Hope this will help you guys because it did help me a lot!!! This issue may apply to another 4x4 Vehicle as far I know!!!
Remember to reset the system as I’m showing up here!!!
Thanks for watching please like if you guys find this helpful!!!
The vacuum can get out of sequence. I think some of these trucks got a recall that basically locked the hubs in full time. I despise motorized 4wd selectors and vacuum actuated hubs. The manual setup has never let me down.
Hey thank you very much for that inf honesty I never thought about checking out the manual 😎
Thanks for the vid..this failed after just 5K miles on my 2018 F150 Limited, though it was covered by warranty. Now it seems its starting to fail again (very intermittent, happened just twice on a 200 mile drive) but the truck is out of warranty so I will do some testing with a minvac pump and get this part and well as maybe the solenoid depending what testing reveals.
I really hope you got it fix after I did this on my still working great no issues yet!
Mine makes the same noise when accelerating when I get to about 30mph but only in 2wd not in 4wd
So you unpluged all the hoses there and did the process of 4low, 4hi, back to 2wd while is unpluged?
Yes 👍
2019 and 45000kms on it. I brought mine in as it still had warranty.. Fords fix was to disconnect the vacuum supply so hubs are always engaged, thus having front drivetrain always turning. Not acceptable..
Sorry Ford, last one I buy!
No kidding 😝 I got a feeling now it’s time to start getting horses 🐎 lol cars now days are just trash 🚮
i did that, still there, found out it was the 4" hose clamps surrounding the heat shield underneath, corroded off, 2$ at home depot to replace, noise is gone
Very very happy to hear that I’m glad you found the issue after I replace that part on my truck I haven’t hear anything here I’m at 53,824 miles and still running good!!!
Which heat shield there’s multiple?
@@JesusGarcia98.F the 1 where the 2 pipes connect into 1 close to the front
Just changed it still there. I'd assume I gotta change the part down below now...
Have you check the brake pad ????
@@7outdoors4life I’ve also changed the vacuum hose but still exists. Do you think that the break pads causes this as well? Or it’s the IWE issue?
@@Midotheleo yes break pads could make this nasty noise also use break cleaner on the pads just in case it’s dirty. It’s been couple months and after I replace it I haven’t had any issue at all!
I have the same sound coming from my 2019 Ford Expedition max. I will see if this fixes it thanks.
Hey did it fix it??? I hope it did!!! Otherwise don’t forget to check the brake pad? that could be giving you issues too.
Did you find out what yours was?
@@coptrop yes I had to change the little hose and now still working great!
Solenoid is your main problem it's common my 2015 went out an autozone has it rorschach 42 dollars an a lifetime warranty never go to a dealer doorman 600-400
Still running good for me all I knows now day cars are sucks lol
I changed the hose but it didn't fix the problem, now I'm just going to replace the selenoid and see what happens
Hello I have the same noise here and there
Try to get this part and I do really hope it will fix it!!
this is the noise I have on my 2004 f150 happens under extended load seems like the vacuum bleads down.
Where are you from my brother? DR?
El Salvador 🇸🇻
I had this problem just got it fixed it was the hub actuator charged me like $600 to change that BS! I need to learn how to make those suspension repairs myself!
@@maxpainmedia no way $600 that’s crazy as hell you can even get that part from Amazon also less then $70 I believe.
@@7outdoors4life and i got the part from amazon! Lol but they also fixed the diffurential seal it was leaking fluid they had to take off the axle blah blah they charged me $1000 for everything but it was definitely a hefty price in NYC they over charge for everything i cant wait to leave this place!
How much was the part ?
If I remember right I pay almost $25 right from the Ford dealership. But they have them online cheaper but if didn’t work and I buy it online I had to deal with the return. That’s why I went right to the dealership.
Just bought a f150 today that started making the noise otw home. Worst sound ever
Did you figure out what the problem was
@@CantFaZeme24 IWES definitely were bad. They replaced them and plugged the line also. So axles are always engaged.. but not transfer case. Rides smooth and quite now
What year F-150? I have a 2017 F-150 that I believe is doing this.. low gears/speeds and intermittent. Annoying grinding!
@@rockmorg honestly, I don’t know there are several people having the same issues with different brand of cars
30,000 miles..smh what a joke
An 8 dollar check valve really isn’t the end of the world
Yep that’s what I said lol now I have 56,000 miles and working good
