People, is there something you can do besides just waiting and preparing for your opportunity to vote?
It seems to me that the time has come to let yourselves be seen, felt, and heard, by way of massive peaceful protests.
I actually speak with some experience regarding peaceful protests.
The one which I was lucky enough to witness lasted 21 days.
And it was successful.
This happened in Bolivia in 2019 (I'm Norwegian myself, and I've lived here in Bolivia for most of my life).
It was the people, of all races and from all walks of life, who finally got fed up with the then president's various unlawful shenanigans to try to hold on to power.
The final straw was when he and his party committed the most grotesquely blatant fraud under the election of that year, when it had become clear that he was losing.
This nationwide peaceful protest, which included blockades/barricades where people took turns "standing on guard", and where someone always was tending to the "olla grande" (big pot) to help feed the people who were out in the streets making their presence felt, ended when the miserable president resigned, and fled the country.
Days of unrest followed, and the creep (I'm not exaggerating, he is as much of a creep as trump is) directed, from abroad, some of his followers to stop both food, medical help, and ambulances from entering certain cities.
This is not to say that there weren't, unfortunately, some ugly action from the side of the opposition as well.
But with the presence of some international instances and the Catholic church, representatives of both the party of the then ex-president and of the opposition (consisting of several parties) agreed to install as the new president the person who was in line after all the others who resigned following the resignation of the fraudster.
This person happened to be of the opposition.
I could go on and on, as so much (crazy stuff) has happened after this.
But suffice to say that under the next election, the people were, *VERY* sadly, dumb enough to vote in another idiot of the same party as the ex-president, who has ended up being even worse, both in regards of incompetence and in regards of being power-hungry.
And the following is another thing that I now am unlucky enough to have some experience with: authoritarian people avenging themselves on their opponents.
Much like trump is dreaming about.
The aforementioned legally installed president (a woman) who was visibly shocked to suddenly find herself in that position following the resignation and escape of the fraudster, is today one of the numerous people unlawfully and cruelly imprisoned by the current regime.
Take heed, folks.
Please, do all in your might to stop trump, and preferably the rest of the immensely unwholesome bunch, the GQP.
May trump and all his co-conspirators & enablers be held accountable and be made an example of.
And don't let yourselves be fooled by a "less extreme" looking individual of the same party.

Yes there is when it is about presidential immunity. You don't just get to sue or prosecute. First you have to justify you have a case to be heard at all.
Unless now anyone else can insist they’re running for neighborhood council or dog catcher and so therefore any charges are politically motivated. Right? We don’t have to answer subpoenas anymore. We don’t have to do anything but blast out to anyone who’ll listen the charges are fraudulent.

The SCOTUS will side with liberals in small cases so they don't look hyper-partisan(which they are) but the big cases(see Roe v. Wade) will go the other way. They would actually rule in favor of Trump here, but they know it would cause a Constitutional crisis.

I don’t get the complication on making it clear there’s no absolute immunity for the President? Consider this, the SCOTUS agrees with Trump, while Biden is still in office. The rule would apply to Biden now. He could, with immunity, get rid of Trump. But Trump has secret service to defend him, as well as Biden. So it, therefore, could create an internal war within our government. Am I misunderstanding something?

That is a good idea but we must make the House and Senate at least 2/3rds Democrats or the corrupt justices can never be thrown out even. Part of making the decision is writing a long, well-thought out opinion. It doesn’t happen while they are in court in session. It would be nice to hear the arguments and their questions.
More people should be outraged at the amount of corruption going on. This is plainly wrong and any decent human being should be fighting for Trump, who clearly broke the law, to be held accountable. There should not be a different standard of law for rich white men.

Watching along as a non US citizen and this is infuriating. Clarence Thomas needs to be impeached and his wife needs to be dragged through the legal coals.

I went into law in the first place as a refuge from emotional and narcissistic abuse. I served 26 years in legal aid, the last 2 years having damn-near killed me. I'm disabled with PTSD and persistent depression. Does the court system mean to tell me now that a criminal who threatens the safety and security of the entire country, including my own, has to be appeased and treated with kid gloves when NO OTHER CITIZEN would have been given the privilege?

Jurors are assessed for their ability to look past their biases. Why can't judges?
the politicians don't work for the people, and the courts the politicians control don't work for the people, or the courts who think the way the politicians do don't work for the people. The citizens can do nothing but vote malpols out of office, hence the refusal of republicans to abide by the rules of elections. This is why republicans want to do away with democracy.
The Supreme Court should have heard this quickly. There's absolutely no reason they can't hear this right now.
They should have thrown it out with the statement that the DC court's ruling stands and the stay on the trial is lifted.

But I’m writing 2 now: one to SCOTUS to tell them how disgraceful and immoral they are, and the other to President Biden to beg him to expand SCOTUS before we lose our freedoms. I don’t think I’ve ever been more angry other than when they overturned Roe v Wade. In theory that is exactly how it works. We haven't really faced this before. Nixon was the only opportunity but he resigned and was pardoned by Ford.
And Trump is a life-long expert at weaponizing Court procedure meant to protect the innocent as a way to delay and annoy until people drop cases against him. At this level though people have time and money and his options are running out rapidly right now. His attempt at an emergency stay on his fraud payment may fail or may only buy him a week until the full panel can decide against it. If it isn't stayed NY will begin liquidating his assets next week to cover the $400 million+ he is short after admitting he had nowhere near that much money.
He ran out of options in Carroll case as well. SCOTUS have ruled against him, including his appointees before. The voting fraud case for instance where they literally replied to a request for a hearing with the single word "No."
