Plot
The game takes place one year after the events of the original White Knight Chronicles. A year after the return of the Yshrenian Empire, Leonard and his companions come back together to protect the Kingdom of Balandor, the Archduchy of Faria and the Free City of Greede from the Yshrenian Empire, and end up having to save the entire world.

Two new characters will also play key parts in the story: Miu, the daughter of Archduke Dalam; and the mysterious Scardigne. There is civil unrest in the Archduchy of Faria, with one faction trying to protect Miu and another militant faction trying to spark a revolution. Scardigne belongs to the former, but you'll need to play the actual game to fully understand the role he takes in the story.

White Knight Chronicles II will bring a satisfying conclusion to the conflict between Yshrenia and the other powers, and to the stories of Grazel, Leonard, and Princess Cisna.

This was the game that got me into mmorpgs, and it was where I met most of my online group before the servers shut down. It was a shame that the Avatar story was kept from the NA players (and Europe too I believe), because that was basically what killed the community and poor handling of releasing other dlc content that was never released outside of Japan. I miss playing this game, I was only GR 27 and had just gotten the colours I had wanted for my Knight. RiP WKC, you were truly a great treasure while you had lasted

Yeah same here. I'd love it if they brought it back for ps4 or ps5. The online for this game is better than most games out there these days.
I miss this game so fucking much. Sucks that they shut down the online portion and I no longer have a ps3 to play it on.

@Reyalamor duuuuude how long ago did they put it on Vimmmm? I've been wanting to play it for so long but I couldn't get it anywhere and I don't have a disk tray to extract directly to my computer.
I miss this game. I miss my friends. I used to spend hours just socializing in random homesteads on the days I wasn't actually grinding for those damn lethal gallstone +'s. I heard they are making a new game based on the same universe but under a new title, I hope it has multiplayer because that was honestly what drove me to buying the game. (Being overshadowed by fucking Leonard in story mode was, in fact, NOT the selling point.) My only real gripe left is no avatar quest. I don't care if I had to pay fifty bucks to get it UNTRANSLATED, I wanted it.

Man i was super mad when level 5 decided to stop the servers. I remember everyone was super mad on their facebook, and went to their office. Ughh i really loved this game.

I can’t believe that there wasn’t another game that’s been released after White Knight Chronicles 2. I mean this game did have a proper conclusion to its story, but it never gets talked about enough. At least this game deserves some sort of PS5/PS6 remaster some day.

Same. Even if they didnt rework any of the graphics or story. Just a port to ps5 and bring the online servers back since they are definitely easier to host nowadays than they used to be
I was so upset that the first game was constantly corrupting my file saves...I couldn't get past a certain point I think it was the steampunk city in the barren gorge. It was such a gamebreaking bug.
