I'm 42. Haven't ridden for 5 years, but i just bought my second S1000RR. Yes it's addictive and it can get you into trouble, but ironically, i feel safer on this bike than most others because of its capabilities.
Bro CBR-1000 RRR SP will go to 200kmph in 1st gear so 120 on this is nothing compared to it, we know you're a Honda guy u should try the 1000 rrr for sure

I'm a visor SHUT rider, hardly ever open it, prescription glasses (clear) use internal tinted visor when needed. Another enjoyable video. Liked the Verisure rant, had a similar experience in UK.
I ride with a clear visor and prescription Oakley glasses w/ transition lenses. These automatically adjust to ambient light levels. Ride in Texas heat, so visor is up at speeds under 40 mph. It will feel like over 110deg F this afternoon.😰 Have over 14.5k miles on my DesertX in 13 months. Michelin Karoo Road tires installed, makes it ride like a big SuperMoto. 🤣

i’ve got the new 1300 GS ..it is absolutely a better bike that the old GS …but you enjoy your KTM so much ..so go with your heart and keep it …but for business the GS/GSA might be better for you ..first world issues ..have both 😂
BTW here in the US we didnt get the great two strokes other countries got t....hings petered out at the RZ350 and maybe a trickle of gray market 500 4 cylinder bikes. There was a 2 stroke sportsbike club that rode up in masse to a local twisties mountain hang out here in so cal. I have to say as cool as they were to look at and listen to they were shat on the move! in the twisties....my overweight not that well ridden Tracer 9gt just left ALL of em.....ALL of em for dead ....in the TIGHT stuff even! Apparently these 2t fan boys are all about making em look pristine and either forgot or never even learnt how to ride em fast in the first place? Im pretty sure my 1970s RD350 canon pace would be so so pathetic today even though I sure felt like I was really getting on it and 1973! Riding my big ol heavy Tracer (485llbs!) I was so embarassed for this entire club!! Of course a lot of their problem isthe old tech tires and suspension narrow rims spindly little forks
Are you really getting so old it's time for a BMW GS? 🤣 Maybe wait for the new 1390 Super Adventure? If you do most road riding then maybe go for the 1390 S model. It's easy to make the 1290 very comfortable. Replace the seat cover with one from Tappzzeria Italia (comfort version) or buy a KTM powerparts rally seat. Maybe even lower footpegs depending on your knee angle. Higher windscreen if you do a lot of touring. I have a Tappezeria seat cover and a WRS caponord screen on my 2021 1290 SAR, no problems at all riding 600km in one day when touring.
2 strokes are actually not known for "making more rpm" Oh contrare! The engineers trying to extract more power from FOURSTROKE engines were forced to make them into oversquare rev monsters! Two strokes make EXPLOSIVE power but they cant reliably handle a lot of rpm because the crank and rod bearings are barely lubicated by a little oil mixed in with fuel because the fuel air mix HAS to circulate around the crank rod and piston where it gets forced through transfer ports back on top of piston to be compressed and sploded every other stroke (every up stroke compression every down stoke POWER while amazingly every upstroke EXHAUST and every down stroke forcing air fuel UPWARDS into combustion chamber! A MIRACLE! Its MAGIC! But it aint no rev to the moon thing compared to 4 stroke like for like ....Put it this way a high revving two stroke production (Aprillia circa mid nineties) 250cc motorcycle might do approx half the RPM of the high revving FOUR stroke (like 19k rpm! ) of CBR250RR
I would think it is cause for lawsuit? I think it is is called "attractive nuisance" When someone just sets something SO SO very danngerous AND so VERY tempting out where children have access to it? THAT is RIGHT THERE a law suit waiting to happen ....you say "but it is ADULTS that have access not children" Oh REALLY? You gonna try to say that adult men dont BECOME children around motorcycles? Because FACT we DO...put me on a jury and sorry I can not tell a lie BMW is GUILTY of willfully (for profit no less) of tempting weak minded children HELPLESS to control theirselves around such devices....I would argue that it is cruel even....and SHAME on you BMW!
