Loved the first two episodes, but without Hawley writing, the show suffered immensely. I hope they have a longer production schedule for the second and can let him write the whole thing.
I haven’t seen legion but i don’t think that anything will ever top Daredevil, it’s next level show, even better than Fargo and fargo is fuckin’ awesome
I am already hyped for the second season of Legion. That's my first acquaintance with Noah and I am afraid will he be able to keep the second season on the same quality level? Cause he set the bar so high with 1 season. Non the less, this man is a genuis.
Yes there was a UFO in season 2 of Fargo, but it did NOT show up out of nowhere. It was there in the first episode and caused the main complication of the season. It was there in episode 2 watching as the body was being disposed of. Hanzee encountered the UFO (and experienced time loss) while investigating the crime scene. Two or three other references to UFOs are made throughout the series. After all of that, then yes, a UFO shows up during the the climatic gun fight.
I know...I just hate it when they say the UFO appears out of nowhere in episode 9. The UFO caused the whole problem in episode 1, they just weren't paying attention!
KYCCCGuy Agreed. Very shortsighted of Kimmel to think it was a random occurrence but I also believe jimmy is a big fan and he was just teasing Noah a little bit.. hoping he had a simple explanation...but Mr Hawley doesn't have time for that - he's got so much incredible content to create!
There was really no reason to why it showed up though, other than it caused an accident in the first episode. Just because that's what was hot at the time of the seventies doesn't mean you can just throw it into the show, for me, it completely took me out. If you're going to do something that fictional in a realistic universe, there has to be a purpose, or it's just pointless. Still love the season though.
Cinema Cola disagree. IMO it was brilliant and strangely original. Look up some yt videos that explain the UFO. There's interesting theories and explanations I believe will enlighten you.
Damn Jimmy dominated the conversation, maybe that's normal because I don't really watch the show but it felt like he was really enjoying the sound of himself talking.
I was a huge Fargo TV series skeptic and avoided watching it until I saw all the great reviews. Having watched the first two seasons, I'm convinced Hawley is some kind of storytelling genius and I'm going to watch every frigging show he writes. Also, his voice sounds like David Spade.
It's kinda how sad the audience is when they're talking about Fargo and Legion, like you have this feeling these people know nothing and don't care at all.
Legion is just ended, but but but, I’m looking forward to more of this man’s work!! And Legion will always be one of kind in this television industry. Bless him!
I just love when Jimmy is into what the interviewee is doing. It truly becomes a discussion and he shows so much enthousiasm and respect. The show sort of levels up and we can gets a glimps of just how much of a professional Jimmy is. Both entertaining and interested/ing. It doesn't happen often. Thumbs up to Noah Hawley too, obviously.
in 'Legion some of the dialog about mental illness is similar to how i feel about my own issues: psychiatrist - "dont you want your own kids and family? David - "but im sick "
My friend, Noah, thank you for making such a brilliant t show. You have pushed comic book TV to a new level. Everyone should try to make things as brilliantly as you have.
He is a GENIUS !! btw, UFO APPEARED IN SEASON 2 BECAUSE , IN TIME THAT ACTION TAKE PLACE , IN 79" PPL MANAGE TO SEE FLYING OBJECT AROUND MINNESOTA , HERE U ARE :))
The UFO's in Season 2 were partly a tribute to the ending of The Man Who Wasn't There (which starred Billy Bob Thornton), and partly a commentary on the precarious and surreal nature of that era in American history.
I've just read a book Saga by Tonino Benacquista and his approach to writing Fargo and Legion, not expecting them to become something popular and for this reason writing them the way he wanted reminded me of it. It's a great book about screenwriters, I highly recommend it to everyone.
This man is brilliant, like genius level present day Mozart brilliant! Can't wait to see more of your work Noah. And thanks #TeamKimmel for guesting him. It isn't often that show runners /writers / producers are given the spotlight they very much deserve (even more than actors tbh)
Season 2 of Fargo is probably the most consistent season of anything I've ever seen, there were like 6 episodes in a row that were straight A's. Even Mad Men and The Sopranos at their best didn't have runs like that, it's insane
Legion episode 7 was amazing, episode 6 was like the prologue for it and I didn't think it dragged at all. Sometimes you need to slow down before you ramp up for the grand finale.
After watching the Netflix adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender I think they should hire Noah Hawley for the live action adaptation of The Legend of Korra.
Legion is the best superhero television series, hell... one of the best shows on television in general right now.
Thank you Noah.
Jacko Easily the most stylish looking show since utopia. The cinematography is amazing.
Utopia is gorgeous!
Razeen Samsodien Yes, someone who appreciates that.
Agreed ! Finally a comic book tv show/movie done right !!!!!!!
fullstack2 But...Daredevil
Fargo and Legion are terrific.
Legion is the best comicbook TV show ever, last episode was amazing
Kai Acosta Legion is the best comicbook TV show ever, last episod- oh wait... Goddamn usernames
Loved the first two episodes, but without Hawley writing, the show suffered immensely. I hope they have a longer production schedule for the second and can let him write the whole thing.
Timothy Fasano funny the best Episodes were not even him in my opinion
I haven’t seen legion but i don’t think that anything will ever top Daredevil, it’s next level show, even better than Fargo and fargo is fuckin’ awesome
That silent movie section of episode 7 of Legion was inspired. Brilliant creative storytelling.
Richard Strong yes and the chalk board animation too.
Noah Hawley and Vince Gilligan: modern masters of television, for sure
CCScorseseVideos also Dan Harmon, community and Rick and Morty
Put Sam Esmail in it. And Charlie Broooker!
@@harbhajansinghania true
Agreed.
Fargo is criminally underrated. Even in this comment section.
Easily the best show I've ever watched. All 3 seasons are great.
I agree.
This goes quadruple for Legion.
@@harrykatsaros especially for a "Marvel" thing or show
@@juancpgo season 2 is the best out of all of them hands down
He should only be referred to as "The Masterful Noah Hawley". He's a genius.
...and you'd have to say the whole thing every time. "The Masterful Noah Hawley". -I like it.
Thank you for bringing the best television series for years with Legion. Can't wait for the finale and the 2nd Season
Alvino Novea Fandy Ehhh... Fargo and Game of thrones
Alvino Novea Fandy i dont hate legion but i dont get why its so popular because its quiet confusing and boring
SaturaPVP Not to be confusing but they pretty much explain everything. If you can't follow whats going in you aren't paying attention.
SaturaPVP probably because you're dumb
Connor McCartney tbh fargo yes. but got, no offense but nope
the silent movie sequence in the last episode was some of the best tv in decades, filled with gratitude we live in such awesome television times
To say this guy is a genius would be an understatement. Legion and Fargo have got to be in the top 10 shows in the world right now.
Watch the reason one. He's the absolute devil.
Thank You Noah Hawley for Legion. It's amazing!
Ramon Garza and for fuckin’ fargo!!
Legion is awesome. Can't wait for the Finale and Season 2.
So far, he's created two of my favorite shows. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next, both on the small and big screen.
This guy is brilliant and a workaholic. I've loved everything he's done
Such brilliant lines in Fargo that means a great writer 🙌🏼
Everything about Legion, the writing, acting, the cinematography, the set design, even the costumes.....just genius, pure genius
noah hawley one of my icons in life
Season 2 of FARGO was the best season of a show in decades!!
George Tarantino I think Legion season one can contest with that.
I liked season one more, season 2 was good too though.
Sam Dinardi agreed. Legion is otherworldly
George Tarantino I didnt get into season 2 as much. I think I missed Malvo.
George Tarantino definately agree !!
Legion is such a f*****g good show. (No flies on Fargo, either.)
flat out genius
Look at this Genius.
I have researched Coen Brothers from day one their brilliant.
I am already hyped for the second season of Legion. That's my first acquaintance with Noah and I am afraid will he be able to keep the second season on the same quality level? Cause he set the bar so high with 1 season.
Non the less, this man is a genuis.
Noah Hawley is the new David Lynch for me
Legion is outstanding. We have so much to thank Noah Hawley for, I can't wait to see what he does next.
Yes there was a UFO in season 2 of Fargo, but it did NOT show up out of nowhere. It was there in the first episode and caused the main complication of the season. Two or three other references to UFOs are made throughout the series. After all of that, then yes, a UFO shows up during the the climatic gun fight.
KYCCCGuy during the 1970's there stories of UFO sightings almost on a weekly basis.

Legion is the best show on TV right now, period.
Damn Jimmy dominated the conversation, maybe that's normal because I don't really watch the show but it felt like he was really enjoying the sound of himself talking.
Fargo is the ultimate TV masterpiece. Legion is like a trip fr
This man truly is a genius.
Noah is easily becoming one of my all time favorite writers and directors. This man is a genius.
Legion is just crazy, couldnt understand a lot of stuff but its just so intriguing.
I would love to have seen his Star Trek film.
Legion! Amazing
I was a huge Fargo TV series skeptic and avoided watching it until I saw all the great reviews. Having watched the first two seasons, I'm convinced Hawley is some kind of storytelling genius and I'm going to watch every frigging show he writes.
Also, his voice sounds like David Spade.
he needs to save the horror genre, that should be his life calling. legion is nightmare fuel.
Speaking as a writer... this guy's talent and pace is insane.
David Simon, David Chase and this man making projects, my heart can't take all that
It's kinda how sad the audience is when they're talking about Fargo and Legion, like you have this feeling these people know nothing and don't care at all.
or they're listening
Meh, doubtful. These late night audiences laugh and holler at everything they even mildly support.
Justin bieber fans
When I randomly started watching Fargo, I had no idea what a fargo was lol but I freaking fell in love with it!
Legion is just ended, but but but, I’m looking forward to more of this man’s work!! And Legion will always be one of kind in this television industry. Bless him!

This man is brilliant! Fargo is by far my favourite television of all time!
Andrew Hildebrand except for legion
Legion is amazing...and yes it wouldn't be the same without the music. Huge respect for you sir!
I met him literally 30 some years ago! So happy for his success!
Legion and Fargo are masterful period.
The guy is talented AF
please do all the shows
Hey Jimmy, Please bring this genius again.... Just love Noah Hawley's work
Jimmy's working so hard to try and make it entertaining. Let the guy talk!
Fargo is the best show period.
My friend, Noah, thank you for making such a brilliant t show. You have pushed comic book TV to a new level. Everyone should try to make things as brilliantly as you have.
this dude is a goddamn genius. tackle something for dc. they need it *cough* batman v superman *cough*
Legion has become my new fav tv show, can't wait for season two.
It's great to see a "writer" (he's done a ton more, I know) break out into the late night scene. I'm a new fan.
Great Interview by Jimmy and such a talented guy!
Legion is fantastic. Best thing ever to hit the screen with the Marvel name or comic book.
Best postmodern artist
Fargo S1> Legion S1> Fargo S2> Fargo S3> Legion S2
That's my order from Amazing(Fargo S1) to Good(Legion S2).
This dude is the most boring genius I've ever seen. As a fellow boring dude, I love him.
He is a GENIUS !! btw, UFO APPEARED IN SEASON 2 BECAUSE , IN TIME THAT ACTION TAKE PLACE , IN 79" PPL MANAGE TO SEE FLYING OBJECT AROUND MINNESOTA , HERE U ARE :))
That question at 1:02 was a brilliantly insightful question...Jimmy is an odd combo of cerebral and slapstick.
The UFO's in Season 2 were partly a tribute to the ending of The Man Who Wasn't There (which starred Billy Bob Thornton), and partly a commentary on the precarious and surreal nature of that era in American history.
He's amazing! I love Legion! Keep up the good work Noah!
He's such a good interviewer. He compared Noah Hawley to Jay-Z and Dr Dre.
Hair discovered legion last week 😩 it’s soo good
I've just read a book Saga by Tonino Benacquista and his approach to writing Fargo and Legion, not expecting them to become something popular and for this reason writing them the way he wanted reminded me of it. It's a great book about screenwriters, I highly recommend it to everyone.

the ufo in season three is the black lodge bowling hall
Season 2 of Fargo is probably the most consistent season of anything I've ever seen, there were like 6 episodes in a row that were straight A's. Even Mad Men and The Sopranos at their best didn't have runs like that, it's insane
I love Noah.
He is great creater.
😍😍😍😍 Best show ever !!!
Damn the UFOs! How did Lorne Malvo get out of that basement? Noah Hawley is the Best! I'm watching any show he creates or is a part of.
Second Fargo season was teh best stuff ever on TV
This man is brilliant
this man is awesome.
I like his voice.
Have not seen Legion, but Fargo is an AMAZING TV series
leonthesleepy Legion dragged a lot in episode 6, Fargo came stronger in season 2, season 3 trailer has not bought me though.
Legion episode 7 was amazing, episode 6 was like the prologue for it and I didn't think it dragged at all. Sometimes you need to slow down before you ramp up for the grand finale.
leonthesleepy legion makes fargo blush. its that good....
Genius for sure
Interested what he’s doing with the Alien franchise.
Fnk love this guy.
I was an atheist until discovering the almighty Hawley
Noah4President !
After watching the Netflix adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender I think they should hire Noah Hawley for the live action adaptation of The Legend of Korra.
This genius created Lorne Malvo, and Mr. Wrench and Mr. Numbers.
Don't tell me what I can't do.
Bowling alley in season 3 was a spaceship? Hmmm..
"sometimes another finger will get involved" - Noah Hawley
I bet his wife loves him....
Hawley V Gilligan: Dawn of Superb TV
Prolific though Noah is, he just didn't have the time to squeeze in Star Trek Discovery and Picard as a simpler way to break into Sci-Fi :-)
Wearing different brains... thats a lot more painful than wearing different hats.
does he really only type with two fingers?
He kinda looks like Matt Damon
Anyone else thought he looked like Jesse Pinkman?
Probably should of not bowed to the money,
At 3:05 wtf is JImmy saying haha. Noah must be like this guy is a dumb
LAST!!!!
Does he agree to be compared with Dr Dre. 2:25
I look at it at that way....2:55
