I've found that most of my phantom braking was FSD picking up on a vehicle somewhat moving into my lane and I not noticing it til later.
Just did a 40 mile trip south of here to another town. Drove FSD all the way there, onto & Off freeway and through town. My wife was with me and she frighten of FSD. This was the layest version 11.4.9. It was smooth all the way to entrance of the store I was heading for. Not one disengagement! Can't wait for version 12. This might make my wife more comfortable.
Oh, it was raining and snowing all the way and the windshield wipers worked fine. Take that Whole Earth catelog. It just doesn't like you!!😢
I drive a Hybrid at work. I'm in Iowa (chilly state) and they are the ABSOLUTE SLOWEST to warm up. On one below 0 F day, After driving for one hour, the heater was putting out mildly warm temperature. If anyone is thinking about wasting your money on a hybrid, don't!

I have experienced phantom braking and also dramatic over braking on standard auto pilot.
They should use RainX on the windshield and I wonder if they have wipers for the camera lenses?

@@michaelholmes8848 Optimus will indeed be a successful product in terms of TAM and acceptance.. But that doesn't mean it will move the stock. All the bulls were crowing that Cybertruck would make the stock explode. Hasn't happened. Semi has proven its tremendous potential in rigorous trial testing. But it hasn't moved the stock. Megapack production is rapidly accelerating, and this is obviously going to be a huge profit maker. But it hasn't moved the stock. Just step back a moment and objectively observe all the different balls Tesla has in the air, and how promising/profitable everyone acknowledges they are/will be.
Now explain how it is that none of them have moved the stock.

I need to take issue with your statement “In December of 2020 Tesla was trading at $230/share. Very similar to where we are right now.” If you’re just talking about numbers this is correct. However the valuation changed with the 3 for 1 stock split in 2022 making each share worth 1/3 or approximately $77.00/share. It’s a bit of a climb back up to $200 from $77.
The innovation shares gave more than that

V12 is better than V11 but still has major flaws. In the last three days my car tried to take a left turn on a red left arrow traffic light when the traffic light for through traffic turned green, tried to merge on a main road into an incoming car three times and missed highway exits for no obvious reasons on three occasions. Better and smoother yes, but not level 4 by any stretch of the imagination.
We won't see level 4 until after 2030, if then.
Hmmm. Why am I not surprised that a guy named AncientEgyptArchitecture is forecasting a much slower advance of this technology than I am? I believe that true FSD is about one year away.
@@eyesuckle I do think that it is close and agree that a year would be my guess. My point was to highlight that the videos we see are largely not addressing some of the remaining serious issues. It is pretty scary to have your car pull into traffic and believe that you will be hit if you do not intervene. Ditto for the car proceeding through a red traffic light.
I have my cybertruck reservation called up, and would sell it to someone else (a celebrity or something) who would like the currently available configuration.
if tesla goes to 300.... i will be able to get out of margin and pay off all my debt... a guy can dream.

No, the control systems for hydrogen cars still employ micro electronics/are EMP vulnerable. The only cars not affected would be ICE models produced before 1980.
What is a hydrogen fuel ev? Is it a hybrid of hydrogen and electric?

What are you talking about. I charge my Tesla at work as well as at home. I charge it when I go for my wkly shop at the mall and I can charge it at most campsites when I take my kids camping.

Personally I would have advised against it from the beginning. Almost anywhere in Europe would have been less headache. Still don't understand the reasoning behind it.
OH, but surely GM's Automatic Emergency Braking problem just requires an Over The Air (OTA) update; right? Oh know? So they'll have to sent snail-mail, pay postage, and then schedule appointments for 65,000 customers to come into their friendly neighborhood GM dealership. Oh no!!!

@@richf3654 It was installed from factory and I can either set it to automatically turn on, up to twice a day, for example at fixed times in the morning and in the afternoon or use a powerful long range remote control which uses radio waves. There is no mobile app or so, but bear in mind that my 6 cylinder BMW 5 series diesel was built in back 2007 and has driven 271000 miles by now, still on same engine, automatic gearbox, turbo, exhaust system (incl. particulate filter).
@@richf3654 Yes, it has a powerful radio wave remote transmitter that can be used from long distances. Also the car itself has a screen from where you can specify in advance when it should turn on, for example at a certain time in the morning and evening. It has no mobile app option (to my knowledge), but bear in mind the car is from 2007 and has driven 271.000 miles without replacing engine, automatic transmission, turbo or exhaust system.

$297 a share in 12 months? Is this the carrot in front of the donkey trick? Are you suggesting to invest in Tesla today at current stock price with the hope of seeing some appreciation by March of next year? If so, there is better stock to buy. Sorry! At that rate, I'm not sure Elon will ever see Tesla's trillion dollar valuation ever again.

Tesla has a much better chance of going to 97 and not 297. Whatever advances Tesla makes going forward will do nothing to raise the stock price and will just be dismissed by analysts as having already been " baked" into whatever the current price is. Although I am a shareholder, I just do not see Tesla ever getting above 250 again. Too much FUD, too much competition, and too much market manipulation.

I agree. The stock may creep up gradually over the next few years, but there will never be another 'to the moon ' spike event like we saw in 2021. Never. To any objective close observer it is obvious that the stock valuation has become completely disconnected from company fundamentals/execution over the past couple of years, for a multitude of reasons.
SpaceX, on the other hand....I am lying patiently in wait for the IPO.
