great video and truth about glass. Other thing is anyone doing glass should do a ramp test with a piece of glass to find out where their omni 1 focus range exist for typical glass. It will change but I found I had to lower head by 3mm to put me in the middle of the focus range for working with glass. Glad your rotary is working. Mine was dead on arrival and really hate how the connectors are bent below the top plate. Question: what did you use over the teeth of your chucks.... Cut rubber pipe?
Hey Matt, arent the UV-Lasers in an enclosement? What when there are multiple people in the room? I read in a book that one would need a special outfit covering the whole body to run these. You use it without much protection, are you safe? What about the air quality? Is it better as if running a C02 Laser?
Thanks for the update. I previewed 1 1/4" wide by 2 1/2" 3 word engrave using the jig that you have. About 3 minutes to engrave. Using the settings that you showed with wobble Well over an hr. ???? what am I missing
Great video, Matt. Awesome tips, as always 👍 I have a short video on my channel doing a tumbler using the Omni 1. Someone asked for settings in the comments. If needed, you'll find them there

Make a video for pints.
thanks so much!! its also super nice on ceramic mugs :)))
You should look into the Maxce linear rail that can run multiple items at once, so that you're not at the laser as much.
Hey have you or can you engrave a leatherette duster/koozie on the uv.....

Just rechecked the time 43 min
Any thoughts?
Did you raise the speed and take hatch off?
1600, hatch off wobble 1 hr 6 min, no wobble 2.45 min
@TTC1940
Something is off how many passes
Those look like SamCraft jigs? I just need to convince our makerspace to get a UV laser to go with the CO2s and the fiber 🙂
