I park mine in the back away from everyone else hoping to go under the radar. Also use a cover but that's more for the rain. Glad that it can also deter some theft.
Great production quality on this video, love the graphics on the intro, and speaking of the intro, what an amazing way to get into the video! I feel like the only thing this might have been missing was a bit more light, but it kind of suited the video so either way this was a really great video!
You can get motorcycle covers with reinforced holes to pass a lock through the wheels at both ends, making it tougher for them to "unwrap the present". Other than that, this is really solid advice coming from someone with real world experience. There was a big theft a few years ago in North Sydney, where a white van pulled up next to a motorcycle parking bay & the guys got out & loaded up in broad daylight. They went straight for the Ducati's, BMW's & Harley's in front of hundreds of witnesses & no one batted an eyelid, so yes, if they want your bike they'll take it. So if you commute to work & have to park on the street, get a cheap reliable bike & leave your fun bike for the weekends.
You missed what I consider to be the most effective and convenient option. Comprehensive insurance. Get the full value of the bike back without worrying if the police can recover it.
If you have a ground level door, roll that bike into the living room. I've done this at a many of Super 8's and other outside door motels. Only thing that was ever said to me by other people staying their was smart move! If you're not riding your bike daily and have your bike in an area like spite does as shown here, you could let alot of the air out of the tires and make sure they're nearly flat! Like he said thief's are lazy and if they're going to have to work their butt's off just to push the bike a few hundred yards to wherever their truck or trailer is they might just move on to an easier target. Craftsman battery operated Air compressors can be bought for cheap compared to buying a new bike if you don't have specific replacement insurance.
I was thinking about getting a Navi for my first bike but have been hesitant due to how light and small it is for this reason. But these are great tips and make me feel better. Thank you
It’s all about layers. Like cake. I like to have an anchor or something to chain my bike to. A chain around my swingarm or frame. I have an AirTag hidden. I have a GPS hidden. And a secondary GPS hidden. I also use a disc lock with an alarm. I also use a bike cover. But to be honest, parking in light won’t do much. Steering locks are good. Disc locks are good. But you can steal a bike with skateboards. But it’s definitely going to help. Also, adding a camera with motion activation can be good. It’ll send notifications when someone is coming by your bike. And potentially get a glimpse of who did it.
Glad you've gone out on your own and ditched that other channel. Love the quality of this video and hope you stick with this format. One thing I want to add is that good insurance is one of the best things you can do to protect yourself when your bike is stolen.
I was just gonna ask that question regarding insurance. I am paying a bit extra for to have theft coverage for my new bike but I do think it’s worth it. I keep it garaged but still have to go into the city with it so figured the insurance is worth it.
@@slothmarathonpromotions2470 if it gets stolen twice and you claim you might be denied coverage all together after. it's not free money when the insurance pays out.
Very Fortnine like video, which means excellent! I hate thieves. Another way to reduce crime is to move. I kept getting stuff stolen in Las Vegas. Nothing stolen in North Dakota for the last 14 years.
Great video and content. I like where you are going with it. As a wise man once said, "You cannot stop a thief determined to steal your stuff, but you can make you stuff less appealing and harder to steal so they look to the other person's stuff beside yours." As for the cover. Take a NO NAME GENERIC cover and make it look crappy. In my case it has multiple duct tape strips all over it, different colours of paint overspray and drips, spray the bottom with flat black so it looks like oil stains came off the bike, mystery white stains, greasy finger prints, etc... Learned that from two old guys pulling into a motel in a sketch area of town. They rolled in with beautiful H-D baggers and pulled out Gold Wing covers. Their theory was that no one wants to steal a Gold Wing. Adding a disc lock on both the front and rear with bright long reminder straps also helps. Get a locking gas cap if your bike does not have one helps. At a hotel in Detroit the valets let us park in the valet parking right in front of the hotel where we chained the two bike together and they had anchors in the ground. We also paid each valet $20 each to keep watch over the bikes.
Love the vids your killing it but good for thought all the products you use you should have put links for the in the description but keep up the great work bro
This is great advice, I have watched tons of vids on keeping my bike safe as I use it to commute into the city near me. This still taught me a few things, and makes me want to get that loud lock you have as I park in a parking garage. Cheers Spite!

Literally just had my cover stolen the other night. That happened and watching this video just woke me up. Now instead of the new Shoei helmet I’ll be getting chains and disc alarms and 3 cameras 😂 . Thanks for the video spite . I subscribed
You did it! Not sure if it was because a couple of us asked for it or it's just a coincidence but THANKS. To me it seems like we asked and you delivered, and that means a lot!
Great video, as usual. Absolutely right. All those measures, whilst thouted as "anti-theft", are actually only meant to be theft deterrents. ANYTHING can be stolen given enough time and adequate tools. Heck when my ignition cylinder went bad on the old FJR, I just replaced it with an on/off $0.99 switch from the parts store ziptied to the ignition hole in the triple tree. The chain and disc lock kept the bike safe.
Haha nice one! Motorcycles also get stolen often here in The Netherlands. Being transported over borders or in garages/sheds and won't be seen again. Some are found back but also a lot ain't. It's what you said as well, if they want the bike bad enough they will get it whatever you have for anti theft methods. Of course we have insurance, but not all levels of insurance cover up theft costs and some companies insist you at least have 1 or more high graded anti theft method on your bike. If they'll find out you didn't use it, and your bike gets stolen you might not get the insurance to pay out.
If you do opt for a ground anchor, don’t mount it on the ground. It leaves the chain relatively easy too cut with a grinder. Mount it on an upright surface, like a wall. Mount it above axle height, it keeps the chain off of a firm surface to hold the chain while it’s being cut. It is a major deterrent. I store my bikes airy disc locks on each rotor. They gotta carry the whole bike. Make sure at least one disc lock is alarmed. Fit a movement sensing alarm independently. Cover the bike as Spite says in a well lit area. Or if inside your garage, park your car right up against your bike. It restricts movement around your bike.
Great video. Since m last bike got stolen, I have one chain going around a lamp post and front wheel, one chain around same lamp post and frame, one chain around (you guessed it) lamp post and rear wheel, as well as an alarm disk lock and a cover at all times. It's a pain in the arse to go through that routine every day, but it's worth it
That info is gold and now I am really interested in that break lock it is something that I always overlooked, but Spite I have experienced a lot of theft and now use the Lock and cover but the theft everyone should watch out for and that I am experiencing is the con. Someone for some reason asks for your bike and you trust them, take it from me "DON'T LEND YOUR BIKE TO ANYONE!"
Great video ! Hadn’t considered chaining wheel to frame . One of those Xena alarms alerted neighbours that thieves were trying to steal my motorbike. They came with a grinder but didn’t even bother using it to attack my chain . They fled.
Echos of Ryan @ Fortnine, and that's a serious compliment. It's wonderful to see more entertaining, well made videos. Really great, well made, with your own style in there. I think you're really on to something here.
Great vid. Had 2 bikes stolen. Dr350, came buy my brothers and threw in back of truck. The 2nd in front of my buddies house at 3p. Didnt lock the steering & thief just rolled away & think hid it in nearby house. Lesson learned. I did have theft on both bikes at least
Once i left my motorcycle at the airport car park and went on a holiday. There were dozens of bikes there. When i arrived, the cover on my bike was lifted up in the front wheel area and hooked up high on the steering bar. Clearly someone was checking what my bike's make and condition was. Because i had two chains on a front wheel and a screemer disc lock on the back wheel they did not still my bike. But i was surprised that even in such place with lots of CCTV cameras around someone still tried to steal my bike.
In my case, 3 types of locks are used: 1. Standard Fork Lock. 2. An U-lock for the side stand to keep it down. If they could turn the bike on the machine will power itself off on 1st gear for safety reasons. 3. An alarm lock on the rear disc.
Good job on the production man, enjoyed it. On the substance note - i would like to know more about things you can bolt in ground so no one can lift the bike.
Excellent content, Spite! I sadly had to report a bike stolen for the first time last year; I had full coverage and was able to replace it, but it still sucked. It's a horrible sinking feeling to walk outside and realize your prized possession is missing. I feel very foolish as I'd just plain gotten complacent and was not using any security beyond the fork lock :(. I have a cover and alarmed disc lock bud had stopped using them. I don't know if those things would have deterred the thief but hey, they stood a chance. Now I have the big "piss off" chain and lock, between the frame and a post, and it's parked behind my car such that it's difficult to maneuver out even for me. I also suggested to my HOA that they install some cameras, which they did. I've had no problems since. So yeah, folks, follow the advice here and I'd say cover & disc-lock at *bare* minimum. Chain to something solid if at all possible. Complex/community gates are just a nuisance for Amazon and Dominoes, they don't stop thieves. Private garages *do* get broken into so don't think you're immune out in the 'burbs.
I used the Scorpio alarm system on my sport bikes. They had a proximity alarm when somebody got close or the alarm would sound as soon as somebody touched the motorcycle. I looked into the Scorpio alarm for my current bike, but they have very bad reviews of late.
that was a great video, I liked it. But you forgot the "MOST" effective theft deterrent. Have a bike nobody will go to jail over stealing! That's why I gave my daughter (who lives in an apartment) a 2005 Honda Shadow 750C, lol 😆 It's a great first bike and no one even looked at stealing it for her first season of riding 😂 One thing you didn't mention about the disc locks is the fact that when it rains the rain will set them off! every time....ask me how I know, smh lol
Spent a little more time getting creative with this one. Let me know if you like this style of video, it was a ton of fun to produce.

It's brilliant because it's completely hidden...unless he drives the truck that day.
I park mine in the back away from everyone else hoping to go under the radar. Also use a cover but that's more for the rain. Glad that it can also deter some theft.
Great job on the video, Spite.
I watch videos for the content, but also the personality, and you deliver on both.
So if you commute to work & have to park on the street, get a cheap reliable bike & leave your fun bike for the weekends.
sad society we live in
You missed what I consider to be the most effective and convenient option. Comprehensive insurance. Get the full value of the bike back without worrying if the police can recover it.
Excellent video.👍 Only thing I would like are links to some of the products talked about.
You were the only reason I ever watched the Yammie Boob channel, so I'm really glad to see you doing so well on your own! Keep up the great work!
Production of these has gotten insane!
Loving the format and the effort. No stupid memes, no lists, no fluff. Getting a nice Fortnine vibe and I mean that in the most positive way! 👍👍👍
I was thinking about getting a Navi for my first bike but have been hesitant due to how light and small it is for this reason. But these are great tips and make me feel better. Thank you
Fantastic cinematography and styling. Fan ode to fortnine quality with the attitude of Spite
Great job, well scripted and the edits are great. Best one yet
Love, love, LOVE the intro. I feel like I say this every video, but keep up the great work!
As a wise man once said, "You cannot stop a thief determined to steal your stuff, but you can make you stuff less appealing and harder to steal so they look to the other person's stuff beside yours."
As for the cover.
Really enjoy the style of this video. Cannot wait to see how this channel evolves.
Awesome Video. Thanks for the Information‼️
Love the vids your killing it but good for thought all the products you use you should have put links for the in the description but keep up the great work bro
It's always a good day when Spite posts! Also this was Fortnine level quality. Keep it up.
Fantastic video Spite!! Loving the mix of casual chats/rides and produced videos like this. Such a great mix, youre killing it mate!!
This is great advice, I have watched tons of vids on keeping my bike safe as I use it to commute into the city near me. This still taught me a few things, and makes me want to get that loud lock you have as I park in a parking garage. Cheers Spite!
I love the intensity, production and content of this video. Great vid Spike!
it is really impressive how the production quality levels up on every single video you post 0.0
I didn’t even watch it( i was listening) and it was definitely a notch above. Please don’t burn out though so we can still get content from you for years to come!
Awesome vid! I’ve been worried about this for a while considering I’m planning to purchase a bike soon and wasn’t sure what to do, thanks for the advise!
Great production quality!!
the effect on the logo in the intro was sick! great video spite!
Got a bit of some F9 vibes! Came out really cool
It's a pain in the arse to go through that routine every day, but it's worth it
New to motorcycle and I live in nyc. Your video helps me so much! Thank you 🙏🏾
Absolutely loving the production levels on this vid
I freaking love this topic. Aced again. Video production was smooth. Filming it at night was a challenge I bet. Still, worth it.
Dude this was a fantastic video! Thanks for this!
Wow the improvement on the quality of videos is amazing bro, keep up the good work.
Cheers from the other side of the atlantic! :D
Love this style, great work! Does remind me a little of F9, but that’s a great style to borrow from.
Great vid. Had 2 bikes stolen. Dr350, came buy my brothers and threw in back of truck. The 2nd in front of my buddies house at 3p. Didnt lock the steering & thief just rolled away & think hid it in nearby house. Lesson learned. I did have theft on both bikes at least
Any links for all of the anti-theft devices including tracker?
Glad I'm not the only one feeling Spite channeling his inner F9. Great work dude!!!
Dude the production value of this video is awesome 😎 seriously, nice work!
I love everything about this video! I love your tips! I also love love love the lighting and music! 👍😊🔥🌟
Thank you, Spite. I'm a beginner. Super new to everything and I've always wondered how to keep bikes secure. I appreciate the knowledge and wisdom!
Definitely see where all the quality Yam videos came from, keep it up Spite. Love the videos
Channel gaining speed, good for you, I was hoping you'd make it through after what happened! All the best!
also, serious F9 vibes, and that's a good thing ;)
Once i left my motorcycle at the airport car park and went on a holiday. There were dozens of bikes there. When i arrived, the cover on my bike was lifted up in the front wheel area and hooked up high on the steering bar. Clearly someone was checking what my bike's make and condition was. Because i had two chains on a front wheel and a screemer disc lock on the back wheel they did not still my bike. But i was surprised that even in such place with lots of CCTV cameras around someone still tried to steal my bike.
In my case, 3 types of locks are used:
1. Standard Fork Lock.
2. An U-lock for the side stand to keep it down. If they could turn the bike on the machine will power itself off on 1st gear for safety reasons.
3. An alarm lock on the rear disc.
I see the editing is really getting good.enjoying the channel
Loved the different style, great content as usual 🤙
Great work on this one. Opening scene had feels of F9 and they produce some of my favorite content. Glad to see the channel is prospering.
Great job, great camera work, good information, and really loved the eerie vibe the music created.
Getting the F9 vibes from this video. Love this style! Keep it up Spite!
Excellent video Spite! I would even go as far as saying that the intro gave me FortNine vibes!
Keep them going, you are doing a great job
