  • The Metropolitan Police is to use facial recognition cameras operationally on the streets of London for the first time.
They'll be switched on within a month, in an effort to find specific people suspected of serious or violent crimes.
But privacy campaigners question the system's accuracy - and say the move is a "serious threat to civil liberties".

Its not to protect the vulnerable people or they wouldn't put us at risk in the first place. Similar to New York, London is a bank disguised as a city. Colouring it in probably wouldn't affect it

Which is great until the matching is inaccurate. That is _not to say_ that it is building a profile of people, or identifying everyone. It can only identify people that have been "scanned in" so this _should_ only people who have been flagged as criminals and their photo added to the database.

The RECORDINGS for faces are pixelated for lower level agents, but they're uncensored and available to view for anyone with the right access level.
The livestreams are NOT pixelated for anyone involved in monitoring.
    It's all disgusting.
