Hey man. That's cool that you got to visit Cycle Breakers Records in Youngstown, Ohio. I work there when Adam and Dean, the owners, are in a pinch. I would have loved to have met you there. I have met you in like 2013 when I visited Permanent Records in L.A., I lived in Las Vegas 1996-2019, pretty much went to L.A. record shopping almost every summer. I moved back to my hometown of Youngstown in 2019. Anyway, very cool that you also got to meet Sonny, owner of Under Dog Records; he's a local legend. Pittsburgh is a great city, I haven't been there since my return. I used to frequent Jerry's Records in Squirrel Hill. I had that Exkursions record in my hands that you picked up, don't know why I passed on it? Glad that you brought back a few from Ytown. That KAK lp is outstanding. Nice! Have a great holiday. Peace.
I've hit Attic and Jerry's in Pittsburgh a few times. TONS of stuff to go through. My parents' house is in PA and I'm in Cleveland, so I'll try to tie in visits with travel. The freeways can be terrifying in certain spots there downtown, sheesh! My dad's side is all from Western PA and I have been exposed to Pittsburghese all my life (Yinz, Hoagies, Gum-Bands). I think the strange accent was created when Germans learned English from Scots rather than actual English and would put the normal beginning of a sentence...at the end. For example "Going to the store, are ya?" If you are a fan of the classic, "Dawn of the Dead", you gotta check out the Monroeville mall for all the filming locations. I need to check out those other stores you featured.
@7:45 This is a MASSIVE pet peeve of mine. Even if I have no interest in the record. I wish shop owners/employees would just stop doing this. I don't get it. You're in the business of selling used records. You're surrounded by unsealed records. Yet, you're playing something from your PC that isn't for sale. If someone where to wander into the store at that moment, wanting to purchase that record. Then to say "no" is just bad customer service. I feel like some shops should take the in-store music more serious. lol Obviously my take is meant in good faith.

Thanks for tuning in and for your thoughtful comment. I hope to meet you next time I’m in Youngstown as well!

Yinz are well versed!! Check out those other stores the next time you’re in Pittsburgh and let me know what you think!
💛Pittsburgh🖤
Many thanks to Cycle Breakers Records for keeping a few faces from melting slam off..
A true public service!
That Highway LP is a hard boner!!
What a shame it isn't more well known. Keep em coming surfer boy.
💯 🍆 🤙
Is Government Center named after the Modern Lovers song?
Absolutely! The owner is a big fan!
Impressive Pittsburgh knowledge for a west coaster 10/10. Vinyl man warehouse in Swissvale is a dirtbag record collector deep cut 🤌
Thank yinz! Black and yellow, all day. Jeet jet?
Didn't visit the Evans City Cemetary?
Night of the Living Dead....wink wink
I will when I’m dead. Are there records there? 😉
Come into Knowledge!

I agree completely. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have a feeling that we are not alone in this regard.
