How was playing the Season 6 Expansion Test so far? OG Video by @PerGamingGames : ruclips.net/video/u8ipTeLVLeU/видео.html All my Builds for Season 6 (I always try to keep it up to date): d4builds.gg/rob2628/builds/?season=6
The only way for a player on console to see what buffs are active is to open the character menu and click L3 and then see what buffs/debuffs you have. Those little icons mean nothing to us unless we memorize the icons. We have no way to hover over them to see what they are.
I remember after playing ptr for season 5, I was like this season is going to suck. Then, it was really amazing. The goblin event really set things off where we got so many mat drops. It was my best season so far with mythics. I think season 6 is going to be a little confusing at first but hopefully as fun as season 5, if not better.
I played barb in Diablo 3 last week. It was fun to play whirlwind without dust devils. It was fun to do damage with my weapons. The paragon changes are bad. As soon as you have shako and Tyraels might you're armor and resistance capped and doesn't need any armor or resistance from the paragon board. The legendary effect on glyphs is to powerful and the should have made new paragon boards and more glyphs instead. I found 1 ancestral item after hours in torment 4. That felt really bad. And the item drops in the other difficulties was shit. They spent alot of time on changes we didn't need instead of giving us what we want, lootfiler, armory, some SSF mode or no trade and trade mode, ingame trading, more paragon boards. And better class and skill balance. We got some new glyphs that I couldn't use because I could only use 5 glyphs. And most builds have 5 glyphs they have to use. Make pure whirlwind great again.
The problems with balance in this game are ALL due to the fact that the Devs do NOT play endgame. If they did, they would see the problems with the endgame. I would love to see on of the Devs do a T8 or a Pit 100+ with a Barbarian or any class without using a META build.
The issue is that they're afraid to nerf right now. They're also taking a D3 approach and only working on 1 or 2 classes or builds per season. This is also to keep people coming back season after season to try the new thing
Something like runeword: after getting x offering; the barbarians war cry causes a hail of meteors or lightning storm to fall for 3 seconds and deals x damage. Rather that than, you get x more damage
Make current regular legendaries into blue in color (with autosalvage on pet at some point). Make current legendaries with 1-2GA yellow in color. Make legendaries with 3+GA orange, so the the word LEGENDARY fulfills its meaning. Remove current salvage materials levels for blue, yellow and legendary, and make them into one item. Whites, blues and yellows have absolutely no use if we speedlevel as we do now. They had some merit in D2 due to upscaling by difficulty / runewording. Now they have zero significance and use.
D4 is garbage game for garbage players. A game made solely for casual gamerdads and playstation kids. An embarrasment to the Diablo franchise and everything it stands for. The loot inflations has gone so far that even blue items in D2 generate more excitement than legendaries in D4. Not to mention the constant monster-scaling, making sure that no matter who you are or where you are in the game, it doesn't even matter the slightest. Level 1 or level 100? Same fucking garbage thrash mobs right on your level providing the same challenge. And runewords? I won't even comment on that. It's a mockery to even call it runewords, that's all. Goddamn you blizzard for becoming a pile of garbage company, whose only success is to break the dreams of hopeful gamers and generate $$$-profits for your shareholders. Idk why Rob cant admit how bad the ancestral update is. If you cant get decent gear till you grind Torment 4 for 4 hours then people will quit. Its that simple. Regular legendaries suck now. If you cant masterwork past 4 or temper more than 1 youre gear just isnt good. Yeah you can make it to torment 4 but it doesnt feel like your gear is exciting anymore and thats like the biggest part of an ARPG imo
i think it worst to have a barely min-maxed gear at level 80 and just play to imposible upgrade now u have a goal and a clear one, then u farm thats the point of the game
@@MrDeltadragonalf did you play the PTR? I had all my gear and my char fully maxed out. Yet I had no incentive to grind for better gear because it was so taxing. I never find that fun. I’ve played more since season 4 started than probably 80% of people and still haven’t found my “perfect gear”. The gear grind is already there, like I haven’t farmed a single amazing Fractured Winterglass in 2 seasons and close to 500+ Torm Zir runs. Rob plays so much more than anybody so he finds his perfect gear. Plus resources aren’t an issue, he isn’t gated by boss mats or anything like that. There are levels to all of this. But ancestral drop rates are so bad it destroys the joy of the grind, especially when you brick your item and then have to grind to re-temper it and the brick it again. This process will destroy all fun
This power creep couldve been solved early on by making it so yellow items could get a 3rd affix on imprinting. They could also allow for a way to convert affixes to GA affixes. Just as well, make it so blue items can be turned into yellow items. Boom, no more power creep via tiers of items per season

To be fair, i had 95% of my end game gear in a bit over a week in S5, then the rest has been a slog attempting to get a single upgrade in the next 4 weeks.. Kinda feels bad tbh
The reason Season 6 is SH%#, is that Blizzard is too lazy to implement a loot filter, so they try to change the items over and over again as a make-shift poor man's loot filter.
Not being able to temper is really pissing me off. I actually leveled all the classes this season. I have never before because the tempers made it worthwhile, and I could do it so quickly. Just when I think the devs get it, they don't. They never cease to prove me wrong. Never again will I stick up for d4.
they should drop the character specific boards and just make all boards available for everyone and have unique items provide effects from other classes
the paragon tree squares only show the node u haven't spect in for the glyph if u spend all points they are gone the squares its just helps u say in glyph zone what does has the stat that u need for your glyph to increase its power its fine as hell helps out new ppl
on the eternal realm complaint: you keep all transcendent sparks right? Sure its sucks to scrap but even with slightly weaker stats, farm up new ones, if garbo or not for build: scrap, then make a new one. At the end of the day sure it sucks but I thought the whole endgame is to farm and if you are permanently maxed whats the real loss?
its good change that u dont just reach all skillpoints and paragon points in 1 day honestly i always got bored after i got lvl 100 just huntong for that 1% better gear
if they can't update old mythic equipment in new update, they should give us material when salvaging to craft new mythics and problem with obsolete gear would be resolved
They should've kept the paragon nodes RED instead of white when adding new points to the boards. Also the glyph sockets in PTR were hard to see compared to live, especially when in preview mode.
As a developer I can say that it is not that hard to update all items with new stats one query with for loop maybe so it doesn’t crush, and a little bit of time
I just want a quest tracker. I have given up trying to do all the side quests because I have no idea which ones I have completed and ones I have not. I have been playing since day 1 and have never completed them all.
You crying about core skills on barb, I'd say core skills on all the classes are junk. from my perspective during the early seasons each class had core skills over performing 1 shotting lilith and wrecking t100 nmd. now the games difficulty has risen much much higher than s0-3 but all those big nerfs persisted. so many classes have core skills that just flat out dont have any power or aspects to support them
they should make legacy ubers give you a resplendent spark so you can replace the old one with the new one on eternal realm that would fix there problem.
I was enjoying the game just fine how it was but agree with everything here. All they needed to do for me, was improve the inventory system, remove grey, blue and yellow as you progress the tiers, make mats more available to summon and MW to 12 and make sparks carry over!!!
I don't know why they don't let console/controller players use the right stick to select through the loot on the ground. PoE does it, on top of a loot filter, and it works out great.
pit 200 for the casual gamer should be done out of season, they have all the time in the world right. If you want to push season you have to put the effort in, wont be for all but i am a sad dad gamer with limited time and was able to complete the season objectives still. i think also eternal realm can have trading but not seasonal, i would prefer no trading in seasonal, its meant to be hard.
I think the power gap is fine. Ancestrals just need to be more frequent. Even in the live game, legendaries are like rares bc you need 1 or higher ga depending on the available affixes on that gear piece.
I agree with this, they just need to up their drop rate a good bit. The real grind should be farming for triple/quad GA's with the stats you want. Just 1 stat GA'd ancestral's shouldn't take hours to farm for one drop with at least one decent stat lol.
I thought Barbs were crying over the fact that they went from clearing everything in 2 seconds to now clearing everything in 5 seconds but I got around to making a Barb this season and I owe y'all an apology. Most miserable leveling experience of my life. I'm at 90 rn and it just feels so weak. I gave this man my Tyrael's Might, Shako, and Starless Skies but it still feels leagues below my other builds. I never wanted a Barb nerf, I was just salty at the fact that they were so much further than every other class. I wanted the other classes to be on the same level as Barbs so we could all be busted but in different ways.
Is this a copypasta? I could have sworn I've read this in another video. I have rolled barb every season (except 3 because I chose not to play). I can tell you from my experience that the thing that bugs me the most is that for S5, if you wanted to keep up with farming hordes, you were pigeonholed into WWDD build--which was just alright. The ramaladni bug is also hella annoying and still wasn't addressed in the S6 PTR or mid patch. For S6, I thought weapon throw was strong at first and maybe barb now gets another good farming build, but then I tried the Rogue WW and holy shit, she just dumpstered my barb. For me S4 was great for barb because of how viable most builds were. You had so many options and I prefer to keep it that way even if they toned the damage down slightly. Oh for PTR, I leveled barb as leapquake and it's been one of the smoothest leveling experiences I've ever had. I was afk farming helltides, and had crazy mobility regardless of terrain. Not sure how it would translate to live because you have no Ubers and aspects but could prob make it work.
Many of the mentioned issues are why we have a PTR in first place. I am also pretty confident that 90% of the issue will be adjusted & that Season 6 will be a ton of fun!
They should remove tempers, idc about "scroll of retemper", if i still roll 6x the same sh*t i don't need and brake the item. It's like "hey, now you can brake your item 2x" instead of fixing it. What could be the solution (for me) is, let itens have base stats like was before (crit ch, crit dmg, cdr, atk speed, area dmg), and this new (chance to cast 2x, size of skill) afix to paragon with a lot more options.
I know it was a PTR and the s5 and s4 PTR was way worse than what we actually got in s4 and s5 which was good and fun. My big gribe with the itemization is not the actual items its that so much power is now on the paragon that items are a secondary thought. kind of like in s2 and s3 where items only provided like 20% of your power
Rob, if you put in more amount of time would you be able to beat Franz Beckenbauer? The question is, should the game be only played by 1% of the players? Aka youtubers with 24/7 hrs played? If the answer is yes then they should be the only ones achieving the hardest game difficulty. Expect to have around 3000 active players. On the other hand. Does time always define quality? Your average time played gamer should be able to play all content within the season time frame on one character. That's called player retention. Active players expected around 3 mil.
I feel it will be very limiting on how I like to play. I like to challenge myself with different builds and play for most of the season. This looks like it will push me into a narrow play style and control my progress. Not happy.
Honestly disagree that hardcore gamers should be the only ones to get the endgame. Those hardcore gamers are there in the first week. Within one season a casual player should still be able to reach endgame areas
Just make it to where you can fully mw regular legendarys and put 2 tempers on when it’s 700+ item power or something there’s zero logical reason for the mw and temper caps on regular legendarys cuz no matter what even if you can fully mw and temper them ancestrals are still better no reason at all for the caps
Where they went wrong is generic legendary items instead off legendaries being real legendaries like it was in D1 D2 D3 and now we have enchants on items...
Wait we never could temper items below ancestral more than once and before S6 we couldnt masterwork them while we can in S6. The big Problem is the crazy low drop rates for ancestral. How many of them did you find with GAs that still didn't had any useful affixes. Now guess what, the drop rates make this even way worse. Next Campfire will be an interesting one with all these PTR painpoints.
I wouldn’t trade other players had my dad get perma ban by automated system for trading me enough to roll a few affixes in season 1 I think but I didn’t know you had to also trade an item to avoid detection maybe but then also had a friend get banned during the mothers chosen or whatever week where you earn more gold and exp ; he got banned for earning too much gold and not spending any of it had like half a billion to a billion I think I can’t remember
I'm just finishing my D3 S32 SSF Casual farming process, to do the final push my fav build on like the the last day of season. You, Wudijo, Raxx, Baskenator, etc can achieve my final result after 3-7 days. I, as a casual, (1-2 h per day on avg) need the whole season (like 3 monte) to achieve the same result. (GR150, with my non OP fav build). That's the way D4 also needs to be! (Pit 200) => I play D3 instead of D4 because of that, so the easier the game, I play it longer! (why no arcade mode for me and a pro mode for streamers/no lifers?)
The biggest issue w tempers Let’s say your after movement speed and you have 1-4 chance to roll it. Meaning the other 3 options besides movement speed are dog shit. As of now you can literally never get it to roll once at all. That’s bullshit. You should have at least your last roll be a guarantee of getting each possible option at least once
You are wrong about how "old" items become shit. Diablo 2 was never that way even for a second, any items found on Ladder went to non ladder and held the same stats on non-ladder. The moment D4 hit with its "seasonal shit" is when this strted happening hence why the eternal people are PISSED. Characters that go to eternal should not have ANY less value to the character then SEASONAL ever fucking period.
If a class can reach higher levels in the Pit, it usually means there is something fundamentally stronger than in other classes. That's not true for all builds, but take lightning spear for example. The splintering aspect, the infinite crit damage scaling and the conjuration mastery passive just make you incredibly powerful. No matter if your gear is epic or trash, you'll always be considerably better than equally geared other builds.
@@flowqi212 yes if a build reaches higher in the pit it’s stronger. That’s what we are discussing. What would you use as a measuring stick instead of pits then ?
@R0karn are you asking me? I just confirmed with my previous post that Pit is the right way. If you want more details, I'd look at how far a build can push AND how fast it can clear 101 (current season 5).
Doesn't help when almost noone plays it though xD They messed up by making the campaign way too long. Also they can't rely on a famous IP like Diablo can while sorting out issues.
why is the go-to for people that have a couple of hours here and there always 'they shouldn't be able to do pit200'. Nobody is asking for that. Just let us get to pit 100 or something and be able to grind bosses for mythics at least for the last few weeks. The mid season xp buff does wonders. im on pit 133
also as usual they saving QoL changes for next season soo they get praised again they did it every season tho.. first tp outside NMD next season u teleported inside like in what world any1 wanted to be teleported outside its just soo they have something to improve next season

What if instead limit the board quantity, each board must be purchased with certain paragon points? And prices can go up each time.
on the eternal realm complaint: you keep all transcendent sparks right? Sure its sucks to scrap but even with slightly weaker stats, farm up new ones, if garbo or not for build: scrap, then make a new one. At the end of the day sure it sucks but I thought the whole endgame is to farm and if you are permanently maxed whats the real loss?
its good change that u dont just reach all skillpoints and paragon points in 1 day honestly i always got bored after i got lvl 100 just huntong for that 1% better gear
The paragon changes I can get but the items drops? They gotta be smokin crack
if they can't update old mythic equipment in new update, they should give us material when salvaging to craft new mythics and problem with obsolete gear would be resolved
Perra Gaming is the goat for builds. Lets go perra !!!!
Perra is again 100 % right ! The game needs radical thinking changes ! I doubt those amateurs can fix it till the start ....
They should've kept the paragon nodes RED instead of white when adding new points to the boards. Also the glyph sockets in PTR were hard to see compared to live, especially when in preview mode.
i mean at a certain point it doesnt matter how far a class can clear at the 140+ level.
You crying about core skills on barb, I'd say core skills on all the classes are junk. from my perspective during the early seasons each class had core skills over performing 1 shotting lilith and wrecking t100 nmd. now the games difficulty has risen much much higher than s0-3 but all those big nerfs persisted. so many classes have core skills that just flat out dont have any power or aspects to support them
Every expansion in WOW the new greens were stronger than the old items.
they should make legacy ubers give you a resplendent spark so you can replace the old one with the new one on eternal realm that would fix there problem.
There should be a mini game while tempering to increase your odds.
Just need ancestral to drop 4 times more often and make the drop rate scale with torment level and it will be fine
@rob2628 Please push for export/import of talents and paragon boards. They can do it in WoW. no technical reason it can't be done in D4.
Not sure how it would translate to live because you have no Ubers and aspects but could prob make it work.
these reaction videos are absolute gold!
at max paragon points achieved a 6th paragon board could get unlocked.
😆 🤣 😂 love the way he say "dog shit" 😆 🤣 ahhhh I'm dying 🤣 😭
they should do 2 servers, 1. the easy mode that is curent PTR, 2. hard mode, everything is more rare and enemys are way stronger
like ruthless from PoE?
Blizzard is silent after PTR which imo only means that they are gonna postpone season 6 date ?
Im just saying were missing the main Season 6 loot mechanic, as well as what comes with VOH.
True the Realmwalkers are still missing & gonna be a great addition!
@@Rob2628 exactly, im sure we will have good loot piñata to come. Just not in the PTR.
This will all get fixed in the 2.0 live patch.
Many of the mentioned issues are why we have a PTR in first place. I am also pretty confident that 90% of the issue will be adjusted & that Season 6 will be a ton of fun!
They need to add a loot filter in season 6.
YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH LOOT, THAT'S THE fun PART!!!
All they need is to bring back that Hota play and mahorily buff all its core skills.
agreed with all the points Para made 100%
PARAGON NEEDS A TOGGLE FOR THE NEW VEIW!
Surely that’s better? Now there isn’t a big push towards grinding for hours and hours getting summons for bosses? 😂
People moan about anything and everything
Rob, if you put in more amount of time would you be able to beat Franz Beckenbauer?
The question is, should the game be only played by 1% of the players? Aka youtubers with 24/7 hrs played? If the answer is yes then they should be the only ones achieving the hardest game difficulty. Expect to have around 3000 active players.
On the other hand. Does time always define quality? Your average time played gamer should be able to play all content within the season time frame on one character. That's called player retention. Active players expected around 3 mil.
how about adding bad luck protection for mythic uniques , 50 uber kills = 1 random mythic or even 100kills
One step forward five steps back
Problem is if it’s not a GA you can only place 1 temper on it. WTAF?!
Have you never see this Guy?? Love him!!!!
dude time is running out in the PTR sense ya know any fix's would be post expansion etc.
Hi rob eine frage hast du vielleicht eine Variante Eissplitter zauberin mit über items
Instead of limiting us with 5 paragon boards they could limit us with max 5 legendary glyphs instead
I was SO close to pre-ordering, glad I didn't.
The biggest issue w tempers
Let’s say your after movement speed and you have 1-4 chance to roll it. Meaning the other 3 options besides movement speed are dog shit.
As of now you can literally never get it to roll once at all. That’s bullshit. You should have at least your last roll be a guarantee of getting each possible option at least once
Set a maximum damage cap of 1000, and build around that. i dont like that billionen damage numbers
They need to make Torment 3+ drop Ancestrals maybe just Torment 4 is guaranteed GA.
I rerolled ammy 266 times ran out of abstruse sigil and never got the passive I wanted
Blizzard could buff barb to the moon and somehow Sorc would accidentally get buffed
You are wrong about how "old" items become shit. Diablo 2 was never that way even for a second, any items found on Ladder went to non ladder and held the same stats on non-ladder. The moment D4 hit with its "seasonal shit" is when this strted happening hence why the eternal people are PISSED. Characters that go to eternal should not have ANY less value to the character then SEASONAL ever fucking period.
its the best way to force ppl to play seasons as that is a higher chance to milk them for microtransaction $$$
This game would be better. If each season you level up 100 more levels and there would be a new world teir.
Why are the pits used as a measuring stick for how good a class is when all those builds are min maxed to the max. No average player plays like that
That’s the hardest content. What else would you use as a measuring stick?
@@flowqi212 sorry, thought you were the thread starter :)
Got more ancestrals gambling in the PTR.
Something Last Epoch does so much better is build diversity and balance.
Doesn't help when almost noone plays it though xD They messed up by making the campaign way too long. Also they can't rely on a famous IP like Diablo can while sorting out issues.
What do you tell your barber ?
why is the go-to for people that have a couple of hours here and there always 'they shouldn't be able to do pit200'.
