I like the waffle pattern Hirsch uses because of the breathability. My Hirsch Robby also has ventilation holes on top in addition to the waffle. Gotta let that skin breathe. I have Barton rubber straps that just sit flat on the skin and when I take the watch off at the end of the day, my skin looks like when you take off a band-aid. I winced a bit paying $125 USD for a strap. But the quality upgrade was clear once I wore it.
Cool! The rubber straps that sit flat would be difficult for hot weather but maybe you can reuse it for colder weather, hopefully it wont stick!

Congrats on winning the giveaway Eve! Interesting how they were able to get that effect of looking like sailcloth being leather and I don’t think I’d mind the markings on my skin bc so many of my watches do that already lol 😅 (I like them snug) Awesome video, enjoy the strap! 😎🍻👍
Oh yeah! I was looking as close as I could to see that it's not sailcloth. 😂 When I first got it, I didn't know it was leather until after I looked it up online. It was just so cool that they were able to make it look that way and making it waterproof too!

Its getting hot now and I wanted to switch from Jean's to shorts and sandals but my socks left a mark around my shins and calves🤣
I had a cheaper gray sailcloth strap which frayed so I bought a more expensive one in black. I was wearing it all day today on my Seiko sarb033 and yeah I need to break it in. That may take a while.
The waffle imprint stayed on for a few hours after wearing the strap all day, but it's not such a big issue if you'll be wearing a different watch to cover it later on. 😂
This is my first "sailcloth-style" strap but hopefully in the future I would come actoss one to compare!
@@AliasEveWatches My new one is all black like yours and is made by Artem. I entered a contest to win one from a watch channel. I put down that I wanted a 22mm strap if I won, then I bought a 20mm. I didnt win the strap so now I need a 22mm for my other watches.

Great review! So that’s really leather on top (and not entirely synthetic)? Since it’s been a year, how has it held up, and do you think it’ll hold up to days at the pool?
According to the product description, it's leather but it feels like rubber! 😁 I've only used it once in a bathtub and I haven't had the opportunity to go into a pool or at the beach so I can't say for sure if it will last days.
