiel was going through a hard time here, he caused all this and sometimes tough love is what gets a person through.
