@@tomhiggins5841 100% ....always opinion. I test the SIM2 and the TSi pounded it. So you're 100% correct..... to each his own but as far as Titleist drivers are concerned. This is a monster!
I found the cobra rad speed was the best when I tested drivers. But then the wife surprised me with the sim 2. So I play a sim2. different strokes for different folks.
Love the fitting setup. Very clean 👌 TSi3 has the better sound and it goes long and straight. I am all for Titleist but would be happy with the SIM2 if it landed in my bag
The Titleist reminds me of a classic car that looks even better as it ages, whereas the TM reminds me of a pimped-up BMW that looks flashy when it's first released but after a few months it just looks naff! PS never thought that I would say this to a Bloke, but thanks for showing us what's in your draws👍🤦♂️
They are pretty equal in performance Mike, but like you I would pick the TSi - for 2 reasons.... 1: prefer the classic understated look 2: it has adjustable weighting, where SIM2 doesn’t
Loved the start of the video giving us a glimpse of your club fitting cupboards, something I’ve never really seen before, would love to see more, and how it works etc. Also the new range view and strike location is next level, good decision.
Mike i honestly don't think there are any bad drivers this year and it has been the most exciting year for new driver releases ever in my eyes. The tsi3 found it's way into my bag last year and in my opinion i honestly don't think drivers can get any better than tsi3. Looks, sound and dispersion are as close to perfection as a driver can get for me and I'm not a Titleist fan boy before comments start this is my 1st ever Titleist club in 30 yrs of golfing
@@ginge5168 I've moved on in September to the sim 2 max i just couldn't get over the glare in sunlight and to be honest tsi3 just wasn't forgiving enough for me.
I tested Taylormade, Callaway and Titleist today with a certified fitter. Tried a bunch of different heads and shafts and the TSI3 was an easier winner. Completely blew away the other two.
Hi Mike, great review.....but could you please explain something. How does Trackman measure impact location? With Foresight's systems you have the dots and ultra high speed cameras, therefore it can "see" what is happening at impact. Yet Trackman is a doppler based system and located a few feet behind the club head, measuring "open data", as the ball flies through the air. Ever carried out a head-to-head comparison of the two systems? Would love to see what differences there would be..... just a thought
I’m in my 50s, so remember titleist being great... looks like they are back. I wish the did the sock head over with the blk whte n red stripes. Mainly cos it protects the shaft a bit. Can’t wait to get n try them. I see they are doing shaft upgrades also. Might be a good video?
Can’t wait until my TSI3 gets here Monday 🙌🏾 . The only variable is the shaft, I just went with the 6.0 60 RDX Black because I use the 6.0 70 in my TSI2 3WD. Really interested in seeing how it feels, I’ve been looking at the RDX Blue. Would you say the Blue loads a little more than the Black? I like having a little extra load in my driver. I know the black will work but think the Blue would be awesome if it has that little extra Load/Kick. Couldn’t order it stock so would have to order that shaft OEM
No bad drivers in this years line up across the board (Srixon, TM, Titlest, Cobra, Ping, Callaway etc) .....Blind test all of them and I suspect there would be nothing in it data wise - I suspect looks and brand loyalty will be the deciding factor for most people
@@MichaelNewtonGolf Thank you, good to know! I recently was watching "Golf my Way" with Jack Nicklaus and he advocated the same thing so I was curious to try it. I was always taught to keep my feet planted but I will try it out.
I have both and i’ve been testing them back and forth at the range and it looks like the SIM2 is making the bag. The TSI3 is not as attractive at address and the feeling off the face is smoother off the SIM2. Distance is pretty similar, really comes down to a feel thing. I do like that I can make the TSI3 more draw bias but the SIM2 has been really allowing a nice little power fade. I can’t seem to draw the SIM2 but that is totally fine, if I need to hit a draw I’ll just hit 3-wood
After 3 months off I'm not sure if I will be able tell the difference between a garden shovel and any of the 2021 drivers. No doubt keep trying though. ⛳🏌️♂️
Plenty of discussion about that. I personally feel like it was a strategic mistake. Callaway did the same thing last year and quickly realized it was giving an advantage to competitors. TM will bring it back next year for Sim3 almost guaranteed. Fitters prefer the adjustability as it provides more options. If you take that away from their toolbox, they're going to go with the competition.
I got a question. I use the new SIM2 with a HZRDUS Smoke Black 80g S-Flex shaft. I hit a 275y carry, little fade but in the middle of the fairway. My question is : if I want to change my shaft to a X-Flex or TX-Flex, will I use a 80g or I need to low to a 70g? I talk about distance and control. Thank.
Still curious about your video of the Big Bertha B21. I’ve been watching your other comparisons and that driver still has the best numbers. I think you need to bring it back. Not giving it the respect it may deserve because you label it as “draw biased” and that won’t work for you. It sure did in that video. Better than any other that I’ve watched. Thoughts?
Lol those numbers are inaccurate, my clubhead speed is about 119 and my ball speed is around 175 and I carry the ball about 290-300. How are you getting 9 mph less ball speed and carrying it the same as me? Could be my driver is 7 years old but idk
Like both clubs but lean towards the tsi3 for looks and feel. Would be interesting to see the performance of the tsi4 with your swing speeds michael, too much of a low spin beast for me
you were laughing the TM to high with more spin. Be nice to see total yardage. You should fit yourself better for clubs. Hitting them not set up properly really does do the review any justice. Not bashing. Just trying to help.
Why though? With a lunch monitor carry is what’s important. The number for total is just computer generated and isn’t going to reflect the real world at all.
Nothing compares to the TSi line this year.... from TSi1 to TSi4 they are the best drivers on the market...thanks for reinforcing this today Mike
Your opinion mate I tested tsi and the sim2 and the taylormade completely destroyed it

Titleist edges it for me, purely down to the moveable weight and far superior hosel adapter.
Great review as always, and definitely agree with your other subscribers much much better with the range view

WOW- couldn't hit "play" fast enough! Thanks Michael. 169.2 ball speed. WHAT?!?!?! TSi3.
Can you do the g425 vs the TSI3 next?
What is the driver shaft length you played in the Tsi3?
45.5 in both
Tsi3 best on the market
Does anyone know what program he's using to see where he's hitting the ball and the numbers and everything?
TrackMan4
Did you recently start lifting your left heel on your back swing? If so, may I ask why? I never noticed that before. Thanks!
I was losing speed so just increasing my turn through the backswing, it’s given me 3/4mph extra
