This is great Ethan! Just came across your channel here randomly (great thumbnail!) I've been interested in super 8 & 16mm recently, does the developing & processing cost deter you from shooting with it often? And also do you include those costs when working with brands :O
hey man sorry for the delay. the answer is yes & no. Most of the work I do on 16mm is for brands. So they're paying for me to shoot. I dont do a ton of personal projects on 16mm cause of the price haha
I bought a Super 16 EL Bolex direct from Bolex Switzerland in 2003. I’m in the mood to shoot film. Just need to rig a new battery system. I’m based in Melbourne Australia.
Beautiful footage! The H16EL looks amazing. It looks like your footage is kept in a log-like flat color profile, is there a reason for this? Do your clients want to keep the footage flat? Oh, and: 1:47 Not all Wes Anderson films are 35mm. “Moonrise Kingdom” was shot on 16mm. As well as the short film version of “Bottle Rocket”. The new film “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar” is shot on 16mm as well.
Great video Ethan, all of the footage looks beautiful too
thanks man!
