@@adrianpaulochoa9825 Yea mostly the comparators and pistons and stuff though. Redstone doesn't really run out all that fast after a few diamond mining sessions, but those two really suck to craft bulks of and you need them in everything :')

i already saw it on vodskall and it was kinda of hilarious, but also very strange lol. I do hope false sees the clip of him showing yoel the sign though, because iskall's realization that it wasn't from yoel was so funny. I genuinely thought he assumed it was from false the whole time and was just trolling.

@@fhtraveler Wait, I didn't even notice that. Sounds like he still had the skin that he used in MCC on May the 4th. Joel was Leia, Scar was Luke, Xisuma was C-3P0, and FireBreathMan was Chewie.
EDIT: It was hard to tell the intention of Joel's skin when he wasn't with the rest of the group though. It was just his normal head stuck on top so he didn't have Leia's iconic bun hair style, and a lot of people who saw him on his own thought it looked like he was wearing a wedding dress.

7:30 If you use hoppers to over-fill the book shelves, Hermits won't be able to read the book and put it back before the hopper fills the space. That's what is supposed to happen at Cleo's book store. But stock can run out, leaving empty spaces.
I know you probably already have a plan for the apartments. But a fun idea would be to pull a Mr. beast and tell them the longest one to fully live in the apartment gets to keep all the diamonds everyone paid

btw, that thing with joel.... you can NOT say you struggle with lore and roleplaying after that. you can say you don't enjoy it but it seems to me like yoi had fun too. congrats my man, you unlocked lore.
oh and the aplartment selling and the murder mistery... maybe you have been a theater kid all along
it all depends on how well their established characters match the role they take on. I've said this before, Iskall is great at this stuff when the role matches his personality and the story he wants to tell.
I don't think there are many scenarios where Iskall siding with the king in s9 would have worked out in a way that felt authentic. Maybe if Ren would have established a rule that banned all diorite or something, then we could have had iskall struggle to pick sides in a way that felt true to his character.
And the same is true for every other hermit. Grian is the resistance guy so much that he even had to subvert that expectation and still didnt side with the king. Not many hermits are fitted to even play the autoritarian roles. Also imagine Doc playing a role where he had to happily appear like just a lowly advisor, like Bdubs masterfully does. all about adapting the story in a way that makes room for his character and not telling him what to do.
There should be a mision that says "create a new mision and replace an existing mision with it" to keep it fresh for a long time
Maybe also specifying that they can't replace that one, just in case
Or just add a new one.
@@thomasfplm That might get to be a bit too many if it goes on for too long though. Maybe start with that, and then eventually, when there's enough/*almost* too many, then change that out with the swap existing missions book?
@@brookdevonshire319, an option would be to put the new mission in a separate chest, so Iskal can check to see if it is not repeated/too similar to an existing one and he can control the number of missions.
I'm quite sad that the previous way of getting a book is gone. It was amazing with the rotating light and the sounds.
I will miss that too.
He probably could still add a bit of pizazz to grabbing a book.

Hey Iskall. I think your idea to send the first cosmetic with the invitation to all the hermits is great! "The chosen one" is a good option, but you could also do "the quester" question mark one if you wanted to save "The chosen one" to keep it more special. then its like telling the hermits, there are available quests for you to complete
20:30 If you use a chiseled bookshelf as the place where hermits submit missions, only books can go in. Hoppers can also interact with chiseled bookshelves.
Instead of putting a barrel for book returns, you could've filtered it with another chiseled bookshelf, with a hopper underneath, assuring they can only input books in the return thingy

In case you did not remember or know, the chiseled bookshelves can filter books. This way you can have only mission books fed in the system and even have them return back in their place in the mission bookshelf with the others. I hope this helps!
That used to be the McDonald's corporate building before Mr. Iskallson found it and turned it into the mission possible corporate building.
We should make it canon that Mission Possible found the decrepit, rundown ruin of Pacific, which went bankrupt after no one shopped there and made into their headquarters

In order to ensure that only one mission is chosen at a time, the bookshelves could be hideen behind a wall that opens up to reveal the shelves and then close once a book is picked out.
This is a great idea!
BTW, to filter out the books, you can have them returned to a chiseled bookshelf and pull them out with a hopper, which will save you on the accidental random item drops that are certain to come
20:52 season 2 should be about Frogger and Frogger deaths. A car wheel, a truck tire, a log, the three frogs Etho put for mascots (main character being maybe free), a water or mud block, a fishing rod (Grian would want that), a GameCube controller or arcade joystick, and finally a stop light with no power.
A fishing rod with a mending book, like a carrot on a stick...
Really cool of Iskall to make it clear who he's talking about when referring to "professionals" in regards to redstone. Not because those folks need the actual visibility, but because it makes it clear he's talking up his friends, which is always nice. It's clear he respects his fellow Hermits quite a lot!
But also I really love Iskall's redstone as well, I keep coming back because I learn something new every once in a while, like the randomized prize circuit he made in this episode. I fully expected it to be difficult to do, but I had forgotten that dispensers can shoot out armor stands and put "pumpkins" on the head, even after seeing that, I expected the timing to be difficult to do, and Iskall immediately does it in quite a simple circuit that should have been obvious to me.
What I'm saying is that even if Iskall isn't efficient with digging out an area for redstone, his name definitely deserves to be put up there with the other "professionals" he listed.
This project is like the culmination of everything Iskall loves:
- Tall buildings
- RNG
- Challenges

For the armor stand, you could use the armor stand mod by putting a book in an item frame and powering it with redstone so that it set the armor stand to invincible, then undo it after it falls
Those cosmetics are AWESOME!! Some of my favorite that I’ve seen on Hermitcraft!
New mission #2 suggestion: You build floors inside the HQ Mission Possible building, but just the floors (where you step on, you know? You know) and give the mission to hermits to spend 30 minutes creating the inside (adding walls, stairs, interior decorating, etc) following the Mission Possible theme. Interiors are out of the confort zone of many Hermits so a quick build, adding to what others have done, seems like a fun little challenge. Imposing the theme removes the possibility of simply creating a troll diorite block and whatever your first-certainly-amazing base was.

being so honest right now im OBSESSED with the building style iskalls using this season!! I usually sit and get pretty repetitive with my build style, so its cool seeing the chaotic punk base iskalls doing this season with many different styles!!
i think the ultimate feedbacky thing you could add would be a bit of build-up music that ends as the item frame drops & fireworks go off, like what you had in the old build as it built up to giving the mission - just hit ALL those dopamine triggers

Love the new mission possible building, but if you have a 1:1 exchange from coin to hat, the coin step is kinda not necessary...
You could get allays to collect the books as I think they don't go by NBT data and also create a system to return completed missions into the cycle since hoppers can interact with chiselled bookshelves and with enough missions, it can shuffle the missions randomly.
The hat with the spinny thing should be worth two mission tokens

I've learnt every thing I know about Redstone thanks to this man. All the hilarious mistakes, all the epic fixes and the Omega Redstone accomplishment of working it out yourself. I love what you have built and I'm so excited to see the hermits play some more Mission possible. I have a suggestion I call it Stress Catastophy - take two cats to every hermit that is online and ask them if they would like a cat. If they say yes breed the cats you have and give them a baby. If they say no then you have to breed the cats and take the baby with you. Mission complete when you have seen all the hermits or you get to 20 cats.

You could test for books with a setup like:
2 hopper on top of each other
The upper one is facing towards a chieseled bookshelf
When something is in the upper hopper the lower hopper is paused momentarily
That way if the input is a book it'll be put in to the booshelf
And if not, it'll be transferred into the lower hopper and dispensed back with an accompanying piece of diorite as punishment.

An idea to consider for the inside of the Mission Possible room floor could look really cool like one of those clear gameboys with the wires and a green background, something like that.
I’m actually blown away with the office building’s texturing. It’s absolutely fantastic!! All the colours and the green really bring it to life, iskall has really came so far in such a short amount of time with how he has adapted to texture . Amazing work.

You could filter it through an bookshelf, Like using an hopper thats point towards an bookshelf and if it doesn't work an hopper grabs it underneath. Even though you can only filter for books. But any other items will refuse.

Hey iskall if you use an allay you can sort out books from other items as they only look for a written book i believe so that instead of any item can give you coins its only written books which is still an honor system but makes it harder to accidentally put something thats not suppose to go in there, This is for the returning the missions
I really feel like Iskall and so many Hermits this season are pushing theirselves in building. I love the texturing and BDubs style they are all doing. Motivating!
Pretty sure it was one diamond per a stack shown in box, not 64. So the stacks of 3 were 1 diamond each

I'd suggest the reward machine be completely randomized. And add a single special rare item into it almost like a gotcha machine.
Your buildings keep getting better, the creeper building is horrendous, but the oxidised is good, the apartments better and this and the stress ones are awesome

Iskall totally should "donate" the diorite from the horribly awful old mission station to Ren. Not to save the diorite, as Iskall will just buy the diorite back and burn it later. At least show the diorite the respect it deserves for building this magnificent replacement.

I love the building Iskall! The multiple gradients and patches of blocks work so well! I recommend using decorated pots instead of barrels for returning books or redeeming tokens though; the pots would force players to input things one at a time and also give great feedback without the need for a UI. Really though, love the building!

I think i would have put the billboard on top of the bulding. Maybe with some roof design and easter eggs. Because i think it looks a bit odd where it is right now? A billboard on top could look cool

Iskall you could do the bookshelves like False's Tea Shop!
There a dropper automatically refills the bookshelve, this makes sure hermits cannot put back the book, and on top you will only need a single bookshelve!

You could check if it is a book using a hopper which is trying to put it into a bookshelf.
Honestly, it looks nothing like a mcdonald's M, even after you pointed that out, I think you're fine.
I do still wish you added the extra pixel in the middle though, it just doesn't look the same without it.

You can still filter for books in the return barrel by using a bookshelf in the hopper system.
Build is sick iskall. Can’t wait to see everyone enjoy it. You need to add an M on 4 sides. Like a corporate building.
If you wanted to, you *could* filter for books at least for the quest return. Run a hopper into a chiseled bookcase and take a comparitor output from it with an observer looking at it to see if there is a change which you can use to dispense your token. From there you could pull the books back out and put them into some bulk storage if necessary, but if you do that you'd need to ensure that your top redstone only triggers on the first pulse.
Hey Iskall, Ximua is making trophies this season. Maybe if a hermit collects all hats in a round, they should get a trophy! You could also make a trophy for anyone who collects all hats in all rounds. ❤

I really love watching Iskall do redstone. The casual and sort of off-the-cuff way he does it somehow makes it feel more approachable. I am a little sad to say goodbye to that awesome mission assignment set-up with the lights and the noise from the original Mission Possible build, but the prize dispenser is awesome. For the display though, my symmetrical brain really wants the exclamation point and the question mark sort of as bookends on their shelves. But this is Chaos Punk after all.
