+Super Scooter Guy Yeah, I've noticed there's not much available. If you ever have any requests, feel free to suggest a video topic. I watch all of your videos and have enjoyed them. Motovlogging is something I've wanted to get into but I don't have a decent camera. I'd be interested in you doing a video on your camera setup and how you do it. Thanks for watching.
I have a spare set of stock rollers for my scoot that I'm going to put in when needed. I have heard that sliders cause cause issues, so much so that Dr Pulley pulled their version for the Xciting 500. Thanks for watching. Safe Scooting.
Did the battery upgrade solve your starting issue? Or was it something deeper like say the rectifier or stator? And your choice of the Shorai over the other lithium manufacturers was based on?
In the short term it has solved the issue. Fall is coming soon and winter after that so that will tell the real story. I'll post when I get the results but my feeling is that it won't once the temps get into the 40'sF. I think there is just too much draw for any battery to compensate in cold temps. Time will tell though. I picked Shorai based on consumer reviews and my own research. It was either them or Battery Tender. I ordered from Revzilla.com but in hindsight I would spend the extra cash to make sure I got a fresh one directly from the manufacturer. Thanks for watching and be sure and check out my other videos. If you like click an advertisement and help me out in a small way.
hello ,name is pete from Detroit area. I have a 2009 xciting 500 ri .....same problem. if its under 45 degrees, forget about it. Bought it new in 2010 only has 6,000 miles on it now. if its 50 plus,no problem ever....Please keep me informed as to your solution. Ive written Kymco, dealer several times, it just sucks that I have to accept this.
+p tam The Lithium battery seemed to have helped but it is warming up now and I haven't had any problems. When I was shopping around for batteries, the Interstate Battery dealer told me the best thing you can do for a battery is keep it on a battery tender year round. I kept my KYMCO Super8 150 on a tender all winter and started it every 2 weeks, no problems. Thanks for watching and yes, I'll try and remember to update this fall when the weather gets colder. Check out kymcoforum.com, a great resource.
I am so hyped that you have an Xciting. I feel like I am the only one with English videos on this awesome bike.
