I think it's actually not fair to compare her to Madonna. Madonna pushed the buttons for the sole purpose of shock value. Lady Gaga puts meaning behind her every move, every look, every expression and every lyric she writes. Gaga writes her own songs and she came from the underground cabaret performance scene in NY. Madonna had all the visuals but lacked the substance behind them while Gaga fills all that in. And at the end of the day Gaga is a much better singer than Madonna ever was even at her peak.
I lived in Puerto Vallarta a few months and was working at a restaurant my friend managed in the gay area there and we'd take turns playing music and my hot straight friend ended up falling in love with Gaga, he used to listen to mostly like rap/hip hop/trap kinda crap, so he'd thank me for introducing him to music he'd never been exposed to!
