Hey! Don’t worry about it. The only way to make it drop less would be to use your phone less, which defeats the purpose! If you’re in a hot environment, it’ll degrade faster. But you can always have Apple put in a new battery once it hits around 80%. Don’t worry about it! All batteries degrade over time.
Hi thanks for the tips. is it okay to use the phone while charging? is there any effect in the battery performance or is it dangerous for preserving the battery life?

If the charge isn’t getting you a full day or as long as you’d like, if it’s worth it you can get a new battery for 90$ I think from Apple. Might be a little less I’m not sure. 80% after 2 years is considered normal
iTouchAppReviewers Damn well my 6 Plus is at 85% battery health after 4 years with heavy use daily! Upgraded to the 11 yesterday though and this video is very helpful thank you!

Neil Cañedo the only way to make it not go down as fast is to use the phone less. But that’s dumb. Use it how you want, you’re on track for about 80% after 2 years which is what Apple says is normal
Which charger is better for battery life? The 5w charger which was on the box or the fast chargers? Or this doesn't matter at all? I get i phone 11 today and i want the best health battery!
I don’t think so, but I don’t use those apps so I’m not sure how they’re programmed to track in the background. I think it would be okay but you might want to do a test run and check
Is it okay to use the phone while its charging? Would you recommend setting my phone on Low Power Mode when I charge it? Please advise me. I have my iPhone 11 Pro Max with me since September and its battery life is at 96% already.
Yes it’s ok to use while charging. No I don’t recommend charging on Low Power mode (no point). If you’re at 96% already chances are you cycle the battery (aka charge it) a lot. That could be for many reasons. Using it a lot. Intensive apps like Snapchat. Living in a hot environment etc. it happens. Batteries degrade. The best thing to do is just take care of the phone (don’t leave it in direct sunlight etc) but also use it how u want. You spent a lot of money on that phone. Use it how you want. Batteries will always degrade and can always be replaced :)
@@Slimothy Thanks for the response. It means a lot to me. May I ask one last question? Why is it when I'm at 80% the charging takes too long before it gets to 81%? I'd apreciate it if you can explain to me the reason behind it. Thanks ahead.
Sittie Ayna hey! That’s a great question. So from 0-80% your phone actually charges very quickly. This is completely normal. Once it hits 80% though, it “trickle charges” and charges slower from 80% to 100%. This puts less stress on the battery and helps increase the longevity of it. If you notice it get extremely slow sometimes it’s just a software glitch and can be fixed by just rebooting the phone (which I recommend doing around once a week). But yeah, from 80 to 100% is usually much slower.
Thanks for these tips and your other informative videos. I have a question that I don't find much info on. How can I best prolong the *LIFE* of my battery. I know Apple has the new OPTIMIZE BATTERY CHARGING feature which limits max charging based on machine learning. But in the day to day, what is the best methodology for charing a phone so that you're not stressing the battery? I hear claims to only charge it when it hits 20%, load it up to 80%, and don't keep it charging while it is at 100%. Thoughts?
Technically speaking 40-60% at all times is the sweet spot. Unfortunately that’s nearly impossible. I let mine run down to around 30-40% and then I plug it in till it’s 100%. That usually happens between 1-8PM somewhere in there. Then from 8-midnight I use it as normal. Then overnight I plug it in and leave it plugged in overnight. My battery health is still 100% and I think this is a good way to do it. I turned off optimized charging. Not my thing. You can also get a smart outlet like I have. So overnight it turns off around 4AM once I know my phone is full. Then turns back on around 6 to make sure it’s topped off when I wake up. I’ll prolly make a video going over this soon.
Yeah it's hard to find good information on it. But just remember that batteries are consumables and they do degrade with time even if you take perfect care of them. You can always get Apple to replace just the battery for around 50-60 bucks in most cases. Sometimes more, sometimes less. But yeah that is a good video idea I'll try to make that soon!
Great tips I’ve used everything to save battery. I just need to get off my damn phone more often. Nothing is gonna save your battery if you’re on it 10 hours a day 😂
Hey I addressed this in the video if you watch the whole thing. Nothing to worry about. If you implement all the tips in this video it’ll decrease slower. The only way to make it go up is to get a new battery but that’s not bad. 80% after 2 years is normal
Ronald Putra Thanks! I was kinda surprised it didn't go down since I began charging while using my phone a lot when I hit the third year mark, but I do use MFI products so I guess that's what really kept my phone going.
Hello Please Help me 😭 I bought iPhone 11 2 days ago, the problem is that when I use my phone with WiFi, Mobile or even without mobile dat, it reduces the battery percentage 1% after every 4 to 5 minutes, but battery health is 100%. Please reply me and tell me the solution.
@@Slimothy Hey man I updated my phone to iOS 13.6.1 latest version, after updating my phone's battery is so good, I'm happy but surprised, shocked as well that how it worked for me!? But moreover thanks for your help as well ❤️🙏
Heyy can I ask u question! What do u think is the ideal range of charging? I’ve heard that the sweet spot is between 30 to 80% or similar to that and u shouldn’t be charging it to 100% , just take it till 80% and use it. Is this true
Hey! Great question. I actually just filmed an updated battery tips video yesterday (it won’t be up for a few days though, editing takes a while!). In it I mentioned this, so basically, if you want to be “ideal”, you will charge your phone in between 40% and 60%. Obviously, this is a huge burden and not worth the benefits for basically anyone. The next best thing is to keep your phone between 30-80 or 20-80. This still is difficult a lot of times. But it is better. The worst is letting your battery go down to below 20% and then charging it back up to 100%. That puts a decent amount of stress on the battery. If you do it everyday, your phone’s battery will slowly degrade. For me, I keep my phone topped up throughout the day. It’s also not “ideal” to keep your phone at 100% as that is a high state of stress for the battery, but hey, I want my phone to work and have juice when I need it. So I plug in anytime I drop below 90% honestly. I use it while plugged in. And I try not to let mine drop below 20% very often. Maybe once a month I’ll drain to 2% and then charge up to 100% just to “re calibrate” a little. So yeah, moral of the story is keep it above 20% most of the time and you should be just fine. But you paid good money for your phone so use it how you like. Batteries can always be replaced! Hope this helped. 👍🏻
I bought my iPhone 11 Pro in February and now my battery capacity is 91% I’m using the charger that came along with it which is the fast one I believe it harmed my iphone now it takes an hour and 30 mins to fully charge :( I followed all your tips in the video but I want to ask when should I charge my phone like should I wait until it’s less than 5%? I try to charge it once a day only is that bad? also I’m panicking bc I had my iPhone 7 for 3 years but this one is going down very fast in less than a year .
You’re probably just using this phone way more. It’s best to always keep the charge between 40-60%. But no one can feasibly do that so charge it whenever is convenient for you. I keep mine plugged in whenever I can just for convenience. Dropping below 20% and then charging up to 100 can cause strain on the battery so best not to do that everyday. I drop mine to 1-5% once a month to recalibrate it. That’s about it. Otherwise it’s usually above 40% for me.
Wonderfully explained... My ipad mini 5 bought in March 2020... Just a month old... doesn't charges above 80%when charged in afternoon... In morning I use all 100%... Then I charge at 4.. to 5 pm in the evening ... But it only charges to 80%and doesn't charges above 80% ... But in early morning when I charge it charges 100%... Why is it so that it charges 100% early morning and doesn't charges above 80% in the evening time... 🧐🤔 Pls help 🙏 using original charger... I often used charging while playing pubg game. In order to not let battery die quickly...
Do you have Optimized Battery Charging turned on? If you go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health check. It sounds like it’s on. Maybe if u turn that off it’ll go up to 100% each time
Nope! Not bad at all. If that’s how often you have to do it, then that’s just how it is. 20-80 is a lot less stressful than 0-100 on the battery too. Ideally 40-60 is the sweet spot but NO ONE has time to be monitoring their battery like that. I charge literally whenever I feel like it. I don’t even worry about it much anymore.
Hahaha don’t worry. I used to be the same. Honestly I’m anxious about my battery for the first 6 months. Then I loosen up a bit. It’s just a battery. Can always be replaced. Not a huge deal. May as well use the phone how we want :)

My iPhone 11s battery health is now 94% after 5months is it normal? Or what should I do for it not to go down fast?
Neil Cañedo the only way to make it not go down as fast is to use the phone less. But that’s dumb. Use it how you want, you’re on track for about 80% after 2 years which is what Apple says is normal
iTouchAppReviewers okay thank you for responding.
Which charger is better for battery life? The 5w charger which was on the box or the fast chargers? Or this doesn't matter at all? I get i phone 11 today and i want the best health battery!
Technically the 5w will generate less heat and will help the battery stay strong for longer. I only fast charge when I have to :)
@@Slimothy thanks mate!! Health and greetings from Greece!!
@@georgelianakis205 No problem man stay healthy!
I like my brightness very low
Can anyone explain why when i updated my ios my battery health went from 100 to 98
Yup! It recalibrated to be accurate that’s all
And can i use my phone while charging?
Yes
@@Slimothy is it good for the battery ?
If it’s getting hot, no. If it’s not, then it’s fine for battery
Is it good to use fast charging all the time ? I used the 20w brick from Apple with the usb c cable
If optimized battery charging is on it’s fine
Wouldn’t setting auto lock to 30 secs save more battery ? Why five minutes ?
Check the other comments I replied to about this lmao
Exactly what I said ?🤔🤦🏾♂️
Why does it say underneath the Auto-Brightness toggle “Turning off Auto-Brightness may affect battery life or long-term display performance” ?
If you keep your brightness high all the time AB will help your battery life. Otherwise, it can actually hurt it.
Damn i was wondering how can i get rid of that WiFi and Bluetooth issue for so long. Thanks a ton man

Hey so I drive for DoorDash and other apps. Would background refresh mess that up?
I don’t think so, but I don’t use those apps so I’m not sure how they’re programmed to track in the background. I think it would be okay but you might want to do a test run and check
Hey if I use low power mode 24/7 does it harm my battery or my battery health?
Probably not but I wouldn’t do that. It throttles the phone that you paid good money for! Lol
Ok thanks it’s because I had my 11 pro for 9 months and its still at 100 capacity just want to take care of it, Your the best.
Awesome :) enjoy that iPhone!
Thanks😄
Who is watching this vdo just because you are getting your phone soon
Can i please ask how long does your iphone battery last?
Depends on the day and what I’m doing. Average probably 8 hours on screen on a medium day?
@@SlimothyNow I know. Thanks a lot for the knowledge. This is a huge help for me. Keep making great videos. 👏👏👏
Thanks :)
When should I charge my phone when it’s at 20 percent or lower should I charge my phone to 80 percent Aswell
I try not to let my phone dip below 30%. I plug it in all the way to 100% before that happens usually
iTouchAppReviewers does it matter if it goes too 100 or is it ok as long as I take it out straight away
The iPhone will automatically limit it from overcharging. So it's okay to leave it at 100% overnight if you need to
Thanks for these tips and your other informative videos.
@@Slimothy - that would be great. There are so many conflicting recommendations about the best method, I wish things were more clear. Thanks!
@@Slimothy - thanks for the feedback. I want to make my 11 last, so don't want to engage in bad charging habits if possible.
Nothing is gonna save your battery if you’re on it 10 hours a day 😂
Hahahaha that’s a fact 😂👍🏻
Will this affect how to phone functions? Like the gps or cellular data?
Nope
Hello I brought my iphone 11 1 month ago and my battery health has already decreased to 97%. What do I do?
Hey I addressed this in the video if you watch the whole thing. Nothing to worry about. If you implement all the tips in this video it’ll decrease slower. The only way to make it go up is to get a new battery but that’s not bad. 80% after 2 years is normal
i just got my iphone 11 and this phone is a beast

I've had my iPhone 6 for three years and my battery capacity is at 87%. Is that alright?
That’s crazy good for 3 years!
Yo 3 years is a long time u did a great job gurl
Ronald Putra Thanks! I was kinda surprised it didn't go down since I began charging while using my phone a lot when I hit the third year mark, but I do use MFI products so I guess that's what really kept my phone going.
iTouchAppReviewers I followed your video from my phone. It’s helping me a lot. Thanks for the help.
Hello Please Help me 😭
I bought iPhone 11 2 days ago, the problem is that when I use my phone with WiFi, Mobile or even without mobile dat, it reduces the battery percentage 1% after every 4 to 5 minutes, but battery health is 100%.
Please reply me and tell me the solution.
send the phone back, it's apples fault not yours
Nah, it’s prolly indexing files. Apple won’t take that back without a lot of diagnostics. Not worth the time.

You’re most welcome man. Enjoy :)
3:54 it says that turning off auto brightness affects battery life
Yeah. In a good way if you manage it right.
Manage in what way?
Please explain
If you keep it low like how I demonstrated you’ll be better off than auto brightness
@@Slimothy ohh okay I get it now. Yeah this really helped. Thanks for replying btw! I really appreciate it

Is it okay to charge your iPhone 11 in the night though?
shreyas nathala yes
Maybe if u turn that off it’ll go up to 100% each time
@@Slimothy ipad mini 5 doesn't have that option...
What iOS version are you on?
iOS 13.3.1
Interesting. I recommend updating to 13.4.1 and see if that fixes
Is it bad to charge your phone twice a day 20-80%?
I don’t even worry about it much anymore.
iTouchAppReviewers thank you!!! Im just stressed lol of ruining my phone
Hahaha don’t worry. I used to be the same. Honestly I’m anxious about my battery for the first 6 months. Then I loosen up a bit. It’s just a battery. Can always be replaced. Not a huge deal. May as well use the phone how we want :)
