- Every shot from my round (12 handicap) of golf at Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas (Bandama) Golf Course in Gran Canaria. I played this course at the start of the year and scored fairly well. Looking to go around even better this time out!

First video I’ve seen of yours for a while. 100% improvement off the tee especially with driver which I think is half the battle to lowering scores - distance off the tee keeping it in play - very good. Short game let you down in this round and putting on those greens looked really tough to be fair. Also when you scored that quad, remember it makes all us worse golfers feel much better about ourselves. Keep up the good content! 😀
Thanks Ava, I totally agree. My tee shots just recently have really been putting me in better places to score lower. The short game has disappeared annoyingly but I'll work on that 👍 Aha I'll keep that in mind 😂 Thanks for watching dude!

Since you started I have watched you, I play to roughly your standard and bizarrely have improved as you have! which is why I love watching your videos as I can relate to them.. I watch a lot of channels g/mates s/shiels and others but I’ve got to say I enjoy yours the most. I’m in Kent, I wished I lived nearer to you would have loved to get a game in with you lol 😜

Really appreciate these videos! I have a 31 handicap and started playing this year seriously. Brought it down from (unofficially) hitting 130+ every round. Started tracking them for 4 rounds now. Your videos let me play better knowing I don't need to hit the green every time and making 3 putts are ok. Not being funny, these help a lot in strategizing.

What a beautiful course. Those double bogeys and the young par are the real culprits. Some absolutely amazing shots in that round like the bunker shot on the third hole. I wouldn't even be able to hit it once. Hahah.

Looks a great course. Driving and fairway irons look solid to me, and most of us would struggle on greens that quick. Well done to camera lady, already pretty proficient I would say. If camera lady is going to learn to play maybe we could follow her progress and give our encouragement?

Some quite narrow fairways which you dealt with quite well, Luke. I was wondering if maybe you should invest in a 60 deg. Lob Wedge as you were quite close on the edges of greens in the first set of 9 and the pitching wedge was making them run a fair bit. Just a thought.

I think 20 plus is probably reasonable on such a difficult course if you can't read the greens. The blow up at 17th was avoidable.

If you're good rounds are 20-22 over then that would make you a 22 handicap. My good round are 10-12 over 👍

Set the hook, and reel her in. Let her hit some shots on the green, before you know it, she will be picking out some clubs. Punch out shots, my secret is to use a stiff, firm putting stroke with my driver. Don't knock it till you try it. Great shot if you need to keep it low, and/or no backswing. Practise, practise, practise.

Only just started watching your content, so can’t comment from an improvement perspective - but got to say you hit your driver and irons very well 💪🏼
Hopefully this doesn’t offend, but there’s room for improvement in your short game - which with a bit of work would see you off single figures.
If you ever go down the coaching route, would recommend Dan Grieve @ Woburn. Best short game specialist around.
I read his book, and then went to his short game school - it knocked around 3-4 shots off my round!

I just know how much Dan’s helped me with my short game, and wanted to share.
I noticed you mentioned you’ve been for a lesson at Zen Golf, and I do watch some of their content - and unlike you I do sometimes struggle on the striking of my irons / driver.
Did you notice a big improvement after your visit there? Did you or they publish the video lesson?
Yeah I made a video on the channel. It's one of the more recent ones if you want to check it out 👍 But it opened my eyes to quite a few things in relation to the golf swing. My biggest takeaway was how under utilised my right side was. Like anything in golf, it's not an instant fix but I definitely think it's helped me improve
