Small tip: don’t buy at the pharmacy in person, order the things you want to buy at an online pharmacy, it is much much cheaper! German pharmacies are known to increase the price of products by a LOT. Douglas has a collaboration with an online pharmacy, and there are others as well. I never buy La Roche Posay or Avene products in person because it is soooo expensive

douglas and notino are really good and maybe cheaper than others
there are only a few pharmacies that have actual decent prices and even student discount. But usually better go for the online ones :) also, for drugstore skincare you should check out the balea line or no skincare or isana from rossmann!
Avene is a good choice though. That's the best you can get other than imported skincare or stuff from Douglas.
don't do this, because pharmacies will run out of business. you never know when you'll need medication right away and can't wait until your online order arrives.
As for skincare, Müller carries the most well known pharmacy skincare brands.

If you want to try Käse Spätzle, it's really easy to make. You basically only need the Spätzle (like the ones you used for basil Spätzle), cheese , cream and maybe some onion and herbs or spices. It's super quick and delicious!

Hi, I don't know if you have figured out what the flowers meant on the memorial for the victims of the NS-Regime. The night of November 9th to 10th in 1938, a lot of crimes happened against German Jews, their Synagogues, businesses, homes etc. were violently attacked and destroyed. Many lost their lives or were deported to concentration camps the following days. Nowadays, every year on Nov the 9th, people are remembering the victims. Flowers are put down and candles are lit at memorials. You might've also come across "Stolpersteine" being polished and having candles lit. "Stolpersteine" are little plagues usually put down in the pathway in front of the late homes of the very Jews that lived there. The plagues hold general information of the victims like their names, date of birth and what happened to them. Whenever you come across one, you are able to take a moment out of your daily life in remembrance of the lives lost.

Quick Tipp: Next time you're at the Drugstore look out for "Blasenpflaster" (Blisterplasters).

The issue with the cake pan was that you have a Springform, that means it is 2 pieces where you clip them together, it's more for mix to make cake, so not that runny, if that makes sense. If you want to bake stuff in this shape than you need a form that is made of just 1 piece of metal or a silicon one.

That dude on the sticker is a football player called Lukas Sinkiewicz. Flammkuchen is a dish from the Alsace region, which is now part of France. Go to Strassbourg, you won't regret it.
The German version is called Dinne/Dünne/Dinnete/many more names and uses a different dough. It's commonly sold at village fairs.
If you want to go back to the black forest, I recommend taking a walk to the Feldsee and to the tip of the Feldberg, you can take a bus from Titisee Station to get there.

QuickTime on your German ordering Skills: Ich hätte gerne … comes with Akkusativ. So it is followed by „einen Kaffee“, not „der Kaffee/ein Kaffee“. In this case it more natural to use the undefinierte article „einen“ as it is a very regular dish and you don‘t want any specific coffee like the one from your neighbour‘s table but just A(!) coffee.
And as much as I would love that you will come to find that in Germany most cafes do not have iced coffee drinks….bummer

I have a similar little wooden tree I got at Daiso. I love it too.
And you might need some comfy hiking boots for explorations. Personally, I use tactical boots. The Black Forest looked beautiful 😍 the way all the trees tower so high and you're in this path through it, enveloped in the forest. I love forest environments.
If you liked the spätzle because they were quick to make, you should also try Tortellini. The ones from Rewe can even be cooked in a microwave with some water! It tastes really nice with Pesto^^

I don't know what you are looking for in skincare products but personally I can recommend the brand Nø Cosmetics! They are vegan and they support environmental projects. They are not cheap but still affordable in my opinion because their products really saved my dry skin this winter. You can find their products at d&m and Rossmann. I would be careful with their products that containt actives such like AHA or BHA because for my skin it's already too harsh. But for hydration this brand is a must try!!
A little tip for your baking form issue - I always put some Backpapier in there. Between the plate and the form, so its held by the form. Maybe it will help you with your problem :) manche Backformen sind leider undicht und halten nicht so gut.

When you have sensitive skin, I can recommend the Balea sensitive skin creme to you! Balea in general is a great deal, really cheap and some of their products are amazing! other than that, no cosmetics (the no is written with a slash, but Idk how to type it haha) is my absolute fave. on the pricier side but my skin has never been better!

You can also find Avéne at Müller drugstore. This is much cheaper than in the pharmacy. If you are looking for cosmetics without artificial additives, I can highly recommend Sante. This is natural cosmetics. There are at DM and Müller to buy.

If you’re looking for skincare that suits sensitive skin I would recommend alverde, it’s plant based or balea MED, those are really good and not that pricey!! Also the garnier aloe Vera water balm is really good

Please try fried or baked SCHUPFNUDELN with SAUERKRAUT and SPECK - that's the most delicious German food of all IMO. Maultaschen are a little like dumplings, but larger and VERY BLAND. Spätzle you have already discovered ^^. Flammkuchen is like Pizza, but no tomato and no regular pizza cheese and its also more French/Belgian imo. I love your Christmas decorations purchase ❤️

- NØ 120h liquid hydrator
- Balea MED ultra sensitive reinigungsschaum (foam cleanser)

- Balea Vaseline (for slugging aka keeping my skin moisturized at night)
- nivea pflügendes Reinigungsöl, trockene und sensible Haut (oil cleanser)
for the rest of my body i use:
- mixa panthenol comfort (body lotion)
- Balea beauty expert peeling bodylotion
there is also an online store with great products that delivers really fast "colibri" (but it's a little more pricey)

I don’t know why but it’s so interesting seeing someone cut food with a scissor cuz I think that might be another cultural difference. At least for me I’ve never seen it done in Germany
