Suggestion - to the right of the refrigerator you have room for a rolling pantry. Inside the rolling pantry you could even make a space for a swiffer type mop and or stick vacuum ( I saw this on another tiny house) I like the attitude of gratitude this couple shows for tiny living and I appreciate that they could pay off their debt/student loans quickly too.😊

I love these gooseneck trailers as tiny homes because of the ability shown here to stand up in the bedroom area. This build in particular is very nice!
Jack’s so funny with her warm smiles❤ I like their telling us the money involved in the beginning. “The best commute” is home office. “I’m not Marie Kando, I’m just good at hiding stuff!” Outsource laundry, living inside before buying furniture, dishwasher, quartz countertop are all great ideas! Of course, 14’ ceiling is a PLUS! Golden phrase: I don’t need anything more than what a tiny house provides.

As a retired teacher, I’m glad I never went down this road. Something very wrong with “the American dream” lifestyle.

How on earth do they watch the tv at that angle?
They watch on projector upstairs. Downstairs they use as a digital art exhibit and for ambiance. The chair is normally pushed back to allow for watching. It was positioned close to the TV to show path to home office area.

You have a beautiful tiny home... You could add a floating shelf above your kitchen window for more food store space( left of sink)

You could add a pull out pantry next to the refrigerator. Even a skinny one holds an amazing amount of food and it's easy to get to.

If you need more food storage, you could put a double cabinet up over your windows in the kitchen. If it wasn’t too deep, it could still hold a lot of food, but not give the appearance of making it cluttered or claustrophobic. I say that as a claustrophobe myself. Good luck to you! 8:26
Itt always makes me feel more convinced that someday in the future I will go tiny. I really want to put my tiny on my own land with an awesome view. So far all my dreams have come true, so I guess I will wait for my tiny dream to happen someday 😊
@j.v.4298 Please don't wait for "someday"!! It's NOT a day of the week and you will ALWAYS be waiting. If you truly want to go tiny then set a date that you want to be in your own tiny home. Do the research of what your priorities are, whether a traditional tiny home that CAN have ceilings where you can stand up fully (provided you are under 7ft tall). I just learned that fourteen feet tall is as tall as you can go without special permits. Design your layout including your must haves. The first hundred or so videos I watched they were so tiny they barely had a kitchen. And they certainly didn't have normal size anything, stove, fridge etc. clear down to kitchen and bathroom sinks so small there was really nothing practical about them. So imagine my joy at finding tiny homes that live big, that you can have a normal set of stairs, that you can stand up in the loft by having 7ft ceilings on both floors, and with dormers on both sides, the length of the loft, you have room to get around the bed with space for night stands, walking and dressing. There are tiny homes with moveable islands with storage you have a workhorse of an island that can do duty as a prep space, an eating space. Move it to become a bar space or place for dishes when hosting a potluck etc. By making your tiny house be 14-15ft wide it adds a ton of designing options that you can't fit into the more normal 12 ft wide. Of course what I am talking about is mostly for a tiny that you will park on land somewhere and not be moving it all over. But even in skoolies or say gooseneck fifth wheels it's amazing what you can have if you want to go tiny and travel. So please start today on your dream, put down everything you want and need to be happy living tiny, date WHEN you want it, then just release it to the universe. You will be amazed at what happens next.

Just a head's up,
in case someone does not know,
you should never store medications
in a washroom that has a tub/shower.
The moisture & heat can
cause medications to expire faster,
and/or become less potent.

Hope!!! Thanks my husband is 6'7" and has back issues. I have seen countless videos and some models and none of them would accommodate his height and desire to have space for a second room for our children to visit! The 8'ceiling in an upstairs room with another room downstairs for us would be perfect!

So we lived in a camper for many months. We used a rolling cart for food. We didn't think it would hold as much as it did. We were definitely surprised with it. We had a place for it though. Not sure if that would work for you but it gives you an idea.

Very nice. In your storage space you could put some of your attic stuff there and make a pantry in your attic space. Also how much do you spend on electricity and Wi-Fi? Also how much is your laundry 🧺 service monthly?

I love that kitchen. It feels-looks big and open, and looks comfortable to operate in. Deficient storage would drive me crazy, too. As another commenter imagined, all I can think of is adding open shelving above the kitchen window. Maybe you could raise the height of the two existing open shelves 2 or 3 inches, so that the upper one could be extended to the length of the kitchen window. Putting some of your pretty cups/dishes above the kitchen window, or some staple ingredients in big glass mason jars, could lend some extra space in the cabinets.
Or! Maybe a shallow cabinet (like 5-7" deep) matching the existing cabinet's style above the kitchen window, matching the color of the wall. Being shallow and the same color as the wall would help prevent it from taking up too much visual space, but it would probably yield a lot of effective pantry storage for things like peanut butter jars, boxed things, etc.!

❤️ what you've done. Do you mind me asking what both of your careers are? How many tiny home communities exist in milder weather areas? Where we live in the Midwest with colder winters, many cities do not allow these as an accessory detached until on lots with a primary dwelling, so location ordinances are key. That said, I love it and admire the commitment to do what's needed to live responsibly and what one can afford to pay off their debt vs. the mindset we hear about lately of school debt forgiveness. We all get to choose and live accordingly to that. Continued blessings!
