I taught myself how to recone 9 years ago due to i couldnt afford shipping......i recone like clock work this point.....the more you do it the easier it gets

Never ever bent the surround upwards again... NEVER. Its really bad for the surround and it can make weak spots. For the rest u did do well.
The 12s and smaller you have to. The leads get connected to the terminal that is in the spoke of the frame. This is how its done.
You make it look easy . But if I did it I would be pissed if it came out wrong. If I ever needed to. Bro I was going to upgrade my 2 x8v3 for some xv3 10 or 12s . What do you think about the zv6 . I saw one guy on RUclips that blew up a zv6 . So I'm leaning towards the xv3 10 or 12. I'm not sure if the 10 will do as good as a 12 or should I go bigger. I have 3 row Tahoe. Was trying to keep the 3rd row. But if I have to remove the 3rd seat then I don't know what to go with . 15 , 18 not sure also xv3 or zv6 or nsv5. Damn but truly all are expensive.
When in ready to upgrade it will be xv3 or zv6 they are both nice subs but i love my Xs for low lows but them zv6 are stout an can do work aswell lol

@@superior3384 can have both with a 4th order box. Your box is the most important part. Always have your box made by someone been doing it for a while. Electrical is also very important. You can't skimp on your power. Don't matter what subwoofer you have. It better be seeing good power and better have a a-1 box.
Is it me or the X 15 get stinky ? I just made the switch to sundown and wasn't expecting these sundowns from smelling. Its not like a burning smell but a stinky smell I was told its excess glue from the coils thoughts ?
Ive always thought it was the glue aswell ive never had an issue with it ive played mine until they smoke a few times an they keep going 🤷♂️

I'm trynna order a recone for my x12 v2 om d4s but how do ik of my spacer is metal or plastic?
It sits above the motor on the subs just check if its plastic it will be a v1-rev2 like the one in the video...if its a metal spacers its a xv2....also i believe motors on the xv2s are etched on the bottom it will say xv2 if it is one
What is the spray you used? Also what is it used for?
Starbond ca glue... just holds the sub together super strong glue

I do car audio in my room and this guy wanted my SUNDOWN audio SA-V2-12S he would trade his xv3 that needs a recone so it looks like youers in the beginning ahould i make the trade ? And recone myself
Xv3s are nice subs forsure but the sa v2s are always a classic cant go wrong with either....the xv3 will be better on the low end most likely as the sa is more geared for higher an mid range even tho they can play the plays aswell like i saod both super solid setups
