- The 2023 Honda Civic Type R is officially available in the Philippines priced at P3.88 million Philippine Pesos. The new Type R, otherwise known as the FL5, is Honda's greatest and most powerful Civic Type R yet. More mature-looking than the FK8, the FL5 marks the second time that Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) has introduced a high-performance model in the country. This is the 11th-generation Honda Civic Type R on this episode of Behind a Desk.

Greets from Canada, I loved Type R cars, this Civic R is looked so amazing.
Expect the scalpers would sell this at 5 Million Pesos
yup there are videos already that scalpers are selling it around 5M :D
@@Bosdaks GR Supra money
Acura Integra Type S cheaper at $52k.
No automatic for this?since i can't drive a manual transmission :(.. currently driving a Honda civic 2014 model..
Depends if Honda PH is planning to add another batch of Civic Type-Rs after the previous generation is already sold out in 48 hours after the PH launch.
Will we get the Civic hybrid here in the Philippines, the one that has a similar back as the Type R here(without the spoiler)?
Hybrid Sedan (e:HEV) is the one coming to the local market
which is better this one or ford mustang ? when it comes to gas.
Yes nauna rin😅🥰 sa comment section
I really like how you explained the whole subjects 🥰🥰💪 keep it up sir
Nah, if there's plenty more buyers, many more will come. Just like last time, they went for "limited" units (if I remembered correctly the first shipment was a hundred) then they ship more after the manufacturer knew it is still in demand while in other nations one can get in a dealer and buy one outright because they were flooded with Type R.
It took 2 years for Honda dealers to remove the older 2019 MY Civic Type R units to be sold out.
Very nice review Mr. Shorty. 😃
cant belive my favorite car is alr here fr
Unpopular opinion: This looks way better compared to the fk8
Totally agree.
Bibili na yan 😉
@@lolpartyparrot Bat ka nandito 🤣
Ofc because that car looked like it was designed by teenagers
I don't think it's an unpopular opinion. That should be the majority opinion.
Around $40k in the US though
Type R is still a car not accessible to a poor man like me in Malaysia.
I had a chance to lift up the hood of a FK8 and I was so impressed by the weight of it.
I just wish to have a chance to lift up the hood of a FL5.......
it's all about the connection, connection, connection good luck getting one ,🙂
A lot more tastefully done, the styling. I also like that Honda doesn't use the "Type-R" badging to make other non-performance oriented models more exciting. Lol GR.
Also, I am amazed that the Civic is still hasn't been turned to a silly SUV.
For almost 3.9 million pesos, I'd rather get the Mustang GT 5.0 for 3.55 million. Better performance, awesome V8 sounds and legendary muscle car pedigree since 1965. Plus I can use the 350k difference to either install some aftermarket upgrades or get a 2nd hand car for hauling groceries and other tasks that require more space.
Yup it is way over priced in the Phil. It’s about $70k USD in the Philippines while in the US it’s only about $45k.
Nice Honda type r .
I hope I can meet the next gen z coupe
I've seen a review of this from carwow here on RUclips and honestly, I'm impressed with it's performance and quality. Although, expect it to be more expensive as this car has a lot of improvements from the previous generation.
Way way tooooo expensive. It’s only $45k in the US.
@@ezar9129 All cars in the philippines is way more expensive than cars in the US
@@ChargeLaster how much more is way expensive
Of course fans always do have the money to own one of those
"Sharp Gundam aesthetic"... Lol! Pretty accurate description for the 10th gen 😄
No longer looks like a Gundam, but now looks like an Accord haha. It's better though.
@@jeremybcenteno Did you mean "now looks like an Accord?" Actually yeah I agree! From the rear also, I think it also resembles a BMW 3 series.
Is it exempted in the 100kph speed limit in the philippines?
*I'd rather wish that Honda N-box was available here in the philippines.*
King of FF cars
Waiting for the new 2023 toyota vios!
Solid
Manual ?
Still waiting for the HRV-S full review/fuel economy 🥲
The the FK8 is still faster in a sprint than this new FL5 even if it has more hp.
2:31 all except for SiriusXM because that's not available in the Philippines.
Why is it so expensive at almost P3.9M? It’s made in Japan. It should have been cheaper than the previous made in UK Type R.
This car is way overpriced in the Philippines at ₱3,880,00 which is about $70,000 USD. In the US it is priced at about $45k and the better version of it the Acura Integra Type S is about $52k USD. I just wonder how Honda Philippines justify that over price value.
sporty - executive
nice
3.8M with only 40 units?! Damn each one of those better be signed by Max Verstappen, Checo or Yuki! 🤣
That 3.8m? I'll choose Hyundai palisade over this
@@AntiJEVsInPH This is more than a "toy" than a daily driver. You won't want to drive this everyday, even though its hatchback-ness practicality says otherwise.
@@AntiJEVsInPH hopefully bababa yung presyo niyan in the succeeding years or when the gr corolla hits the ph.
No more price change of type r, it's official
I hope we can get Nissan 400z here 👀
Later this year
@@KuchingKingVideoGamer 👀
GR Corolla for me 😅
Hope they come out with an automatic transmission as well.
Unlikely to happen
lol type r automatic? what timeline are you from?
Tbh it destroys the spirit of the Type R if they did
@@stepladder3257 gone are the days when the Type R were lightweight sports car. now they exist for the heck of it.
@@automachinehead so an automatic transmission would not be so bad after all then. Since they just exist for the heck of it
Finally a replacement for the eye sore FuK8... whoever designed that one should have been fired.
Honestly, it looks like the ghostbuster ambulance car. Not sporty at all. Just saying facts.
Bobo
The European version have more horsepower 430hp
No, it doesn't. European Civic Type-R develops 325 hp.
Sheesh
Toyota CAMRY much cheaper HYBRID,BETTER and ELEGANT…just my opinion✌️
The previous type r is faster
Kawawa left leg mo nyan
The slowest car in carwow's recent drag race. 😅😁😂🤣🙃
lmao. It ain't built for drag races anyway, it's more of a track forward car.
You should've watched Throttle House's videos about this FL5.
@@SwoosheD_ 😅 All production road legal cars are not built for drag race. Already watched those said videos, and this new Civic Type R is just white and overpriced. 😁😂🤣
@@exiathegundam Shut up kid! alam mo ba sinasabi mo?
@@hellovinsuuu7593 Yes, i know what i'm saying. And thank you very much for calling me a kid. 😁😂🤣🙃
We don't give a damn if it's slow. PERIOD.
