Hey, it‘s not that bad...Luxemburg made an enormous progress in the last 10 years. So luxemburg isn‘t anymore a country everyone has to beat like 6:0...we came from 11 non professional starting players to now, 11 professionals on the pitch. We made it from League D into League C in the first Nations League and ended the last Nations League second with 10 points in League C. From the last 7 competitive games, we won 4, draw 1 and only lost 2 games. In overall total we played 415 games since the year 1911 and only won 44 total, but 21 of them, we won between 2010 and now! I agree that Ireland still has to win against Luxemburg, but Luxemburg isn‘t anymore a country everyone has to win like 6:0. We had a good game yesterday and want to work with that for the future.

I think it's high time that the FAI take a long, hard look at the grass roots football in Ireland and put more money in to our league. Benchwarmers from the lower English leagues just won't cut it. If it makes y'all feel better, the Romanian champs (a decent 2nd tier team judging by their results in Europe League in the last few seasons) were kicked from the Champions League 2-3 seasons ago by Luxembourg's champs. I think it's high time that the FAI take a long, hard look at the grass roots football in Ireland and put more money in to our league. Benchwarmers from the lower English leagues just won't cut it.
