I love how fred armisen just shows up whenever he's needed. it's like a magical ability.
It’s as if he’s often in a nearby studio or something…
Others might call it unemployment.
@@joetowers4804 So he just works with Seth Meyers for free then?
Because he's the comedian we deserve, just not the one we need right now. So he'll show up. Because he's not a regular. He's an adept impressionist, a fluid props-man, A Fred Armisen.
He's Dobby
Jason Sudeikis leaves SNL and amazingly increases his stardom tenfold; this year winning SAG, Golden Globe, Emmy, and Writer's Guild awards....comes back to do the running man for Kenan Thompson. So much love.
Nobody's too big to do the running man!!! NOBODY!!!!
@@bertmitty9099 NOBODY!!!!
I consider him one of the SNL greats because how much into character he gets and his writing.
@@Frank_San_Nicolas If you haven't seen his Tesh Jingle from SNL, I can't stop staring at his face 🤣
I'm always mesmerized by his moves
Jason’s everything in this. His dances actually were dope, his leaps from offstage, and the walks offstage after the dance was over. Cracking up.
I was thinking that through the whole video lmao
Same!!! He had me dying, dude can get down🕺
That silly little walk off stage is hilarious and conveys so much weirdness to that character.
He had more energy in the original sketches. His performance here was incredibly lackluster.
@@raperepublicanwomentheysee1786 he’s old now.
Fred Armisen showing up to play the saxophone has fixed all of my problems
That's great to hear, Lily. I hope your problems stay fixed. 😊
He just loves to hang around 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Couldn't get him last week to reprise his prince though
Totally agree! So happy to see him 🤩
Love that he was playing the real notes at the right time- he's a great musician in his own right.
The fact that Jason just absolutely LAUNCHES himself from offscreen from god who knows where just makes it so funny
Makes me laugh … every, single, time
In my mind there is a mini trampoline just off camera
😂🤣
Offscreen. He launches from just out of frame.
... Am... Am I God?!
I was hoping they’d do this. Those launches made the skit
Kenan shouting out "Watch Ted Lasso!" at 6:44 is friendship personified!! I'm so glad this skit lives on and hope Suds' knees recover 🥰🤣
Also great advice because the show is fantastic.
wow i missed that and had to replay LOL.
You mean Vance's knees.
I wasn’t sure. But he did say that.
What’s Ted Lasso already on streaming?
It’s on Apple TV.
Ted Lasso is an American football coach who comes to England to coach football (soccer), it’s quite sweet and very funny.
You just know that Kenan absolutely had a blast playing this character again.
It’s written all over his face
I was hoping they do that SKETCH. 😂😂😁
I wasn’t expecting it, which makes it all the sweeter. I was holding out for another episode of Maine Justice…. maybe next time.
This sucked. The vibes and energy that were present in original sketches are missing here.
@@raperepublicanwomentheysee1786 Sure, but it was nice to see they still care for this sketch
Jason Sudeikis has the best vibe, everyone was having an absolute blast this whole episode.
Makes me miss the early 2010's cast with Sudeikis,Wiig,Hader, Samberg, and Armisen
Kenan has lost so much weight the suit doesn't fit any more... Looks like he's wearing a fake stomach but the legs are way loose
I thought so too!
He's a morale booster fo sho.
He is great indeed 🤣
Jason makes his wild runningman dancing look easy, but as a dancer, I can tell you that it's actually SUPER DIFFICULT to look that smooth while jumping around like a maniac (trust me, just try it), so big props to Jason for being so groovy!!
The Vance Dance
Practice makes perfect.
The running man was one of my favorite dances growing up. Just make sure your feet are hitting the ground to the beat of the music and your arms are in sync with your feet, and you'll look fine.
He’s got great form considering he’s not (I’m guessing) dance trained and he’s in his 40s here :)
I get the feeling Keenan is thrilled to do this running sketch again.
Also, I love that they always get these celebrities to just come on to be ignored. There are real talk shows that would kill for these bookings 😂🤣
I have a feeling that sometimes the celebs would much rather sit there and do nothing that be grilled with actual talk show questions 😂
Jason’s running man is still intact he was looking gassed at the end though lol
Getting old is a B**ch. But it was great!
His dancing is🤩
He should have stayed on slo-mo running man. Or power-walking man, at least. An older power-walking man listening to 80s hip-hop cassettes on his old Sony Walkman.
Poor Jason is like, end this shit already thru the smiles.
He is older
The audience did not appreciate this comeback enough. I would have been DYING.
Don't you hate it when the best things fly right over the audience's head?
Me too 😂😂😂
Same!!!
@@JesusPulledMeThrough Time can be the enemy when old sketches are revived, and the audience have changed.
Seriously!! I was freaking out that they brought this sketch back!! The audience was completely lost. Oh well.
Having Fred Armisen on as a guest on skits is always such a treat
agreed:) My fave will always be “punk band reunion at the wedding.” I watch it religiously.
I luv his 'Pat & Patty's Backpack Shack'.
He never disappoints 👍🏼
I miss The Californians
I liked his Spanish character
I love that Fred came out to the show for the sole purpose of playing a basically mute saxophonist just because everyone wanted to see Jason Sudeikis dance again 😂
They nailed it
I hope your wife is better
** procedes with idiotic laugh **
I cried :'D
He films with Seth Meyers in the same building if I recall correctly
Kenan's anecdotes after he ends the song kill me every time. "Now if you are out here trick or treating, don't you give me no damn fruit!" lmao.
😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣
He also did a post song anecdote before about ET liking Reeces Pieces.
one of my favorite anecdotes from deondre lol
My fav is when he vamps up for the song, acting surprised by the starting verses of the song then gets closer to the camera lol
Kenan Thompson makes the world a better place. He just does.
Correct
Agree 100%
Yep!❤
Yep!!
He's been doing this since he was a kid on All That. He has about 20 years of additional experience under his belt compared to the rest of the cast.
I was really hoping for bill hader to pop up
you know he will eventually
Itd be too good to be true :(
That was him in the Nicholas Braun costume.
He did, he was the third guy the whole time.
I was hoping he would just interview him the whole time. Would have been funny if he finally gave time to him.. when it wasn’t actually him. lol
I did miss Bill Hader but another hilarious What’s up with that. Everyone genuinely looks like they gave a blast making these skits. One of the most underappreciated recurring scetches ever.
He was there in the cousin Greg costume
They should only do this when everyone is available to come back.. this skit is all about repetition for me.. I didn’t like it until I saw like 3 episodes of it.. 😀 it rubs on you
@@thegoodthebadandtheugly579 true i remember early 2010s people hating on what’s up with that sketches now people love them me included 10 years ago I hate them but now hat I’m older I appreciate Kenan more so has everybody else

Bill was in the 2020 What's Up With That skit so we might see him at some point.
It's crazy this sketch is over 12yrs old and I still laugh whenever Lindsey Buckingham is mentioned, Bill Hader doesn't even need to be there and I'm dying just imaging his different reactions throughout the show.
I was really hoping I'd get to see the Lindsey Buckingham apology one last time.
Has Lindsey Buckingham ever actually showed up?
@@lemorab1 Yes.

@@briengakaplan-b1550 awkward silence mmmmmmyeah!
When I was a kid I had a rough time with abusive, alcoholic parents and didn't have much reason to laugh. But when I watched Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell on the Kenan and Kel show and All That, they made me laugh when I didn't think I could. And all these years later I still watch Kenan on SNL, and he's funny as ever. He'll always be one of my favorite people. If I ever met him, I'd thank him for sharing his gift of comedy with those who really needed a laugh in their lives. What's Up With That is one of my favorite SNL skits I've ever seen and he's brilliant in every one.
You should send a note to the studio. It might eventually get to him. I bet it would make his life.

This truly is one of the most nonsensically goofy sketch ever and it is absolutely hilarious. I still can’t imagine how this skit was pitched to Lorne, but no matter what this will be one of my all time favorite SNL sketch!
My son's hate it lol 😂 they don't get the pointlessness of it
Whenever some in my house uses the expression "What's up with that" We All break out into song.
All of the whats up with that's are good. Just absolute shitposts of sketches
I think Seth Meyers was head writer at the time and the head writer gives it a pass, but Lorne has the ultimate last say in it (of course)
😂😍😂
You can tell everyone is having a blast doing this skit. Bring this skit back more often
I always loved him in this skit. He comes flying out of nowhere.
So goofy, I love it.

I think that's the same suit Kenan wore back in the day, but it's huge on him now! And Jason's dance moves were still on point!
Yes it's kept and brought out for special occasions such as this

We need to start appreciating Kenan more. He shines so bright and no one talks about it enough.
Are you kidding. The man is a star burning brightly.
No we don't
He's a legend with Tim Meadows.
He's easily the best cast member in the history of the show. He is definitely recognized.
Imo I love it when he plays these insane, zany, off the wall characters. Not really a fan when he’s the straight man tho
As someone always points out, Jason's stage walk-off after a musical number never fails to crack me up, cupping his hands out.
When he jumps in and walks off the stage then down the stairs 😆
Makin' George Jefferson so proud.
Its jump on stage from out of nowhere that gets me lol I know Vance's knees are shot lol
What's up with Baldwin.
Yes! Everyone talks about the jump in but the walk OFF is comedy gold. The way he holds his arms, swivels his body to walk off camera and, like you said, cups his hands. It's silly and brilliant.
Never gets old, I don’t care how many times they do it.

I'll never get tired of watching Jason Sudeikis dance, light up the whole show 😁
The most incredibly wholesome thing about this, is we see hear Kenan yell "watch Ted Lasso!" at the end. In all his time, we never hear Kenan use snl as a platform to advertise his own show. But the exuberance Kenan spills forth when he exclaimed the Apple+ surprise hit show's name, that's just pure friendship.
And he probably didn’t say it in in rehearsals 😉

He's so masterful at selling this sketch every single time. This kind of cheerfully mischievous vibe where he shoots us little side looks after each rhyming adjective, facetiously pretending it's a surprise like, "I'm going to act like this is a surprise, but we all know where this going."
