I know you do a lot of these style videos and I think they're all really good. I think this one is exceptional. Really made me think about how to better incorporate some of these positions in my game. Thanks so much for all your hard work and great content!
Excellent, I appreciate the detailed information on this position. It is one of my favorites but sometimes I I struggle with finishing. Looking forward to drilling some of these moves. Thank again!
So many options, I really really like omoplatas. Gonna blend them into everything, like chia seeds. Need to work on my recognition and posture control. Very good.
I do bjj , so I watch u videos everyday And I used to try everything, and I m only white belt with one strap. I use to beat blue belts and white belts with more straps than me when I m sparing in training. I always put it in practice to see if works . What I like the most is your leg locks , because I m white belt i didn't learn about leg locks for now but I m already winning the belts over mine with leg locks as well 😁👌🏿👌🏿, keep doing it
I have a recommendation. I seen this interesting omoplata way in a book. It looks like you would do a balloon sweep but instead you pop your hips up and than pick a side to begin omoplata in mid air. You do knock down your opponent. If you understand this could you do a video on it???
Why don't we see more omoplatas in jiujitsu competitions and mma? What's your opinion, is it the lack of control when applying or the difficulty compared to other submissions? Or is there something else
I think there are several reasons for the low rate of finishes, but they are still used quite a bit in transitions in competition and MMA. It is difficult to prevent the roll, and I think for that reason people either avoid trying them or they bail on them rather than control the roll or escape and transition to something else. It can still be super useful though in all areas.
It's great video for new submissions for me, thank you for new important information) Can you make a video about passes of butterfly guard? I think it will be something new and neccessary for game in BJJ
The knee bar is definitely there. The toe hold requires the leg to stay bent. If they force it straight to counter the toe hold, the knee bar becomes available
Eli, why are you so generous in knowledge sharing while some schools guard their knowledge? Is it a lack of how to use YT or because there is something special that they want to guard?
@@KnightJiuJitsu keep on keeping on. I love the videos. I have your techniques in one play list and always refer to them, like now after I got smashed, and your philosophicals in another. Great topics!

Eli - when you deal with the roll and go to toe hold. Would it be easy to go to knee bar or is toe hold a more streamlined transition in your opinion?
The knee bar is definitely there. The toe hold requires the leg to stay bent. If they force it straight to counter the toe hold, the knee bar becomes available
how can you omaplata to kneebar?
Same entry as the toehold option is show in this video 👍
한글 자막 좀 만들어주세요 ㅠㅠ
Korean please..
👍🖒👌🖒

It takes a lot of work to put this much content out. And to explain stuff decently. I think that’s why more people don’t.
