We are all officially moving back to Texas full time! We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you all. Thank you for watching ❤️Be on the lookout for more moving vlogs!
Congratulations. MUCH nicer than Philly area. Lived in Philly area for 20 years. Hate the crime and the attitude toward people who live off the East Coast
Omm, I'm telling your mom, no seatbelt on entering Texas.😁 On the liter side.. I've made several trips up and down the "Alcan" highway (Alaska Canada), one time I was in a hurry and drove the 4500 mile trip, Alaska to Denver in 95 hours, (1 hour shy of four days and nights) I averaged over 1100 miles per day. Oh yes I sure wanted to sleep when I got there. But,, my youngest daughter (19) had a surprise for me. She took me to see the movie "Ever After" with Drew Barrymore. Yes I thought it was Awesome.
Your so lucky to get to stop at hotels every few hours when i was younger my parents refused to stop at hotels until our destination, bad weather, or the person driving was to tired. So we would spend over 24 hours in the car (longest was 30+) and we would only stop for bathroom and food but rarely.
This was a fun vlog, I enjoyed a lot. Very cool you are back together in Texas. Luna sure is a very cool dog, seems so well behaved inn the car. Congratulations to your fine partner on his new new job. I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful new adventure!!
Welcome back to Texas, Julia, Eric and Luna! 💕 Thank you for taking us along with you on your road trip. I have driven between California and Georgia a handful of times so I know how exhausting being in the car for 3 days is. Fortunately, you had great travel mates in Eric and Luna. Can't wait to see your new digs. Best of luck to Eric at the new job! 💕
I think me and my wife and you guys crossed paths in Roanoke, if that was the home 2 suites by Hilton. While we didn't have the dogs this time, we like the chain for its pet policy. We were also taking the three day route, traveling but from NJ, taking the same route back to Texas and Roanoke is usually our first stop. Memphis or Little Rock (depending on how we feel) is our final stop, this time we made it to little Rock. We like to stop at that Bass Pro Shop (Ducks Unlimited Pyramid) with our pups, nice way to stretch the legs for everyone. Otherwise we try and coordinate food and fuel stops with a petsmart or petco, so the dogs get to stretch their legs too. Glad you had a safe trip back.
When Daisy was still with us, we got her a doggie seat belt/harness. It helped her calm down, to a point, and made the drives more pleasurable for her and us. Especially to not feel worn out from having the dog lying on you for the whole trip.
My son lived in Roanoke for years. I love road trips, such a great way to see a lot. Glad you took us along. Congrats on your new home. Can't wait to see it, Julia 🤗
Ducks Unlimited is a Wildlife Preservation Organization is best I can tell you. I’ve been to their dinners and Banquets catered by a Volunteer Fire Department in Delaware. They promote a lot of Wildlife Artwork and stuff like that.
Road trips always start out exciting but after 3 long days, not so much. Luna did so well in the car, she is such a good pup. Excited to see your new place. Fly safe ✈♥️
Wow!!...you just arrived and Eric starts his new job in the AM!!...oh to be young again!!...best of luck to Eric with his new job and in your move. Luna was the perfect travel companion too!!...wishing your little family all the best in your new place together!!...stay safe, pace yourself and get some rest. You did look tired on that second day of your trip...looking forward to seeing your new place. Thank you for sharing!!
FYI, Ducks Unlimited is not the same thing as Duck Dynasty or Duck Commander, which is owned by the Robertson family. Ducks Unlimited is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of wetlands and habitats for waterfowl. Duck Commander is a company that makes duck calls & duck hunting accessories. Just wanted to share that info in case anyone was wondering.
My wife, Paula and I, lived in Austin for a short period. Love Texas. We are on a quest to go to every Major League ballpark and only have 4 to go. Arlington was our most recent visit. In will say I am a little disappointed they decided to tear down a 25 year old beautiful park just to build a new one but I understand the issues with unbearable summer heat where it can get 125 or more on the field. The upside - another new park to visit. Keep up the great work.
My daughter works at the Barnes and Noble at Stonebriar mall in Frisco. She said Colleen Hoover came to the store today and signed all of her books they that had in stock. My daughter is a big fan so was thrilled to get to meet her. 🤗
Wow this brings back some memories .. when I was in college 4 of us drive from Boston to Dallas .. only stop for gas and pick up something to eat .. 28 hours on the road .. I did all the driving and did not sleep ..
Dear Julia, your vlogs are amazing! You are such a lovely and calm person. I really enjoy watching your videos because you have such an interesting job & lifestyle. You are truly an inspiriation! Wishing you and your loved ones all the best, stay safe! ✈️❤️
i love watching your " shows". every job has its " burnout" times. i dont think you will hit this anytime soon with ur positive outlook. after 28 years in the healthcare field, i have decided since covid, to retire early. each person has to decide for himself/herself. and u can always start working again if you want. its only work, was my mantra when things got stressful. there is feast and famine in alot of fields. when its good, save. because u will need it when its not.
WELCOME BACK TO TEXAS!!! SORRY, but I have lost some time with all three of yall...have missed watching your videos, so I am behind the times, I did not know that yall had moved...safe travels for all of yall!!!
Luna is a sweetheart! Glad you both are together in Texas! Roanoke is not far from us and it’s beautiful. I’ve lived in Memphis and have traveled extensively in Texas. Love the Dallas area and it’s beautiful skyline. I thought I saw Lake Ray Hubbard in your vlog? Best to you, Eric, and Luna in 2022!
Hi Julia Welcome back to Texas. Best of Luck moving to your new home & to Eric in his New job. Hope Luna loves the New Place. Take Care and Stay Safe/Healthy
Needed my fill of Luna in this video. ❤️ My 9 year old cat just had surgery to remove a chest tumor today so feeling a little blue. So glad the move went smoothly for you all.
Hello Julia, Glad you made the trip safely and now you can begin moving...I hate moving. I consider each day a new adventure , not knowing what to expect but learning something new and, hopefully, exciting. Luna was amazing and so mellow on such a long drive. Hope Eric enjoys his new job and you begin flying again soon. Take care, be safe. hugs
One of the best videos. Thanks for sharing your trip and I was delighted to finally see more of your significant other. I must say, he is rather handsome!
Great road trip vlog, Julia. It's great that all of you are back together. Can't wait to see your moving vlogs. It was a great trip, with beautiful scenery and seeing Luna with her head out the window, despite the rain and snow
I've driven from North Carolina to California and back to North Carolina from California. I've been in Roanoke, Virginia before. I'm now living in Auburn, Alabama. I plan on moving back to North Carolina late this year or early next year.
My home stomping ground! Southwest Virginia!! 🙂 That’s where I worked as an EMT for over 13 years. Worked for a medical transport company in Roanoke and on Wythe County Rescue Squad in Wytheville. (For those not familiar with the pronunciation, it’s pronounced WITH-ville. Or for short, WOOFvul. 😉) We moved to northern Indiana about 3 years ago. So glad y’all had a safe trip! Wish y’all the best as you settle in to your new place and that the sale of your old place will land a nice profit! God bless!
Wow JJ….you got to have my buddy, Luna on your lap. Glad you’re all able to go home. On another note, Wednesday I go into the hospital to have a tumor removed from my bladder. I’m staying positive!
I love road trips when you don’t need to rush to get to your destination. Must have felt a little funny for you though when normally you can fly across the US in hours instead of days lol!
Hope you enjoyed your road trip. I used to live in Roanoke VA and now Lubbock TX making that long drive can brutal. ROA is beautiful and my husband and I enjoyed our time there but Texas is pretty amazing!
Recognized too uch of that from my roadtrips between coasts. I-81 Front Royal-Knoxville. And, I-40 from Knoxville to... a little bit further west than you went: Bartow, California!
What a long haul! I so felt for you guys. I was beginning to wonder if it rained (and snowed) most of the way! Glad you caught some dry weather at least. Luna seems like such a sweet travel doggie. Oh wow Starbucks has treats for furbabies? That's cool! AWWW the New Year's smooch! Thank you for taking us along :) Hope all goes smoothly with the settling in and CONGRATS once again!!
It was such a long drive but we made it!! & yeah if you ask Starbucks for a “pup cup” they’ll give you a cup of whip cream! 🐶😋 thanks for following along Scott can’t wait to share the move!
Glad you are all back in Texas. Please when at all possible keep sweet miss Luna in the back seat. Having her in your lap is very dangerous for her. When she cannot lie down that can be harsh on her hip and joints.
Good that you guys made that drive safely, especially at this time of the season. There is a pretty big storm front in the Northeast moving up towards Toronto right now so you got out at the right time. It'll be nice to see your new place soon, too !
We just moved this week from NC to WY. Josie did very well for a long 3 day road trip, through 7 states. We stayed in Airbnb's, one not so great and the other two were much better (the one in Lincoln, Nebraska I would recommend to everyone). Still in our temp home and waiting for our house to be finished tomorrow. Can't wait to just settle in and be normal again. Glad you made it safely to Texas.
Julia Wonderful to see you and Eric at home and together again!! Nothing like a shower at home after travelling, absolutely!! Luna is like our dog, travels well and loves the fresh air. Looking forward to your new beginning in the apartment!! Great way to start the new year. Did you injure yourself? Jennifer and Duncan
Welcome Home Eric & Luna!! What a great fun video. Miss Luna & Eric were both well behaved. Wishing you all so much continued happiness now that you are back under one (new) roof. So many great things ahead.
I drive through Memphis a lot & I always love seeing the Pyramid when I drive by it. Did you know that it used to be a basketball arena where the Memphis Grizzlies played before it was turned into the giant Bass Pro Shop that it is today?
So glad you all made it safely back home. Good luck on your new apartment. Im sure it will feel much better without commuting to Phillie. Luna looks like a great traveling dog. Stay safe

My best travel hack for traveling with dogs is to find a La Quinta. Dogs stay free, or at least they did pre-pandemic.
