FOLEY's "1st appearance on Television" (1988 Grammys)

This would be FOLEY's 1st appearance of Many....
FOLEY would over the years perform on such a wide variety of TV shows
from the "Tonite show" to "Soul Train" to "MTV" to "Letterman" to "Arsenio" etc...
However, this performance meant much more to him....
MILES DAVIS was scheduled to perform & bowed out the day of the show....
FOLEY couldn't get his tailored new outfit from the mom & pop cleaners and MILES suggested that he grab something out of HIS closet.....So, FOLEY grabbed the very famous long blue coat that MILES wore in the SPIKE LEE directed "TUTU" video
FOLEY was a part of the "New York state of Mind" segment....
He would share the stage with :
GEORGE BENSON, RUBEN BLADES, CAB CALLOWAY, CELIA CRUZ, TITO PUENTE, RUN D.M.C., LOU REED, BILLY JOEL, MARCUS MILLER, DAVID SANBORN & MICHAEL BRECKER
