My GOD!!!! I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! I Am so jealous of your enthusiasm!!! I wish I would have opened a shop when I was young! You are so knowledgeable and smart as a business owner!!! I know you put in TONS of hours and love into this!! I wish you all the best!!
Thank you so much, Jeff! It’s a labor of love, but records have been very good to me! Getting comments like yours helps to keep my enthusiasm up and I really appreciate it!
I’ve been following you on IG but had no idea you were also here on YT! That’s so awesome! I subbed and liked! Glad I stumbled upon the channel! I have been getting into Krautrock over the past 3 years or so I’m def new to the genre. I look forward to checking out your other videos! Thanks a ton for sharing these awesome LPs! Howdy! We just started this channel last year so you haven't missed much! Thanks for following us on IG and for subscribing here too! Stay tuned for many more videos featuring all kinds of records. I'm a HUGE fan of Krautrock, so there will certainly be more of that too. Always stoked to share! Peace and love to you too, Cosmic Brian!
This is my new favorite channel on RUclips . Great records you show dude.btw I have and love the first 14 brown acid series lps..need to pick up the latest volumes..keep up the good work!
I went to Austria in December and when I could, I hit a few record stores in different cities. Most of them had a section actually called "Krautrock". I'm sure they are cool with it and are not offended. I was hunting Klaus Schulze records. I snagged a copy of Richard Schneider Jr. "Dreamlike Land". I NEVER see that record in the states.
Here's hoping no one is offended by my use of the term Krautrock. Nice score on the "Dreamlike Land" LP! Not only do we not see that one in the States, we rarely see it overseas. It's obviously desperately in need of an official reissue!
@@AndyMangele In WWII, the Austrians were combined with the Germans and were all "Krauts" to the American GI. I can see Austrians being like, "Hey we ain't Germans!" LOL.
About the Armand record you got there he is a Dutch artist , Hes a proper product from the hippie area in the 60's .... Ad Visser is also Dutch , he used to be the host on the Dutch version of top of the pops called Toppop , they had the biggest artist's on their stage , you can find a lot still on RUclips Great channel you got 👍
Thank you for sharing this information with us! I'm stoked to listen to that Armand record. That explains why the Ad Visser record is so much more common over there than it is Stateside. Stoked to watch some Toppop now too! So much great Dutch music, so little time! Cheers!
I think we could all do a little better to try not to offend each other. If people are offended by the word Krautrock, we can all collectively agree to use the alternative moniker...Kosmiche Musik!
Please follow us on Instagram @permanentrecordsla to see these and ALL of the records we have for sale! You can purchase them there too!
Rue de la Pech is a combination of French and Dutch. It translates to Road of Misfortune.
Good to know! You learn something new every day!

Love the vinyl update! I thought you were cutting down 😂
I have an original “too low for zero” and it’s a really great record!
Never cutting down at the shop! Always buying good records!

Hardly surprising - since the term "Krauts" refers to Germans, not to Austrians.

@@Diabolik771 Yeah, well - but I assume you've been to Austria rather recently and not in WWII. 🤣
They’re cool records as long as you have a Euro cartridge that can handle the wider gage grooves.
They play well on my turntable!
The dutch band brainbox featured jan akkerman, the guitarist who later became worldfamous in the band focus
Thank you for commenting with that information!
Have you tried Svenska Dansbanden? Or German Schläger-records featuring Wenche Myhre??
I can't say that we've ever bought either, but we'll keep our eyes peeled for both on our next trip!
thanks for sharing
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!

Nah, I think the Germans have embraced the term Krautrock. I know Germans that use it also lovingly.
That’s great to know. Makes me feel a lot better about using the term for the genre.
I'm a german and I can confirm: Krautrock is not a Schimpfwort here. It's recognized as a legitimate music genre just like everywhere else.
😅 glad to hear I’m not using verboten language!
Lance question: what happens when you drink too much water?
Answer: European
Dad jokes all day, along with cool records
😂 Thanks for the comic relief and the compliment!
canned heat , big brother , zappa , bring it . a.c.l.p.
Always trying to bring it! Thanks for tuning in!
Ad Visser is so bad it is essential........... ''giddy up a gogo'', what a track!
Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder ;) It's a doozie!
Dude if you stop using words because someone might find them offensive, you'll eventually run out of words to use.
