My hubby made a hole in the bottom with his drill then I used a pliers to pull out the bottom. This way ALL the powder came out. And I stored in a bag. I also used the lids of the bottle and the little brush . I put a little of my finished mixture in the lid and used the little brush to touch up edges of my flowers...this way I make use of everything
Do you think if I used an alcohol and hairspray mixture rather than water that it would last well on holiday decor? I used to buy an aerosol spray glitter but it is either entirely missing or hideously expensive.
This is an amazing tutorial.🤩🤩
So going to dollar tree tomorrow to get some of these make my own shimmer spray.🤩🤩
Thank you for your video. I appreciate being able to learn how to make the glimmer mists. It has gotten ridiculously expensive to purchase.
Glad it was helpful!
Could this spray be used for shirts?
Sure! If you wash the shirt the glitter particles will come off. and probably go everywhere
Thank you for this, I like how you also tried to rub it off, very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
You could use your stirring stick to get the glimmer in the spray bottle.
good idea
I also understand you can use rubbing alcohol to make glimmer mists. Just alcohol and your mica powder.
I will have to try it, but I am not sure that it will stick long term?

Great tip!
You really should make a video of that
This is soo helpful. Thank you for sharing ❤
You are welcome
I would’ve used the stir stick. He had to take out the powder and put it in the bottle.

Yes that would work
Can’t wait to try this.
I think you will like it. I have made additional colors and they all work well.
Would this work on clothes too? I’d imagine it might wash out and get everything in the wash with it glittery.
I agree. It is make-up and I imagine it would wash out.
Hi, love your channel, as I understand the recipe doesn’t call for water but rubbing alcohol 90% or better, and hair spray
That would work as well. The hairspray has alcohol in it
Hi where did you buy the bead and what is exactly because I like to try this?
It was just a generic glass bead I had from a set of beads. I probably bought at the craft store - Michael’s maybe.
@@Tryit-likeit THANK YOU!
I’m so trying this thank you for the great vid lots of tips !
I am glad you liked it, I will share that the water does evaporate from these bottles. So over time you will have to refill them.
Do you know if you could use regular glitter powder? I already have a bunch
I think it would clog the nozzle
I’ve tired making this shimmer mist you can see the shimmer but, you can’t barely see the color. What can I add to show the color more????
A shimmer mist is just that shimmer, but if you want color too you can add acrylic paint.
@@Tryit-likeit The acrylic paint isn't too thick???
@@stephaniestorey6672 with the water added it should be fine

I don't know why I can't share this link but if you search my channel for DIY spray paint, there is a short video
I don't cut my straws or pump ones off and they work fine with the mica powder
The mica powder CAN clog the straw. I have always been told to cut them. It makes sense but I am glad yours work for you.
Will this afix to fabric?
I believe it would be temporary and wash away when laundered,
Very helpful! But I don't understand if you use regular hairspray or some kind of gel type hairspray. Thanks!
I use regular liquid cheap hairspray.
Can we spray it on skin ? Or hair ?
Thanks
yes - ingredients: water, hairspray, eye makeup
Is it okAy if we spray it on the dress?
I suppose it would be ok. It will wash away in the laundry.
Can i use makeup setting spray instead of hair spray?
if it is sticky it would work
Thanks!
Welcome!
You can pry the bottom of the eye shadow container off and just dump it out MUCH more easily than trying to shake it out of the top.
yes! I am wondering if you can put the bottom back on easily?
I doubt that you would be able to put the bottom back on but I used all of the eyeshadow on one batch
Whats about you mix in spray ?
Sorry, I am not sure how to answer your question. Can you provide more detail to what you want to know?
The top of the eyeshadow with the brush slot will lift off.
thank you, good to know.
Why are you cutting it from the bottom ?
You don’t want it to touch the bottom of the bottle and get clogged when the mica settles
can someone answer me asap huhu does this stick to fabric?
I imagine it would but it would more than likely wash out in the laundry
use the spoon
