@@Paul-eb4jp I get that you might not like Scotland but that's an absolutely horrific take. He isn't universally ridiculed for no reason, the guy is an absolute bomb scare.
He had a decent season at Leicester and was then totally overhyped literally just because he is English, like your strange media outlets seem to do for every single player who shows a modicum of talent. There is a reason why foreign teams hardly ever fork out the value placed on English players and that is because they are mentally overpriced. For context, Mason Mount, Jadon Sancho, and Harry Maguire all sit next to each other on the top 10 list of most expensive English transfers... Mount and Sancho are utter dross. There are several English players that would walk into the Scotland team but Harry Maguire is so far away from being one of them. Just because Man United were stupid enough to waste £78 million on Harry Maguire does not make him a world class player. If John McGinn was English, he would go for double the price of Harry Maguire. You either need to watch many more games of football or you need to stop basing a player's ability on their price tag.

This was Scotland's cup final. Singing songs about some mediocre player was their highlight. Thought England would score more goals to be honest. Hard to assess England as it was 2nd gear stuff.

@@myabiaahIt’s never a friendly between Scotland and England. Both sides would’ve went into the game absolutely desperate to beat each other, I definitely was.
Had bigger moments than singing about Harry Maguire though, Flower of Scotland was the best I’ve ever heard at Hampden. Shame about the gulf in class on the park, game like that would be immense if both teams were top 5 in the world

There’s part of a player in him, just think his confidence is shot to bits. We played on it from the moment he came on and I think he only made 2 or 3 forward passes before scoring the own goal. The rest went back to Ransdale who actively tried to avoid passing back to him almost every time
