Can't beat getting out for a scratch about , if you get something you get something, if you don't well you don't, but letting the dogs do there thing. Great stuff. 👌👍
Lovely to see Sealyhams as well!. They're one of the oldest working breeds in the world. They're still very popular choices for rabbiters. All terriers are very determined, hard working dogs. Great to see them in action!.
Isn't it just, I really have no problem with this kind of hunting. I am opposed to illegal hunting like foxhunting (with hounds), stag hunting, poaching and hare coursing, but this kind of hunting is fine. It's legal, it's great for the dogs and it does a service for farmers without causing damage to their land like foxhunts often do. This isn't being done for sport, this is being done for pest control, big difference. Sealyhams as well, one of the oldest working breeds in the world, great to see them in action!.
Lovely to see the JRTs and working Sealyhams!. They can't half shift as well, most people think terriers are slow, but they are not and they are among the most loyal, hard working dogs anyone could possibly own. These are also some of the oldest working breeds in the world, JRT, Sealyham, Saluki and Whippet have been doing these kinds of jobs alongside humans for hundreds of years. Very versatile breeds as well. Great video, thank you!.
Fun viewing this video . I love watching dogs work and this is very different to how we hunt rabbits here in the United States, where we use beagle hounds . Personaly I do more squirrel hunting and use Feist dogs used for treeing game. Thank you for sharing.
They're better for flushing to guns or to other dogs. Very hard working dogs Sealyhams are, very loyal as well. They make great workers and great pets providing the owner has the time to give them the freedom they need.
Just an observation from someone with 45yrs experiance. Your skidding or hissing them on far too much too often often. you will just over excite the dogs and they will run around like headless chickens missing the rabbits and will keep looking at you for struction. Just let them work. Try it before replying. Look nice dogs though.
Total agree I've had terriers 45years also and yes just let them work.also encourages problems.bit of fun for them.but use to do this type of hunting at about 13years old.but like hunting on my own..to noisy for me.. everyone to there own..good hunting
Hello just to confirm, its still legal to hunt with Dogs as long as you're using them to flush the animals and not intentionnally allowing them to kill, right?
Great to see some Sealyhams out working. We have one but they aren't a popular breed and are getting very rare now. Such a shame because they don't moult, great family dogs and no real health issues compared to many breeds.
Enjoyed watching the dogs works cha, all of them, in their element and loving it. It's a pitty that our way of living and enjoying hunting etc is just being forced out as anti "everything ". I've grown up hunting fishing, career as a game keeper. Now I'm afraid to take a dog out with a cpl of snares, nets an a cpl ferrets. PC plod willprobably throw me in jail because I have a lock knife on me, purely for the hunt but in their eyes I'm a serial killer etc. Worlds gone nutts, anything they can do to take more of our liberty away they will, our dogs, our tools, our weapons, our freedom via time were aloud out. This country is a gulag, might aswell put a dummy in your mouth and say feed me to the gov. We are 100% not free.
well seems to be fair enough, 5 dogs is it against a rabbit. and the result is dead wildlife. guys you do all your shopping at the local pie shop and supermarket do you really need to kill for pleasure.
@@CountvonCount33 please indulge me and lift the veil of ignorance. justify your cruel killing of an innocent animal by a pack of dogs without any real justifiable reason other than wanton slaughter for no other reason than your personal gratification. if i have to explain how wrong your actions are you wouldn`t understand. people that are cruel to animals can never claim to be good people.
Have to love the terriers, little dog, huge heart. Nothing better than a day in the field. Such a great location as well!

Lots of fun but a good way of ruining a retrieving lurcher & rabbits mostly only fit for dog food & not for the kitchen table.
