Yes, Harlem World was a solid debut album, he didn’t come and try to replace B.I.G, he stayed in HIS lane and in turn created a blueprint where rappers can be gangsta but still be smooth, so both males and females was rocking with him.

I think that's a reflection of the impact/influence each of these artists/groups have had. While it's true that Mase is kind of the father of Harlem rap/Hip Hop on a mainstream level (I know on the street level a lot of people might give that to Big L), but since he wasn't as consistent as Cam'ron and Dipset, it's a lot easier to forget about him when talking about Harlem rap/Hip Hop and it takes him popping up every now and then to remind people of the history.
I think that's a line up when they talk about how young people ain't feeling brothers from the 90s so they aren't relevant and have no worth. This is my opinion you feel me but everyone in their mid 30s to all the way up to 50s still purchase music either by streaming or other music platforms. We don't relate to the young bulls like that but why we only hear this in hiphop? You would never hear that about frank Sinatra or Bruce Springsteen or Jon bon Jovi, why? My opinion is because in hiphop labels, when a artist gets to their 30s and 40s they get more serious on the business side so the labels can't fool them with jewelry and expensive cars and they want their residuals and everything they're entitled to. As opposed to the youngins that just want to be lit and they can be hypnotized by the shinny trinkets and foreign cars that depreciate as soon as you spin them wheels.

In my opinion Mase feels how he feels. I don’t know his contactual deals with Puff, so I can’t speak to whether he’s right or wrong to diss Puff as he’s done. I do know that Mase’s story is there, so that the emcees that come after him don’t make the same business mistakes. Hopefully they can watch clips like this, holla at a manager like Esso before they sign a contract, and have them break down the contract, so that they can understand what they are signing. 12:05 nah Math, I get what you are saying but at the same time Mase has maintained he wasn't even going to do more than one album. He said he was telling people this in the beginning. So IDK how he is ever able to stand on that statement and the agreement was for him to do 5 albums but he out here stating he is only doing 1 and a possible. Also, MASE said whatever the agreement was, it never came to pass because "niggas kept lying" referring to Puff so he deaded the situation after the 2nd album. Since Puff didn't stick to the agreement, there was no agreement so MASE was out! Even when he came back on some "welcome back" he said the same thing happened so he was out yet again! IDK how many times he was supposed to trust in Puff to get it right. Puff can be in his feelings all he want, but if he actually did not adhere to what was agreed upon, his feelings don't matter. Thats a business move on Mase behalf as well. I also don't see how he was able to just leave and not owe Bad Boy anything if he completely was on paper as not fufiling his contract. Puff don't let ish ride or go when it comes to money on the floor. Present day, Puff holds his publishing and IDK if the original contract said he gets in back after a certain amount of albums are fufilled. This remains to be seen.
