No. Mase took that money from Sony and then retired. I've been telling ppl this for years. It had nothing to do with Puff, Biggie, or him being extorted (even though that last part played a role in why he moved to Atlanta). Mase received a lot of money for his All Out imprint label at So So Def/Columbia (Sony) and then retired without fulfilling his obligations at Bad Boy as an artist and at Sony as a label. He pocketed the funds and ran to Atlanta with it.

They keep asking about “I need a girl” but didn’t know there was an actual song on the “The saga continues” called I need a girl? With Lion’s best verses.
To their defence the story of that record is confusing af because it was over 20 years ago and they decided to make not one but two singles out of it, none of which is the original track. That was when it was in vogue to do that with “Big Poppa” being another example.
The numbering doesn’t help either: the Bella version is effectively “I need a girl part 0,” but doing that wasn’t in vogue just yet.
Loon still murdered that track, however.
