Every time I took really strong acid I lost the ability to operate hi-fi's or records. I remember planning to listen to trippy music but it felt like trying to join Mensa making it happen lol.

As a little kid I was really scared of a few of my older brothers record covers. We would flick through them until we got to a scary one and then run off screaming. Butthole Surfers double live was one, we didn't realize it's a costume but one that really creeped me and my little pals out was Klaus Nomi lol. I'm 50 as of last week and I can see why he disturbed us. I also feel Klaus would be happy to know he scared the living crap out of us.

Ahaha dude, you’re so right when you said how if you go to an artists Spotify and look at their top five songs you see which albums are everyone’s fav, and if four are from one album (their best obviously) has one from a different album in between them it’s a signal that that other album is worthy because part of it has reached into the heights of their obvious good stuff

I live in England. I will unsubscribe if you mention being too hot again. I'm joking but try to imagine living in blah weather constantly. Everyday is never extremely bad and never extremely good which gets really old after 50 years of it.

I read only bad things over the years about Oar by Skip Spence but then listened online and bought it immediately. It's one of my favourites start to finish. I don't hear the mental unravelling during the album that always seems to come up in the music press. I have other albums by other artists where I agree the person was struggling mentally during the recording but I don't hear it on Oar. I know he was because of what happened but I find the album to be kind of joyous and full of excellent songs. I like your channel dude, I subbed and try to catch up whenever I get time. Thanks.

There is a great video on RUclips of songs for 18 musicians being performed live. They are very busy on that stage.

I prefer songs about cuddling but they are both great. Hammer Party is probably my favourite BB album but it's a comp so I guess it doesn't count but that's the one I play more often.

Great stuff, thanks for showing Lance. Great collection, my faves in this - the 3 US of A's an all time fave, along with the mother mallard portable masterpiece (great electronic lp), og mazzy and beck are cool too.

You and Vinyl Richie have talked about Big Black both today so now I must try them. But which album is for me?

Love the video, will look out for part 3 but have to disagree that 'a record collection without any Beatles is suss' - mine doesn't and it's over 1500 pieces and heavily curated - if I wanted to listen to Beatles (and I really don't most of the time) then I could always stream - I have no desire to sit down in front of a Beatles album. We all have different tastes

Great collection! I would like to see more like this. I work at a record store, part time to support my habit. But i love seeing whole collections, they are sometimes like works of art. You get to know someone intimately going through the records that they have enjoyed. Its an introverts way of knowing another peson. Thank you! ❤
