Good information, Thank You! I do find this text odd myself as Mark definitely didn't spend his whole time showing Old Testament fulfilments. That was Matthew's Gospel. I am not suggesting that I believe it isn't original, but it doesn't fit well especially the way it is phrased. I would expect it more like "as it is written" if Mark.
The absence from A02, which is somewhat Byzantine, makes this one distinctively interesting. The lacuna in W032 is frustrating. 059 is also intriguing. The Centre for New Testament Restoration is instructive here.
Great explanation. I was reading a verse today in Mark, 7:15 to be exact. There was a footnote in the NKJV saying the NU omits the part where it says in saying this, He declared all foods clean. Do you have a video that discusses whether this part of the verse belongs there or not? I would be greatly interested in hearing your thoughts on this.

I think that Metzger's plural 'text types' refers to one Alexandrian text type and one Western text type. It would have been clearer to say 'from the Alexandrian text type and from the Western text type'.
Metzger is too ready to assert interpolation and to see no reason for an omission, even though accidents happen. That said, your lectionary hypothesis is similarly speculative. Mark 15:16-32 is one of the Twelve Gospels of the Passions. Why would a verse be omitted for lectionary purposes? If a lection ended at v. 28 and another began at v. 29, such an explanation would be more plausible. I need to study Scrivener more closely and the lectionaries in general.

With your screen showing English text, I suspect they would need to find everything in their language also. I have seen other channels with "transcript" and that i believe is automated after enabling it. That should allow you to enable CC, but subtitles CC are often off a bit.
