indeed we do. They are the band that got me over the hurdle of being capable of listening to music with screams/growls. I was obsessed with you come before you when I was in like, 7th grade. I met Jeff at 2 different shows. Each time, he was so chill and easy to talk to, and happy to talk to me and whichever friend(s) were with me at the time(s). I mean, it helps when you as a fan are chill af and see and treat people in bands as a fellow normal human (while also respecting their creative works). And like, despite being a teenager I'd already managed to play shows with other bands I looked up to, and had tons of friends in bands or photography/promotional media production @ events, merch design, etc. Was weird though, like we just kinda ended up in the same place at the same time and talking about random topics both times. I think one time we were talking about horror films at robot moshfest. And the previous time would've been in Madison, WI @ the Loft, can't remember the rest of the show, perhaps It Dies Today and Haste The Day were on that one? Not really sure. Looks like there was a show in 2009, at Majestic Theater in Madison but I missed it, didn't even know it existed until just now -- that was an incredibly busy time @ college taking interim pre-summer session AND summer classes.
Why do your eyes paralyze me What makes me feel this way Just carry me away with silence and heartbeats As rapid thinking about your embrace And how it makes me feel I just want to feel this way forever Sleep on portraits painted as perfect as you Why have I been given the chance to fly When I'm not with you I feel lesser alone I remember your face / imprinted on angels Your voice as beautiful / as the sounds of waves Crashing against my heart Time slows down when you look at me I'm infatuated with this / infatuated with you It's so hard for me to understand why I hadn't found you before don't dull away Hold my hand
Wow, this song appeared more than 20 years ago! It seems yesterday that I put this song on my Myspace blog and I am already 40! I miss that days so much :(...
I used to send my wife love letters and poems when ineas coirting her. Still to this day, she tells me this was her favorite one I ever sent her. This song is pure poetry.
My best friend introduced me to poison the well, he moved to Florida n back to Indiana and showed me them I've been stuck since , he just passed long live my brother Justin Blaine McKee
The moment I heard this song over an old hardcore friend's car stereo, we got back in the car and drove to the mall so I could get my own copy. This song remains as a classic to me. For hardcore fans with feelings 😉 Great band.. put on great shows 💙
You're not alone, signed a pregnant 35 yo mom who wants old hxc shirts but in the cycling of trends..it's vintage and expensive on eBay now. I just...want to feel..this way...forever!
It's with coffee for me in the morning before my house wakes up. In my head at the show (real life sweeping, putting away clean dishes) but it's just me in my kitchen.
This album was super hard hitting and really unique for the time. I was still in high school when this came out and I remember when I first got my driver's license I would blast this song while driving around lol. Crazy it's been like 24 years...
I used to be in a class with this guy in high-school (wish i could remember his name) who would blare this song all the time. I just didn't get it. I was like what is this crap? It was my first time hearing something like this. And here I am like 2 decades later still listening to this masterpiece. I'll never forget this song because of that. I wish I could thank that guy for opening my mind to a new genre because it was this song he wouldn't stop playing that got me to fall in love with it.
The only good screamo song ever written. Not bad ass enough to qualify as hardcore and not nearly enough technical skill to qualify as metal. So good tho regardless of genre despite its lack of badassery or technical skill the heart is there
LOL. Not badass enough? Not technical enough? Uhhh... you ever see them live back in the day? This song was pure murder, and stands with any metalcore album that was relevant at that time.
@@james-hamar I’m a metal guy. I’ll listen to other stuff but as everyone knows any music that isn’t metal is instantly inferior to someone like myself. It is my duty to point out the inferiority of anything that isn’t metal enough for my taste. I’ll meet you halfway and give it honorary badass status. Technical tho I stand by my original opinion. This is a good song wish they had more like it

They could sell out arenas
They will just write and album no one wants to hear to be edgy. They just get in a time machine, unwrite everything up to the album, and try again.

Ty for posting the lyrics
Maybe that it makes our narrator feel as if he’s in a painting? Finally able to rest?
you never see lyricism/poetry like this anymore in modern mainstream music, quite sad honestly

Turning 40 this year and I agree. I miss VFW shows seen so many great bands
Don't tell me that 😭 it only came out like 10 years ago alright?
The opposite of December is an absolutely incredible album. One of my favourite metalcore/hardcore bands.
Same I love this album with all my heart, I also love their early EPS witch I believe aren't on Spotify but definitely on RUclips
Still one of the best love songs ever created.

All my band shirts got ruined in a laundry tragedy. 😢. Got to start my collection new
damn, this song brings me back to my teens. One of the first metalcore songs that started it all for me
Forever a banger

I love this song. I wanted it as my wedding song but my husband wasn’t keen!
Get a better husband! 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Married the wrong dude...
I’ve always wanted to hear this song played by an orchestra. A small group of strings and a singer would be awesome for a wedding.
That's seriously such a cool idea!
Still remember every lyric, until this day. Crazy what an impactful song can do.
I rememeber listening to this when I was young, im 39. jaja
Something about the drums in poison the well just does it for me. ❤
Listening to this sends me back to my highschool years !
Years after, it still sounds good af ;)
