The Puerto Ricans not discriminate, we accept African American, Asians and other religions Muslins, African Religions, Buddhists etc. When they enter the military, their best or most accepted friends are African Americans. They listen to Jazz Music, Southern Food. Recently, a law was passed on non-discrimination based on hairstyle in jobs(such as braids, afrosheens, and color hair.(blue, fushia, green etc).

I'm from Puerto Rico and from a trip a couple years ago was my first time in about 40 years. We returned just a week ago and EVERY TIME I go I am THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED with my PATRIA!! Sometimes I wish I lived there. So is SO MUCH to do and see. With GOD'S Grace and Mercy, I will continue to keep going back. Check out Bad Bunny Beach, Fajardo, Utuado, Guavate (Lechón Asado).

It’s good to know that you’ve always considered yourself to have purpose, and that it’s paying off now in the form of being recognized for your humanity. The camera not withstanding, I’d like to think that the youth would have given you the same reaction because in PR, although they’ve been through their fair share of suffering/resistance(530 plus years of being a colony): the youth tends to be friendly/welcoming, curious, vibrant, wholesome, but they’re not naive.
Anyway, I’m sure there’s a lot of content you can share which could help to broaden people’s horizons - even locals. For instance, I’m from NYC and I’ve never been to the Empire State Building, Broadway shows(maybe one in school or off-Broadway?), or just explored NYC like that… Whatever the case is, the people are taking you at face value - which is cool. Hey Trill, you asked for cities that you should visit next. In all honesty all 78 municipalities of Puerto Rico have their own reasons to visit. Each one is unique in its own way. Slowly but surely I think you should visit them all. By the way thanks for sharing your experiences with us. My parents are from Puerto Rico. I was born and raised in The Bronx (New York) but my parents took us (my sisters and I ) to visit Puerto Rico almost every summer. As an adult I’ve only gone a handful of times. I’m dying to get back. I’ve been having the urge to move there ever since I came back from a trip there 3yrs ago.

We welcome anyone who wants to come to our beautiful PR to enjoy our island as long as they keep it, clean and free of graffiti and vandalism lately we have been noticing a lot of that going on all over PR and we are not happy with the situation. Not so long ago the police had to remove a few foreigners that came to PR to vacation and these people destroy a few of our Airbnbs. And they had to be removed from these places by force. The government needs to put a stop to this vandalism and bring the beauty and the cleanliness back to our island we want to keep our island the way it has always been beautiful, peaceful, clean and free of graffiti. There are many foreigners who come to our country to help with its economy, And beauty but other foreigners come here to vandalize our island and we are not happy with that. 😡
